I work in a building where you need badge access and the GOVO wallet has simplified what I carry everyday. Instead of having a badge holder and a wallet I can just carry this to work. I keep it in my pocket and if someone needs to see the ID the clear front makes it easy to identify myself. The wallet itself is very well built and well designed. Cards slip in easily, the pocket clip works great and cards are easy to take out as well. If I could change one thing I would make the card capacity a little higher, my ID card is pretty thick and actually takes up the space of 2 cards. So I end up carrying just my ID, drivers license and credit card. If I could squeeze in my ATM card and health insurance card this would be perfect. I understand it is minimal but a little bit more room would be a nice option as well. If you need to carry a badge everyday and can get by with just a few cards this device really simplifies your life. It could make a few tweaks to be perfect but it's pretty damn great as is.

GOVO Badge Holder/Wallet - Ultra Durable ID Card Holder with Metal Clip and 4 Cards Slot (Holds 1-4 Cards) BlackI ordered this Govo badge holder because I was tired of replacing the plastic sleeves my company provides to hold our ids. I thought it would be a little sturdier than the sleeves and hold up to the regular day-to-day abuse to which I subject my badge. I was right. I can put it m pocket with worrying about it bending and damaging my card. I can hang it form a lanyard, put it in my pocket, or clip to my clothing using the attached metal clip. It’s light weight and versatile. It doesn’t interfere with RIF signal, so I can get in my office without a hitch. It’s out performed my expectation on every level. It holds up to 4 cards, so you can do what I did this weekend and use it as a wallet. I put my id on top and my credit cards behind it. Showing my id was simple and convenient. I didn’t have to fumble through my wallet to get my id out. I simply pulled out the badge holder showed it to whomever needed to see it and I was on my way. A few people even complimented me on my “wallet” and asked where I can get it. I used the clip to hold my cash, so I wasn’t dependent on credit cards. It’s the best minimalist wallet I’ve ever used. So, do I recommend this badge holder? Yes, I do! It’s very cool and servers two purposes, it’s a badge holder during the week and minimalist wallet on the weekends. Buying this badge holder was some of the best money I’ve spent in a long time.

The new standard and one which won’t be beat. This is the most durable, overengineered and successful badge holder I have ever seen. The cards are held securely, yet are removed with ease. I have a GOVO RFID card for extra security. I have received many compliments and questions as to specifics when I am working. The most common comments are about not realizing how much they now need a better badge holder. I have sent them to GOVO over and over. The clip has not moved not become loose with use. I am able to use it without removing my badge for security. Obviously this is well thought out and executed. Once you have this in your hand, you will be impressed. I also purchased the heavy duty lanyard which I will also review on its own page. Similarl to the badge holder, extra heavy duty without being weighty. in the past I’ve tried approximately half a dozen types of badge holders. They have not held up well, especially the spring loaded lanyards. After maybe a year they become worn or beat up. All of them have felt flimsy. I do not think I’ll ever need another holder in my lifetime. This is a one time purchase. Put it in your will.

I bought this to hold the multiple badges I need to carry for access to different locations. I just move the needed one to the top. It is also easy to add a visitors badge to the top when you are not on your home turf. The durability appealed to me as a way to replace all the floppy and broken card carriers I have. The spring is just enough to hold the cards securely while allowing them to be easily removed when needed.

The Govo badge holder was the next step up from my last secure badge holder. I really like the fact the attachments are metal, makes me feel more secure especially if I lose my work badge, they will charge me $150 to get a new one. My badge is secure, doesnt move around at all with only two badges in; and I tried it with three, and it is just as snug, but still able to move them out for closer inspection. The only thing I had trouble with is my second work badge is almost too wide to fit, but other than that, this is the Perfect Badge holder.

This ID holder is almost perfect! I can now carry my other work ID's and my company card together, which keeps me from misplacing them. It is super light and very thoughtfully designed. My only 2 complaints: 1. The metal tab to attach to a lanyard needs to be wider to accept standard size snap attachments. 2. The steep $25 price. [Should include a lanyard]. Product is still deserving of 5 stars, thanks for creating such a great product. Hopefully GOVO will design a wallet based partially on this...

I have gone through a few badge holders over the years. Quite a few, actually. They generally succumb to the wear and tear of a busy teacher's life - some quicker than others. More often, the cards slide out - usually, it's the RFID access card. IT just LOVES canceling my old card and issuing new ones. This holder does the trick. A solid metal attachment point for a lanyard extends down to an unobtrusive belt or lapel clip. A lot of holders have plastic loops for lanyards - they break pretty easy. Trust me. This one won't break. The holder body is a heavy-duty molded plastic that looks like it will stand the test of time. There is a very strong clip inside the holder that really holds your cards secure. I literally spent five minutes trying every possible trick I could conceive to get a card to slide loose. No dice - they stayed in place. There are cut-outs on the backside that give access to slide a card up if you need to remove one. I just carry my ID and RFID security card so there is no need to remove anything. This product sells for $21 and some folk might balk at the price - after all, there are a bunch of holders that sell for less than half the price. Yeah, there are - I've bought a few of them. They all failed. This is a well-constructed, well-designed holder that should last me through the home stretch - I have 9 more years in the classroom and I am hoping that this will see me to the finish line.

I'm an IT pro, and I frequently destroy those clear plastic badge holders with the small tabs to keep the cards in because I'm under desks, moving PC's, etc. a lot of the time. They just don't handle being hung by their intended holes, and they break or wear down quickly. I nearly lost my badge once because of that. I bought this GOVO badge holder and PROBLEM SOLVED. I keep mine on a retractable key chain clip, as this case weighs a significant amount, and the tiny badge retractors just don't work. You know it's there! This allows me to quickly pull my badge from my side and gain access to doors without worrying about having to slip it into my belt every time I'm finished with it. Definitely worth the money. The case comes with a branded card to show you what a card looks like behind the polycarbonate face of the case. To keep the information on the back of my personal card from being seen, I left that card in as well, which gives the back of the case a handsome black on black look.

The good: This is the only minimalist-styled card holder I find that has a rigid clear top to show my badge/driver's license. It's very solid yet slim and sized to conceal in pocket. Material appears to be of a higher-grade polycarbonate (plastic) that is nearly overkilled for the purpose of protecting 4 cards. My old 'big skinny' wallet stores 16 cards and some cash therefore I couldn't really streamline all the cards into this, what I did was to take my badge, my driver's license, 1 discover card and 1 chase card that I use the most, slide them into this and leave my wallet in the car so that I still have access to the cards in some rare cases. My pants thank me for not walking around with a bulged pocket. The 4 cards slide in and out easily thanks for the notches on top/bottom. The bad: I do not recommend using the pocket clip on your pocket though - I wish it come with a deep-carried wired clip like some of the Spyderco knives. I use it as a money clip as it sticks out so much; I have to tri-fold the bills to fit though(see pictures). Other than that, the overall weight is on the high side of my likings, shaving off 1/16" on both sides may reduce half an oz. The ugly: I thought about moving the clip comments here but it really isn't too bad since it works as a money clip and I carry it loose in my pocket. Overall this is a solid product that doesn't cost a ridiculously amount of $ like some of the other minimalist gears.
