My kits have chewed a cardboard box to create a rough edge they can scratch against, so I figured this was perfect for them. (And I could get the cardboard box out of the living room.) But zero interest! So I found a neighbor's cat with fewer engineering skills, and he absolutely loves it. The scratcher is well made, easy to assemble, a great product. But, with cats, you just never know.

I was initially concerned when I unpacked the arch, as it felt very light & flimsy. 2 of my cats are behemoths & I didn't think this thing would stand a chance against them. When I set it up, my cats slowly approached it. It was like the opening of 2001: A Space Odyssey, where the apes were approaching the monolith. They started sniffing it & smacking each other, trying to establish the hierarchy of who would get first claim to this magical arch. Ultimately, my largest cat won. She loves the arch. The other cats do too, but they have to sneak past the queen to use it. Despite the kerfluffles, the arch still stands. The cats love rubbing against it. The carpet on the base is a wonderful touch & is frequently clawed at by everyone. I kept having issues with one of my cats clawing at the bedroom carpet, but now she seems to prefer the arch & I haven't caught her tearing up my floor in a while. I definitely recommend this thing.

Bag of Catnip comes with, my cat has been stoned for days!!!! She just lays on the carpet and snuggles against the bristles. Her favorite lounge place, ever!!!

I swear to god- I get madder with each cat product i have to review that I thought was spectacular but my cats didn’t. I honestly think they are just rude AF, and super ungreatful.

My cats LOVE this thing. I'm always a bit worried buying anything specifically for my cats as they are finicky and would rather play in the box it came in or in our laundry hamper. But I spread a bit of catnip on the bottom and sprinkled over the top of the arch and they all LOVE it. As another reviewer said, the material is kind of reminiscent of an artificial Christmas tree and it's the perfect texture for our cats to love. My only complaint is the it comes in two pieces. the base and the arch and you have to push them together and no matter how much you think it's securely attached if your cat attacks it with the same gusto as mine, one (or both) of the ends will pop out and you'll be once again stuck with two pieces. I fixed this with a bit of superglue added to the hole before putting in the end of the arch and that seems to have fixed this pesky problem. other than that - this is the perfect cat toy/groomer and I'd definitely recommend it!!

This one is the second Cat Self Groomer I bought on Amazon,it's much better than first one I bought in another store, and this one is cheaper about 10 dollars. My cat loves this thing always rubbing up on it,and it's very strong, they can't take it apart like they did with first one.Good buy!

I have a massive cat (seems about 90% Norwegian Forest Cat) who loves nuzzling on things, and his sheer size and thick fur means he pushes hard and knocks stuff over trying to get a good scritch. He LOVES this giant pipe cleaner arch. He doesn't usually walk through it, (but he can if he scrunches down a bit), but he nuzzles it, hugs it, even sleeps with his head and front legs on the platform. The base is just big enough that it works for him to stand (or lie) on it and his own body weight keeps it from falling over while he pushes his head on the bristles. He also enjoys if we swing a wand toy around it or if we just pick up the arch itself and kind of move it around for him to explore and half wrestle with. He's a big guy and, well, not always the most astue, so it takes a large toy/object to get him to notice or interact with something on his own, but this has been a hit. It's a little more difficult to clean than expected because the bristles are really long, so we use a comb to pull out the fur rather than try to pluck it out with our fingers. But even that's kind of a good thing because it means his long, fine fur actually gets stuck in it rather than loosened and blown all over.

These are great for my cats like to rub their necks. sides etc. on them.

This product is NOT like a toilet brush as I thought it looked like, the bristles are soft enough that it wont hurt the little ones, but sturdy enough to provide a good brushing for the cats. Unfortunately my one cat is really unintelligent and started trying to eat the bristles, so this one my have to get put away. The product itself however is well worth the money, well built and provides cats with their own little self-brushing station.
