Don’t have to take grill off. Easy install. 20 min

These were delivered very rapidly and were simple to put on. Many people are saying you have to take the grill off to attach but I didn’t. I have big hands too. Took about 20 minutes to do. The video above is helpful to just get a grasp on install. Once again, try it without taking off the grill.

You will need to replace rubber stopper from old latches

Took me about 35-45 minutes to install. I was adjusting the brackets to try and figure out why the hood was resting on the fender. What the instructions dont tell you is that to stop this you need to swap the rubber stopper (see pics for piece) from the old latches to the new ones. Be careful when removing as I tore one of them. Aside from the minor delay on the install i love the latches. Seem pretty well made and definitely stronger than stock latches.

What a difference these hood latches make! This is one of the better Jeep JK upgrades out there. Get rid of those old, faded factory latches that barely work for these beautiful heavy duty one's that hold your hood tightly in place. Gets rid of that annoying hood rattle. And the best part, there was no alterations including hole enlargements necessary for them to fit. I would highly recommend these hood latches!

Perfect fit with no drilling. Use the OEM nuts. They’re better than the supplied nuts.

The install for these hood latches would have been much easier if there had been instructions included. There were none. The buyer/installer is left to figure out where everything goes. Luckily, I was an aircraft mechanic in the military, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I deducted 1 star for the instructions missing. Other than that, this product is top notch. The silver finish matches my Rubicon emblem exactly like I hoped it would. The latches are VERY stiff to latch/unlatch at first because the nylon locking clip has a jump that has to be overcome to lock the latch in place. Pushing VERY hard allows the latch handle to click into place. There will be no hood flutter with these bad boys at all. They are much bigger and beefier looking than the OEM latches. UPDATE: I got home from work after installing these latches, and lo and behold, I found the instructions lying on my kitchen counter. Somehow, they had fallen out of the package when I opened it and I didn't notice. So my apologies to the company for the false accusation that they didn't send the instructions. I upgraded my review to 5 stars as a result.

Say goodbye to hood flutter

Great product. By far one of the best add on products I have added to my Jeep. Instructions are great. Took about 30 minutes to install.

No more hood flutter. Adjust as needed and make them as tight as you want. These are solid metal, look great and give your Jeep a real rugged look. Pretty easy install, hood is simple enough, behind the headlights I suggest using an extender to reach bolts instead of removing headlights and grill. No complaints here and i highly recommend.

Heavy Duty Latches

5.22.2019 - Overall these hood latches are great! The solid metal construction really clamps the hood down. Comes will all the tools needed besides the socket set (you will need 10mm and 13mm). My only complaint is that the set does not come with any washers. The OEM nuts are similar to a flange nut that come with the washer attached to the nut to cover more surface area when bolting to the hood and side panels. Although the new set comes with locking nylon nuts (which is awesome), they do not come with washers which worries me that they may rip through the body/hood panels.

Durable and no more hood flutter

Great durable product and way better than the original. The only downfall is the fact that it is missing a nice little insulater for in between the hood and fender but not really a big deal in my opinion

Love them so so much...

When I ordered these they came very quickly they were packaged extremely well. Instructions were very simple. I already had the grill off because I was putting a new grill insert in so insulation was even easier than I expected. All in all it probably took me less than a half an hour to install them by myself. The after look is amazing and I've gotten quite a bit of compliments on it from all of my Jeep buddies in our club.

Great product

This is a great product, waaay better than the stock latches. Definitely stops the hood flatter. Installation isn’t too difficult. The first few snaps will be hard, I even thought I had them installed wrong. You just need to close them with force, which means it’s really secure!
