I ordered the variety pack. While we found merits with every flavor, my husband and I definitely preferred some flavors over others. In order, we preferred: 1. Aged Cheddar--these reminded us of the old Planter's Cheeze Balls. Great Crunch & mouth-feel. 2. Pizza--delicious! The pizza flavoring isn't too over-whelming and is a nice change from "cheese" 3. Strawberry--This one surprised us! It reminded us of sugar cereal more than anything--Trix maybe? 4. Siracha & Parmesan ("Croutons")--these are about even. Nothing too special about them. Nothing offensive either. Good, solid, crunchy snacking choice. 5. Chocolate--Not my favorite, but I'd still eat them if I had them around. Taste kind of like a breakfast cereal, but not as good as strawberry. Disclaimer: Both my husband and I eat low-carb/Keto. I'm sure being in ketosis affects the way these taste. If you also eat low-carb/Keto, I highly recommend these. They're more satisfying (and cheaper) than Moon Cheese. They deliver that "crunch" so many Keto-ers are still looking for. If you don't eat low-carb, I can only assume these taste like cardboard or worse. But, if you don't eat low-carb, I don't know why you would want to eat these. We also found the size to be perfect. It was large enough to feel satisfying, but small enough that we didn't tire of the flavor--they "novelty" hadn't worn off. I highly recommend these snacks.

I was looking for a keto friendly alternative to regular cheese puff balls. These aren't exactly the same, but they are good enough that I certainly don't mind. The taste is very good. They're a bit more dense than cheese balls, but, meh. If you're looking for a low carb alternative to cheese balls, these will do very well. The extra protein is a bonus.

I LOVE these! They are very similar in texture to a cheese puff but even crunchier. But not overly crunchy like Moon Cheese is. The flavor is amazing, doesn’t taste “diet” at all. It’s measured by weight but my first package had 27 nice sized puffs which makes it 3.3 calories per puff. Amazing for anyone on a diet especially keto. Will definitely be buying more. (If this review is helpful, please let me know! :)

All flavors are incredible. So much better than the Quest protein Chips which i just used to tolerate. Perfect no guilt snack. Try it, you will be back for more!

Every time. Every single time, I go to Walmart, the big tub of cheese balls seeks me out. Doesn’t matter what I go to Walmart for, I always have to walk by those little cheesy devils. And every time I see them, I get hit with a nostalgic warm feeling. Back to a year ago when I bought a big tub for my kids, but kept them in my van and ‘forgot’ to take them inside the house. Remembering the way a proper cheese ball explodes and disintegrates almost instantly into a fine cheesy powder, like a perfect little grenade, when your teeth make impact with it. I needed those back in my life. Dumb being fat. Dumb Keto. Then, a few days ago... word on the street was, ShrewFood has a comparable(ish) treat. Baked Cheddar Protein Crisps! Nothing will ever taste like your Mom’s cooking just like nothing will taste like pure cheeseball magic. But these nuggets of joy will get the job done. They are toothier than your normal cheeseball. You know, kinda like an aldente cooked pasta is toothier than fully cooked. Much firmer. No powdered explosion. And the taste isn’t spot on. But they sure as heck will calm your craving and keep you from jumping off the keto ledge into a pool of Nutella filled bear claws, and regretting your decision to get knocked out of the sacred ketosis state you’ve been fighting to maintain. Cost: does it really matter? If you are jonesing cheeseballs as much as me, no. Otherwise, these are expensive. $14.99 for 8 tiny packages.

Taking into account that the overall texture of these are more like shredded rice cakes pressed into a ball, these are actually a tasty replacement for carb-heavy snacks. Plus the snack bites are fairly small, so it gives the impression of having more. I tried all of them. Sriracha Cheddar: This is the least favorite of the savory flavors. There is something more "artificial" tasting in it. It has a nice spice to it with the Sriracha, but overall I most likely won't order this flavor again. Baked Cheddar: I actually quite liked this one. It's not as cheesy tasting as a "real" cheddar puff, but it does have a good flavor and crunch to it. Brick oven Pizza: These remind me more of those pizza bites that taste like pizza...but not exactly the same. It does have a bit of a more robust flavor than the savory ones. Cookies & Cream: I don't really get a Cookies and Cream flavor as much as a dark chocolate puff flavor. I do like it, but it's not super sweet. Strawberry & Cream: These are pretty sweet, but not overly so. They are probably my favorite of the two sweet varieties. Parmesan Herb: If these are supposed to be replacement croutons, they are the closest in taste to what they are replacing. There are a lot of herbs and a LOT of garlic flavor. Very crunchy and delicious.

I was afraid when I ordered these Cheddar Crisps that they would not live up to the hype. In fact, they have surpassed all expectations. They are heavenly. How fun to be addicted (yup!) to a low cal/low carb healthy snack. The crisps are much smaller (yay!) than one might think from the photo on the package.

I bought these on the strong recommendation of someone in one of my Keto diet groups. I was doubtful they'd be any good, but they're delicious! 2 carbs per bag, low fat, high protein, and exactly the type of flavor and texture you'd expect from a cheese ball or puffy Cheetos... But with a perfect cheesy pizza flavor. Gonna have to try the all cheese flavor, these do a better job of replicating chippy, cheesebally, crunchy 'junk food' than anything low carb I've tried. Worth every penny. Update: tried the cheese flavor and OMG they taste just like classic cheese balls! Definitely the closest approximation of a carby junk food I've had since going low carb! These will become a regular staple.

My new favorite side with my low carb burgers and hot dogs! Tastes (to me) just as good as Cheetos! I will be buying many more of these in the future!!

Prior to purchasing this flavor (as well as the strawberry flavor - bought both at the same time), I hadn't thought of using a sweet flavor on this type of food item - typically you think of cheese/savory. As such, I did not really have any preconceived notions - other than they would either be really good or gross (probably would not land in the middle). The cookies and cream flavor was very good. The flavor is slightly muted, but since the protein puff is basically tasteless, that works out fine - ends up being a little more chocolatey than the traditional cookies and cream flavor. Overall, they taste good and are not like any other low carb snack that I have had thus far. I have really liked every flavor of the shrewd food items that I have tried (sriracha cheddar, pizza, strawberry, and cookies and cream). One suggestion - the protein puff base would also seem to lend itself to work well with a churro / cinnamon flavor. Just a thought in case the manufacturer is on the lookout for new flavors.
