A must for Honda B-series engines

This tool is essential for torqueing the crankshaft pulley bolt after removing for timing belt and water pump service on older Honda models. If an impact is not available, then this tool will help to hold the crank pulley while breaking the bolt. These Honda crank pulley bolts can be seized in place and have a reputation for being extremely challenging to remove with normal hand tools. I had air tool;s and still had difficulty getting it removed on a 97 CRV.

good sturdy tool

Retired mechanic. First non motorcycle Honda I have worked on. Took Honda years to hit on the good Goldwing bike. How long before they will improve their van? 180 foot pound torque on the crankshaft bolt and the vibration dampner falls apart that is why this tool is needed. Will never work on another Honda van again. Do not know why people drive them. The tool is good, just should not be necessary.

Fits a little loose, BUT they all do. No matter which manufacturer you buy this from, they will all have a little play in them. It worked as advertised. Great price. It's a must have if you work on Hondas alot.

It worked with 2011 CRV original Harmonic Balancer

But it didn't work with the Dorman replacement Harmonic Balancer. It was just a little too big and I had to grind it down to fit.

Makes the job a snap

Made a very difficult job extremely easy to accomplish. Without an air gun to remove the pulley bolt, this is the most efficient and least damaging to you and the car!

does the job.. rugged

Heavy duty, rugged, etc. Did exactly what needed to be done to hold the crankshaft pulley from turning. A little trickier to position with a breaker bar than some other tools but this was cheap and worked fine.
