Don't normally write reviews, BUT... I have been struggling to find a waffle iron that does not make a mess all over the counter as the waffle batter cooks and oozes out all over the place. I bought this hoping that it would solve all of my breakfast issues... Well, I just had the opportunity to make waffles for the grandkids this weekend and I must say, this is a wonderful change! The wife did not yell at me about the white globby mess on the counter when I was done...Because there was none! There are channels on the edges of the waffle iron that catch any excess batter before it gets spit out the side. There is another upside to the channels...The batter get turned into little waffle pillows that taste great! No mess, no wasted batter. This is breakfast in heaven. This is the waffle iron you want. Trust me. You will love it. Makes a great waffle, little bonus "waffle pillows" and no yelling about the mess. Weekend breakfast bliss... What more can you ask for from a counter-top appliance?

i eat mostly paleo and have celiac. the thing i miss the most is bread. sure i can wrap things in napa cabbage but sometimes you just want bread. could not find anything i liked. then i randomly learned of the dash mini waffle maker. i got that and i love it, but each waffle took like 4-5 minutes to make. one at a time. cooking for me and my husband (4 waffles) it took two damn long. but it showed me the potential - i could make my own thick bread w/ almond flour, flax eggs, or real eggs, baking powder, or cauliflower etc! gluten free and paleo. so we bought this. and i fell in love. 4 waffles at once!! saves a lot of time. initially ran into trouble bc black safety clasp wouldnt open - so i turned the waffle maker on it's side, squeezed the top and bottom of the machine together, and was able to open the clasp. now it works fine. i can't believe no one ever told me i could make waffle "bread" - i use it for hamburgers, turkey sandwhiches. just google paleo or keto waffle recipe. i use pesto or mayo in sandwhiches. this is the only thing that works to make "bread" i love and i am so happy. i am going to make a large amount of butter, make a few sheets of waffles in one go, and save them in the fridge or freezer so i can have them when i went them, quickly, without having to mix together batter every time. they do keep well, even a few days later. my husband toasts the waffles after we cook them for a crispy consistency. i can not tell you what a game changer this has been. that mouthfeel, cozy feeling of bread, made on demand. you can also put eggs in here to make lovely omelletes. each of the 4 waffles, cooked is about 4.5" x 4". if you just measure the metal plate part, without cooking, each waffle plate is like 3.5" x 3.75" if i remember correctly but when you actually cook waffles, you will be happy to see they are bigger than that, they expand. my measurements may be off bc i just made "cauliflower waffles" - recipe is on paleohacks youtube channel. love it, love it, love it.

I needed to replace my All Clad waffle maker that I've had for 20 years and just didn't want to put out another $200. I decided to give this DASH Waffle Maker a go after reading the great reviews. It does not disappoint! I don't think there is an "easy to clean" waffle maker out there. With that said, everything wipes off without effort but of course you have to get down in to all the grooves which is time consuming on any waffle maker. I do love the channels on the side that catch any batter that oozes out! The waffles came out the perfect golden brown color. I am very happy with this purchase and the cost!

As I removed this item from its box, I was instantly reminded of my childhood. I remember (50's-60's) my Mother making waffles on cold winter Saturday and Sunday mornings. I remember the glorious smell of those waffles baking on the counter. Later, Mom taught me how to pour the batter perfectly as not to make a mess. I want to thank you for giving me this wonderful forgotten memory of my childhood and for only $40.00.

Used this waffle iron the day after it arrived, for our family and friends Easter brunch. Worked beautifully. Waffles never stuck. And I made a TON of waffles for the crew. Here's what I liked: NO POWER SWITCH. That's right, if you want it to be on, you plug it in. You want it off, you unplug it. Nothing to break here. Just simple functionality. NO STICKING. Not for me, at least. I think using a little oil in the batter helped, and the instructions for the unit say to spray cooking oil on the grids before each waffle but I forgot a couple of times and they still didn't stick. THE OVERFLOW WELLS WORKED PERFECTLY. No overflow on to our countertops, and the wells will cook the overflow for what we called "waffle nuggets", or in one case, "waffle breadsticks". Dip them in maple syrup. Yum. This is just a good, old fashioned, quality waffle iron for a decent price. VERY happy to find this, and after one hefty use, I'm feeling very good about the purchase.

I've always wanted a waffle maker and I finally took the plunge and got one! I dont regret it one bit! My daughters are ecstatic that we can now have waffles at home anytime we want them! Definitely worth it's reasonable price.

I used this Waffle Maker for the first time this morning and I'm delighted with my decision to purchase it. It's fairly light in weight, heats up to the necessary temperature quickly, easy to clean (so important because I'm naturally lazy), and is stylish. With access to all of the provided recipes, I'll be trying attempting different food creations. DASH No Mess Belgian Waffle Maker: Waffle Iron 1200W + Waffle Maker Machine For Waffles, Hash Browns, or Any Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks with Easy Clean, Non-Stick + Mess Free Sides - Silver

I plugged in and started cooking in less than five minutes! I was very impressed at the ease / cleanup is just as easy. Next summer we'll be cooking more with the waffle iron as it doesn't heat up the house as much. The waffles came out crisp and hot. You can adjust how you like your waffle to the time you leave it on the iron, it doesn't take long but there is a few practice runs to get them just the way you want them! Was worth it to us!

In this picture you see a full cup of Belgian waffle mix in the waffle maker. It really works and does exactly what it says it does. You can even eat the overflow. It heats up quick and cooks the waffles fully through even quicker. The waffles and overflow lift right out no sticking what so ever. The clean up is easy to just a damp or dry towel or cloth and wipe it out.

very easy to use and clean, If you want the waffle be soft, don't wait until the green light up,but I like the way it made when the green light up ,it tastes A bit of crispy, Yumm~
