Great Playability and Nice Sounding Tone at an Amazing Value

After returning another brand of guitar (which shall remain nameless) costing three times as much but which came to me with faulty construction, I decided to cross my fingers and go with Fender's FA-100 entry-level model, and am I glad that I did! Maybe I lucked-out, but this Fender has great playability, very satisfying tone, was assembled properly, and is nicely finished. Bear in mind, before purchasing online I'd played a little of everything at my local guitar store, lots of brands and models ranging from $129 to $3,999. I'd discovered that the expensive solid wood models have the most resonant and well-balanced tones but I'd also came across a couple of inexpensive foolers like this Fender that sounded great. Good experience with the seller, too - everything was delivered on time and in perfect condition.

Great starter guitar

This is my second try at learning to play the guitar (2 months in and still strumming along, thank-you-very-much) and this guitar is beautifully sounding so far. I am having a slight buzzing problem with the bottom E string but I suppose it is to be blamed on me since I am a complete and utter beginner. It is a Fender guitar so quality is not a problem for sure. The package is well worth the price you pay for it, the carrying case is very sturdy and the guitar stand does the job. In addition to the dvd that is included with the bundle, I purchased another instructional DVD by Fender (Getting Started on Acoustic guitar with Keith Wyatt) and I am loving it. I would definitely recommend this product as it is well worth the money you pay for it.

Not just for Beginners...Good solid guitar.

Been playing for over 30 years. I own many guitars at several high price points. I will say this is a very solid guitar with good medium tones and good solid bass notes. I bought this set for my son last xMas. I see so many reviews about quality, and this is one good quality guitar. I'm now buying me the FA-100 Fender version of this.

Wicked Awesome!

Lovin' this bundle! The stand that I received is way better than pictured. The guitar is perfect for me. It took a while to get comfortable with cuz my "curves" are in the way. Adjusting posture fixed that though. I Am an absolute beginner and am having a great time learning. I Ordered the natural finish and this guitar is gorgeous. One poster complained it won't stay tuned - well they need to be tuned often as the strings do stretch. The included tuner works perfectly. Unfortunately the case has a defective latch but I will not return the bundle because I received a great guitar with a beautiful "voice". The frets are not too high as others complained about. There is absolutely zero buzzing! All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and definately recommend it.

Beautiful instrument

I love this guitar! I'm no guitar expert by any means, more like beginner, but for what I know it's great! It stays in tune fairly well, (after the initial tuning) it just needs a few slight adjustments before each time you play, like most any string instrument; but it comes with a tuner that is super easy to use. It also comes with a bunch of picks (which I haven't actually used), a stand, a shoulder strap, a hard case, and mine came with a soft case as well (though I don't think it was supposed to). As I said, I'm no guitar expert, but I very much enjoy playing this instrument. :)

AWESOME Starter Guitar!

My first guitar purchase made easy! I absolutely love the sound of this guitar! I've compared it with several local music store offerings and this is right up there amongst their best starter guitars but for half the price! They simply cannot compete with this package price. Fender is an excellent and trustworthy name in guitars and this, in my opinion is their absolute best price point for a beginner! I'm very, very happy with this purchase! The colors and craftsmanship are simply magnificent! You will not go wrong with this purchase!

Good quality, Easy player

For the price this can't be beat! Awesome little guitar bundle. This thing is definitely a cheapy guitar, but it plays pretty nice and has a good full bodied sound (nice low end) When I first got it I sanded the neck down to get rid of the sticky finish and it plays a heck of a lot better now! I'd recommend this to a beginner or even someone who's played a few years and is just looking for a nice cheap practice rig. Sweet guitar!

Completely surprised by the quality

This guitar showed up in a great hardshell case. I was blown away by the case alone. Once I got the guitar out I found it to be much, much better than I expected. I have several very nice guitars and bought this one to tide me over while I had a neck reset done on my classic vintage Guild, not expecting anything but a temporary replacement. I am more than satisfied and even installed on-board preamp and bridge pickup to use it on stage, that is how good this unit is. (couldn't force myself to cut on the Guild) For the money, this is the best guitar you can buy

***** EDIT***** Seller resolved all issues and I am 100% happy with my purchase. Seller reached out, responded quickly in extensive detail, and promptly met all my needs. Will order from again. I have no problem with the seller. The item was shipped and delivered as listed and on time. It's the craftmanship of the guitar when it arrived. An unfinished sound hole (varnish doesn't cover entire lip all the way around, splotchy), the dots along the neck are only half there (as in half circle in the correct spots and the other half of the circle missing). Just details. But then again it's a very low end guitar... It's frustrating being a newby and you can literally look from the holding position and see these things. I'm OCD folks! ALSO when shipped something punctured the shipping box....along with the new guitar case, which now has a big gash in it. But hey, it did it's job and protected the guitar. I wish there were two ratings, one for seller and one for the actual product. Seller delivered as promised with all components included that were listed. The creator of the product didn't "finish" the detail and the shipping experience sucked because it damaged the case. While I could send it back, I found a guy last minute to give lessons and needed this right away. Since I have already paid him for these lessons, I will need to show up with something more than just a smile. SOOOOOO there's that. I know NOTHING about guitars but based on my earholes that I've used for a long time....it sounds great. Great as in I'm just getting started and it makes noise that sounds similar to what I'm asked to play.
