I have tried 3-4 different types of grips and didn't like the comfort or couldn't hang on (too slippery). My hands are very sensitive and I had been using no protection on my hands during WODs. I used to have to skip WODs or modify to accommodate the tenderness on my hands after a "rig" heavy WOD. No more!! I recommend the WOD Nation grips to everyone now (few members at my gym have ordered them and are loving them too)! They come already soften not like most other very stiff grips (that you have to soften with use) and the color option is very nice! Perfect for pull ups, C2B and T2B. I cannot vouch for MU since I am not efficient at them and really haven't tried them with the grips on and I have not done enough Bar MU with the grips to have an opinion on them yet. I prefer to wear them over wrist wrap I find that they move less and are more comfortable.

I've been doing crossfit for about four months now. I questioned myself up and down about whether I was the type of guy who "needed" leather grips. I wanted to prove to myself that I was man enough to do my WODs without them. Well, after tearing my hands open every other week, I decided to give them a second look. It wasn't about getting chalk in my open wounds or having to endure a little bit of pain to get through my workout. It was about having no grip to stay on the bar to finish my T2B and wipers. Armed with my new tools; today for the first time, I didn't lose grip through 4 consecutive sets of 3 K2E, T2B and C2B. Which is a big deal for me. A small victory of many to come for me. And a customer for life for WOD Nation. THANK YOU!

I have used a lot of grips trying to find the best ones for crossfit. My issue isn't so much ripping (which every now and then I will still) but more so that it just hurts my hands to hold onto the bar, they feel so tender. Finally I learned how to use grips correctly, they shouldn't fit tight to your palm but rather have a little slack so when you grip the bar the actual grip will fold over itself on the top. YOU WILL KNOW IF YOU DID THIS RIGHT. It feels like the grips are holding you up all on your own. And the tender part of my palm is protected by a doubled over layer. I love these. The wrist wrap is soft so it wont dig into your wrists. I still wear my wrist wraps under them though just out of habit. They break in super fast. The come in colors that aren't so present in the gym, so that is very cool to have red grips instead of white or black in crossfit. The only thing I can critic about it, the wrist wrap can't get tight enough around my wrist. It gets pretty tight, but I wish I could get it a little tighter (when I have my wrist wraps underneath it is a perfect fit though). I got so many people from my gym hooked on these. Especially for the price there is no reason not to give these a try! And if you hate them, its Amazon! Return them, you have nothing to lose :)

Okay, so, I have been doing CrossFit for about two and a half years now. I'm not any particularly good at it, but I love it, and I specially love doing gymnastics: bar muscle-ups, ring muscle-ups, butterfly pull-ups, chest-2-bar, toes-2-bar, groin-2-bar, etc. I am, also, a very manly man .And yet, the my palm's skin is softer than milk skin: 1 rep... 2 rep... 3 rep... blood. I've tried everything. I've spent, quite literally, hundred of dollars in protection for my hands, and nothing has left me satisfied. I've made some dumb purchases (Mad Grip F50 Pro Palm Gloves, Black, Large/X-Large), I've made more smarter purchases (Gym Glove Alternative | ProGrips Leather Weight Lifting Grips| Black) but they've all come with compromises: gloves are uncomfortable, and they render the grip too thick, making you loose grip strength. The ProGrips, which where the protection I settled for, chafe easily, and they soon loose their shape with sweat and use. I've even use grips akin to WOD Nation's, but they've also felt uncomfortable. Either they are too hard, or they don't mold well to the bar or ring, or there was some other thing that always bothered me. My friends tell me I'm capricious. I tend to agree. So, mid-WOD, I always end up abandoning my protection, finishing the WOD in great time, but with a bloodbath of blisters and scars (forbidding me to train the next day, or worse). So I gave these a chance, and... THEY. ARE. PERFECT. Well, not really, but I wouldn't knock a star for one caveat I will explain soon. The WOD Nation grips feel good. They are made of soft, thin leather, which means the grips cling and mold nicely to any surface—be it bar or ring—without compromising grip strength. The grips cover a great expanse of the hand, which means that, even if they inadvertently slide as you do your reps, they'll still manage to protect the active part of your palm quite well. The Velcro fastener is welcome: the grips will remain fastened for the entire duration of the workout. And yet, they are easy to equip and unequip without touching the Velcro fastener: the leather strip is long enough so that you can pull your fingers out if your next movement is not a gymnastic movement (a switch to HSPU, for example). This is crucial to me, as I don't want to fray the grips with movements for which I don't need protection (I live in Ecuador, and the only way I can get these grips is when a family or friend travels to the states, which means I have to take care of them). I usually limited my Gymnastic session to once a week, since I had to let my palms rest and recover. Now, I've done two sessions in three days, and my palms are mint. Rich Froning will soon bite my dust. I know it. The one caveat I find is that the bit of leather separating the finger holes feels too thin and feeble to me. I am crossing my fingers and praying they hold for over a year. If they do, then I'll let the 5-stars untouched. If, on the other hand, they fray undone before a year, I will have to knock down a star. It all depends how much they last really, and you can't know ½ stars. Cheers. Buy them.

A very well made product. Five stars for quality and price.

Great fit, great hand protection! Love them!

My husband and I use these for crossfit. I have small hands and was afraid these would interfere with my grip, but that is not the case. Really helpful in pull ups or any handling of a bar at all. So far my hands are protected- no rips! Only thing is the color is a bit off from what they show. The red is actually a maroon color and much prettier than what is showed. My husband ended up with those while I got the blue- wish I had gotten the red!

Great quality so far I have used it for a 2 months and gloves still good, they only down side is that where you tie up the zip has a plastic thing so if you tie it up really tie you’re not gonna be able to bend you hand all they wade, so I tie it a bit loose so it would be on the side of my wrist and won’t bother me at all

I never touch a bar without these anymore. They've saved my hands and I love them!
