Great
Amazing! Bought these for a home studio setup and they're great. I connected them with a balanced male-male xlr trs cable and they're great. Excellent sound and easy to set up.

Incredible sounding speakers!
Definitely the best speakers I have ever owned! They sound amazing; so clear with just enough bass too. Just be sure to position them at ear level and make sure you don't have any annoying interference which speakers like these can get if you're just used to plug and play USB speakers. Trust me though, these are worth tinkering with.

You did it again. I used to owned the Everest Dd66000. They sound like it.
Very goood sounding. The staging is perfect. High low mid. The quality is over the price. I returned to get the limited edison. Thats all i can say. Thanks to jbl.

Easiest way to hook up via headphone jack; How the sound is, bass and all
I got a pair of these from another Amazon listing (there are several for these speakers) that included isolation pads and a breakout cable, one that didn't quite work. Figuring out which cable to get instead led me to find out about the easiest way for most people to hook these up. The speaker quick setup guide says, "Connect consumer equipment with unbalanced outputs to the 1/4" TRS input of the speaker using unbalanced signal cables." That techno-babble means to plug in your typical phone, computer or TV with a cable or cables using the 1/4" hole in the back of each speaker. The plugs for those look like the standard little 1/8" headphone plugs but bigger. If your device has a 1/8" headphone jack, you can use a breakout or "Y" cable that will go from that jack and split out to two 1/4" plugs that go into the speakers. The most important thing not stated in most Y cable descriptions is whether they will split wide enough to go to where your speakers are. A lot of the breakout cables can only be split back a foot or so, so not enough to reach speakers that are several feet apart. Some of the Amazon product pages have a question answered about this, but some don't. You can tell from the pictures: the ones that will split several feet apart have two round cables joined together like a figure 8 all the way back to the 1/8" plug. The part where they join in the middle can be pulled apart from the split end. Search for 3.5mm TRS to dual 1/4-inch TS breakout cable to see your options for length and whatever else. Here's the most popular one at Amazon that shows what they look like: Hosa CMP-159 3.5 mm TRS to Dual 1/4" TS Stereo Breakout Cable, 9 Feet. 9 feet split apart will reach up to nearly 18 feet apart, a lot more than some will need. I got a 5-foot one from Monoprice because it was more the length I need and on sale, but there are lots of good choices at Amazon and elsewhere. Keep in mind that this cable won't be carrying high current because the speakers are powered, so the wire gauge doesn't have to be thick. 24-gauge is typical. Again, this type of cable only works if you have a standard 1/8" headphone jack on your device. (There are lots of other ways to hook up for other setups.) As for the speakers themselves, I got the 5", and they're great, probably the best you can get for the price and size. They sound remarkably transparent for being only a couple feet from my ears, and they can be ferocious--in a good way--when they need to be, as with Dire Straits' "Money for Nothing," which sounds like it's coming from something a lot bigger. Not that these are for large spaces, but they fill small ones very well. The sound seems to be as good as the source material, though maybe a little restrained at the very top. The main issue for some will be the bass, if you don't plan to use a subwoofer. These are a big step up from my TV speakers that way, though. I don't have room for a sub, or larger speakers, which is why I got these. I find the bass punchy, clean and satisfying, lacking only the rumble you can feel in your stomach with a sub. If anything, these sound a little bass-heavy to me compared to my Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro headphones that I use for a reference (with their neutral ear pads), and vocals sometimes sound a little more recessed than usual. That's probably due to the speaker placement in a nook with reflective surfaces on three sides to reflect the bass from the rear ports. There are EQ switches on the back to adjust for that, but I haven't tried them yet, since I'll be placing the speakers differently soon. Meanwhile, ZZ Top's "I Thank You" sounds better than ever low down. There is a little hiss whenever they're on, but I can't hear it unless I put my ear up to the tweeter. Choice of cable can affect the amount of hiss. Foam or other isolation pads are a good idea for these, by the way. It will keep them from rattling pencils or whatever on your desk, and they'll sound better.

Great value!
My order arrive promptly and in excellent condition. I didn’t think it was possible to get this level of clarity and accuracy for such a low price. Beats everything else at this price point by a country mile!

Amazing!!!
I love these monitors. They sound amazing especially for the price. When I first set them up there was some crackling but that was easily fixed with changing some settings in my PC and wasn't s problem with the monitors. I would highly recommend
