Definitely the future to lighting up your smart home

I like how easy it was to screw in the light bulbs. I surprisingly didnt need any extra help. The bulbs and control panel were very easy to setup with the wifi and the phones app. Easy to setup with other devices and tablets. Imagine forgetting to turn off your kitchen lights and your just about to fall asleep in your bed. Now anyone can conveniently turn off there kitchen lights without having to get up.

I have had these for several months and we have purchased more for the house. We have a total of 8 bulbs operating on 1 hub and they work great.

Loving these in the bedroom

So nice to be able to lay in bed and adjust the lights. If I were disabled these would be necessary. I got refurbished and they look new. Setup was a breeze - the hue app runs well and reaction time is immediate even though the hub is across the house. I'm about to try the fade in feature to help with waking up. May update review then

I really like that you can dim them

Brilliant

We have installed these all over our house. The integration with Alexa, along with the sensors has cut down on the wasted energy whilst at the same time provided a level of automation where we don’t have to turn off or on the lights anywhere in the house. The oath just lights the way as we walk. Brilliant.

Easy to setup

Bought this refurbished set for my apartment--great value, no quality issues even with the refurbished set. Easy to setup, easy to control with the app. The dimmer option is a nice ambience change from standard harsh apartment lighting.

Ease of use.

I had read many reviews about the Phillips Hue starter kit and was very skeptical about the quality. I decided to roll the dice and buy one. With Amazons return policy, I knew that I could easily get my money back. I received the kit and installed the two bulbs. Then I connected the hub to my router and powered it on. I used the app for ios on my phone and the two light bulbs could not be detected. I powered the bulbs off and back on and they still could not be detected. I then reset the hub. The light bulbs could still not be detected. I went into the app, checked settings and found that a software update was available. I updated the system. Once the update was complete, I got notified that another update was available. I completed this update as well. After the second update I reset the bulbs and the hub. I performed another search and the hub detected the two bulbs. After this, I worked with the app and named the bulbs and then the rooms. I assigned the bulbs to the rooms and started learning. The app could be a little more intuitive, but with a bit of patience, you can quickly figure things out. I have seven bulbs installed, and at this time I am completely happy with the system.

Love these

I LOVE these. I paired them with Alexa and now when I come into the house carrying groceries I can just ask the lights to turn on. It makes being a parent trying to save on electricity so much easier. Turning off all the lights is as simple as using the app when I'm at work or asking Alexa to turn them all off when I'm in bed.
