Beautiful and pleasing to the touch

Having a letter opener handy is a must in my family. We receive over 150 letters every week. Envelopes with ragged edges from being opened with fingers results in ragged edges make it difficult to neatly file envelopes. Plus, using a letter opener is much faster, and having a good looking letter opener upgrades my image from the usual use of sheath knives, table knives, jackknives and lock blade knives.

Effective and inexpensive to replace

Stylish and Durable letter openers

Just what I was looking for... these letter openers are stylish, durable and the perfect length. I purchased these letter openers so that I would have a letter opener handy in several locations of the house. Who knew that letter openers would become so essential to me... it drives me crazy when I can't find 'the' letter opener so now I have one in the study and in the kitchen.

Does the job

These letter openers were a great price so I thought I would try them. They are very nice weight. I like that they are all metal and stainless steel so they won't rust. They are sharp and slit open envelopes very easily. I am very happy with them.

Wonderful letter opener, with one tiny but...

The blade is about 5 inches long, a bit over 3/8" at the base, and tapers to a decent point. It looks dagger-like. As it's narrow enough to easily slide into just about any envelope, I had no problems opening anything I tried it on. (It does not work on the plastic, bubble-wrap padded envelopes though. That leaves some 'gunk' on the blade.) The handle is about 3-1/2" long and comfortable to use. The actual overall length is just over 9 inches. My only "but" is that my two came in a box, but also covered with plastic kitchen wrap (read similar to Saran or Handi), and it was a real tussle to get it off of the openers. Once it was off, there was not any problem using the opener and I am not downgrading the effectiveness of the product because of this.

I am no longer able to open envelopes easily so I ordered a cute letter opener but it was plastic and didn't work for me. These metal ones are great. They even help me open boxes. Thanks.

Surprisingly good

I've always been disappointed with the dullness of letter openers, but that's not the case with these openers. They have just the right degree of sharpness--perfect for letter opening, but unlikely to generate an accidental cut of your hand. And especially considering you receive two of them, this is a great product for a great price.

Very Nice Set

I am completely satisfied with these openers. They are light weight and look great. Highly recommend!

Even better than my last one!

I somehow lost my old letter opener and I was getting tired of doing such a plebeian thing like tearing open my letters so I went hunting for letter openers. This one was a bit more expensive but it had two of them so less chance of one being lost somewhere. I was impressed when I got it. It came nicely packaged and they had a nice weight to them. Iā€™m very happy with these!
