accurate and easy

I love that this thermometer has three "faces" - sad face, straight face, and happy face. Gives you a fast idea of what temps are too high and what temps are okay. It pointed to the straight face and then the sad face for me today... along with telling me my temp. Sick day for me!

Super fast reading time!

Okay, it's a thermometer. What can be special about it? This thing reads temperature super fast. Granted, the one I had before this was from the 90s, but it always took an eternity to read. The fact that this one is super fast makes it so much easier when you have an antsy 3 year old daughter whose already not feeling well.

Easy to read and quick

This is a versatile thermometer. Can be used for infants rectally or for the family orally. Even for pets rectally as well. The read out is clear and concise and takes very little time.

This is the one!

First let me say that having a thermometer that is ready to use when you turn it on is a valuable feature in my opinion! Nothing worse than having a sick child and needing to know their temperature NOW! It also registers in 8-10 seconds when used orally. And although having the disposable liners is handy, you eventually run out and have to purchase more. Not any more! This thermometer is designed so that it can be sanitized after each use! I would highly recommend this thermometer to my friends and family!!!

Accurate and fast!

We had bought the ear/forehead thermometer. It seemed to lose it's accuracy over time. I was tired of wondering if it was accurate, so I gave up and bought this. I have to be able to trust the reading and I need it to be fast. This thermometer will give a result twenty seconds. It seems very accurate. It comes with a protective plastic holder with a locking top. Very handy in the middle of the night. It will remember the last temp is recorded. Easy to use and good price and fast shipping. I recommend this thermometer.

Received this Proven Digital Thermometer 3 weeks ago. Wow, I love it. There are so many digital thermometers on the market, and trying to buy one can seem hopeless standing in front of the display at the drug store not knowing if the more expensive one is better than the cheap one. This one form Proven has worked perfect since it arrived. I am impressed. My favorite is the flexible tip; have always hated placing the stiff uncomfortable tips of traditional thermometers under my tongue, such an improvement. Instructions and digital display are easy and clear to read and see. Testing over the past week the multiple readings of my body temperature have been consistence without any issues. The second bonus is the storage case the Proven Thermometer comes with; Its a comfort to know it will be stored clean and no worries about other products or water getting on or into the body of it and destroying it. Easy to use!

This thermometer is easy to use. I like the large front facing on / off button and the fact that it beeps when it’s done. It’s flexible and comfortable to use. The digital display is easy to read. I’m not sure how accurate the reading is. When I used it several times in a row, it fluctuates between 96.8 and 97.1. This seems low compared to my normal temperature of 98.5. I may be just a bit cooler than normal. Unfortunately I don’t have another thermometer to check against. I will continue trying it over the next few days to see if it maintains the lower temp consistently, or if it was just me.

Fast and easy to read

I like the idea of the flexible end on this thermometer. It is much more comfortable. The smiley face indicators to tell whether there is a fever or not is not really a big selling point to me but my kids like to see if it says they have a fever. It also takes some of the guess work out for my husband when he takes the kids temp. He uses it to know at what point should they get a dose of meds or not. It also has a clear case to keep it protected and clean. It is quick and easy to use so I would definitely recommend it.

Sometime ago I bought a different thermometer which purported readings from forehead or ear

And it just sat there for over a year because I felt fine. Last weekend I wasn't feeling fine and got it out of the bathroom closet to use. Not the best time for an initial review of it since I had even less patience than usual, but the reality is that it had a user manual that required reading glasses, page tabs and a cross-referenced index. Let's just say I wasn't thrilled, put it back and I went out to the kitchen to put my cooking probe thermometer under my tongue. The glitzy one is going to the resale shop for someone either more skilled or patient. Back to Amazon: all I wanted was on/off/temp, and this thermometer seemed to fit the bill. Got it today and it's just what I need: on/off/temp. Don't plan to change from F to C, but I can see how to do it. Sometimes simple is still the best. Thanks!
