I used this to replace my wife's iPad Air whose screen had shattered. Removing the tiny pieces was a B (the name Ripley called the mother Alien in the movie) even when the broken screen was taped up with packaging tape. That adhesive Apple used to stick the glass is strong, even with a good heat gun. The tools provided was not up to the task in my opinion. I ended up using two surgical scalpels to separate the glass from the frame. I suppose an X Acto knife would be even better (Look for "Dremel 1550 T2" on Amazon). Just watch the numerous videos on YouTube and know where the vulnerable cables are run under the screen to avoid them. Once the screen is off, it was a breeze to install, if you are handy. Those tiny screws are ant-sized. Do not lose them. Work on a light colored uncluttered surface so if they roll away, you can still find them. HDE could also do a better job explaining how the screen is glued back on. The instruction sheet was hard to read and understand, but the videos online do a great job demonstrating how, although most, if not all, were for their competitors' products.

This was the very first one I've ever done, reading over the instructions provided and using the tools, plus a couple others this was very easy to do. The screen went together smoothly I am very satisfied with this product

This is a great replacement. A couple of things, there is a piece with double sided tape you need to fold on to itself and tape. The home button needs to be replaced with the one from the original screen, or you will have issues. There is a protective plastic on the back of the digitizer that keeps it clean. You will need some double sided tape to replace the old stuff you remove. Go slow and keep reheating to not break anything.

Difficult to install. If you’ve swapped iPhone screens in the past and are hoping for a walk-in in the park this isn’t it, my friends. It’s not this products fault, this screen is working great! It’s the disassembly of a shattered iPad screen that’s the hard part. As you try to gently remove your broken screen, it will begin to crumbling worse than a nature valley granola bar. Your fingertips will beg you to stop. You may find yourself trying not to breath in the fine particulate glass but it’s too late for you. Remember when there was a rumor of fiberglass in Newport cigarettes? Anyhoo, the screen is in and works as described. Wish it came with adhesive tape. Oh, the little suction cup is of poor quality, you might want a better tool kit and a heat gun.

Quality digitizer screen that comes with the tools to replace the old cracked screen. The screen has the adhesive pre-applied, just peel off the protective strips and place on the iPad. Instructions are good and the screen looks and works just like the original. I use a circuit specialists hot air gun made for surface mount soldering to heat soften the old adhesive. I set it to 220° and play it on the area to be softened. Then pry up and work around the screen heating and placing guitar picks or business cards between the screen and iPad.

The process itself to replace the screen was pretty easy. The only issue I had was removing the broken old screen (didnt have a heat gun). The pre-applied adhesive is great, just had to pull the plastic off and stick on. The extra blue wedge thing was very helpful. I took the home button off and replaced it with the old one so my touch thing works which was easier than I though it would be. If my screen breaks again I will be buying this one.

Everything worked as described, didn't need the touchID so that wasn't an issue for me. Kit came with most everything you need, i would add that you need a hairdryer and an XActo knife or some other thin blade/tool to allow you to start separating the glass, but other than that its a great low cost kit that just saved me a lot of money! Didn't use the instructions provided by the company, just used YouTube tutorials.

I loved the price and how easy it was to read and understand the instructions. The only thing I would say needs improving is letting the customer know that it doesn’t come with the adhesive to bond the screen back together, that would help the customer know what to buy ahead of time.

Received as expected with small tools. Had to buy a heat gun to remove old assembly. Written instructions were ok but could have been better. Instructions given on YouTube were better but you have to make certain that you have the right model. Make sure to have a clean work area and old glue residue must be removed. I used eyeglass cleaner and it seemed to well. The job was not tough but you have to be careful especially if your old screen was broken and little pieces of glass have to be removed using the heat gun and the supplied plastic tools.

Hardest part was getting the old shattered screen off. Once off tho was very easy to install. Only thing once on, the ribbons on the bottom right like to push the screen back out a bit and don’t seal up correctly. Ran the heat gun back over it a few times and that did the trick. Would strongly recommend. 1st time doing a replacement myself and was pretty straight forward. Just go slow and don’t rush yourself. Get a decent case afterward and a screen protector. Don’t touch the LCD inside and if you do better have rubber gloves on. Supper hard to clean the LCD of finger prints if you don’t. But overall great experience. Would buy again if ever had to replace again. PS. Swapping out the home button is very easy as well.
