Great for extra storage

This has been great for us so far. We really liked the tow bar stablilizer clamp once we figured out what it was. After we assembled it, we had this clamp left over and had no clue what it was for, and it wasn't in the instructions, but we luckily had a friend over who knew exactly what it was. Guess we aren't car savy.lol! Anyways, we just youtubed a video on how to use it, and it helped to keep it from shaking. My husband delivers mail, and when there are a lot of packages, not all of them will fit in his jeep. He loads what he cant fit onto this and throws the net over it, so super convenient. We also used it to haul firewood when we went camping. It comes with straps for carrying heavier items, so we used one of those to hold it down. We haven't had any rain since we got it, so not sure about the weather proof bag yet, but it looks like it will stand up. He plans on using it for packages at work the next time it rains. If it doesn't hold up, I will post it on here, but I don't think we will have to worry about it. Also, they send a letter with everything they send saying they will make sure to help with anything you are dissatisfied with, and it has a contact number and email. Usually you have to go through a lot of trouble for customer service, so I really appreciated it being easy to find if needed.

Great all in one package

Everything arrived as promised. Carrier, hitch tightner, bag, bag tie downs, bungee net, Rachet tie downs. A great packaged value. I have no problem recommending this package. Bag looks very waterproof, and looking forward to loading it for a 1200 mile trip. I added a led light bar to the back- like they put under pickup truck tail gate- that has running light, brake, turn and even back up lights. Not necessary as the carrier fits between my taillights- but it’s an inexpensive add on. Had to also get a 48” 4pin extension. This is NOT light package included, nor necessary- just wanted to add more visibility when driving on I-75 thru Kentucky and Tennessee.

Love it!!!

We loved everything about this carrier and all the supplies that came along with it. We chose this model for 2 reasons: All the supplies included and that it folds up when not in use. There was a problem with lining up both sets of holes for the placing both pins through, but my husband easily used a drill bit to make it work out. I didn't see any reason to change my 5 star review for this problem, it was such a simple fix. From what I've read in other reviews, I know the company would have made it good but we were able to easily take care of it ourselves. We have put it on our Ford Escape to test it out before our trip and have had no problems. I love that it came with the stabilizer as well!!

Heavy Duty-Well Made

This is as solid as it gets! We were very impressed with how well made it is. Easy assembly. Took my husband (with a 3 year old “helping” only about half an hour or so. Fits our 2” hitch and holes lined up no problem. All the extras are a plus. The storage bag is very well made. Will be using for extra storage our our trip to a cruise. It’s a great size. Very roomy and will easily hold large suitcases. Best part it folds up easily and there is enough room to open the back latch no problem to have access to back area. All in all very happy with purchase.

Love it! BEE HAPPY!

This was easy to put together. I am a beekeeper. I put several plastic containers of frames and other bee equipment in the basket, when I do that, I use the net and it works well. I put equipment inside the bag and zip it up. Bag is heavy plastic and looks like it should hold up over time. When leaving my driveway without equipment inside the basket, I don’t scrape the bottom, but when filled, I hit bottom as there is a lower area from my driveway to the street. Wish it fit a little higher on my 2018 Toyota Renegade, but I still love this. Without equipment in basket, I fold it up and the car still fits in the garage. BONUS. Recommend highly.

Great product at a great price

The package with the hitch mount cargo carrier, cargo bag, net, cargo straps, and hitch stabilizer was a great value. The cargo carrier fit the hitch mount well. It was heavy and made of quality heavy duty metal materials with solid welds or strong connectors (nuts/bolts). The hitch stabilizer worked really well to reduce looseness in the hitch and make for a stable, noise-free ride. We used a couple of additional cargo ratchet straps to reduce any potential sway, but I am not not sure that they were really needed. The bag fit well into the cargo carrier and was well made. It did not keep 100% of water out, but did perform about as well as other quality car or van rooftop bags we have used in the past. We travelled from the mid-mountain states in the US to Whistler BC in Canada and back to the US at Christmas time through plenty of rain and snow, and both the carrier and bag, as well as the straps worked great. When making short trips without the bag, the cargo carrier folded up and was hardly noticeable while driving. Overall this was a great value and I would buy it again if I ever needed one. I expect I will be using this set for quite some time. Mockins did a great job with this!

Well Built, Heavy Duty, Everything You Need In A Single Kit

Very heavy item, but not a concern of mine, reminds me that its well built. Everything included in this kit means I won't need to piecemeal everything together. Bonus was the hitch tightener mechanism... nothing worse than driving down the road and have your hitch mount cargo rack, or bike rack rocking back and forth. Recommend this Mockins Hitch Mount cargo carrier.

Outstanding Customer Service!!!!

Very happy with the customer service I received. I order this hitch mount carrier last week and it arrived this past Friday (12/21). I started assembling the carrier Sunday evening (12/23) to get ready for out trip the day after Christmas. Once I had the carrier assembled I noticed that one of the holes for the retainer pin was for when the carrier was in the down position was misaligned and the pin would not fit through without some modification to the hole. I called the customer service number Sunday night to report the issue and someone got back to me within an hour! Given the circumstances, they did everything they could possibly do to try and get me a brand new cargo carrier before we leave for our trip! I am extremely happy with the customer service and would recommend their products to anyone. I was also very happy with the quality of the cargo carrier despite the misaligned hole. After talking with Mockins customer service, it appears that the item I received may have been one that had been returned to Amazon which they repackaged and sent back out and may be why there was an issue. Again, I am very satisfied and would highly recommend to an to anyone looking for a cargo carrier.

GREAT VALUE!

I had researched a cargo carrier for awhile. This is a great value because it is high quality and includes straps, net and bag. I have a 2015 Traverse and was able to open/close my back hatch without unloading the items on the carrier. We used the bag and ran into rain. A couple of bags ended up damp but not soaked. Not sure how the water got in there but I'd suggest putting items inside a large garbage bag before putting in cargo bag. Oh and assembly was quick and easy. Exactly the item I was looking for!

Perfect Product for Our Road Trip Vacation!

I bought this product for my 2016 Ford Flex. Our family vacation was over 1500 miles from Oklahoma to New Mexico to Colorado and finally back to Oklahoma. We travelled through rain, wind, sleet and snow and this held up wonderfully. We have travelled in the past with a rooftop carrier and it is such a pain loading and unloading, this made our trip so much easier. Our luggage stayed secure and dry the whole time. The only downfall is that because my Flex is a bit lower to the ground, ever so often we scraped the bottom, but my husband was well aware of this so tended to be more careful when coming/going off of steep hills.
