Stands up straight, seems well made. I really like the placement of the zipped opening so you can use it vertically or horizontally. Handles don’t quite reach each other but I just tied another piece on.

I raise butterflies and this is perfect. I lay it with the plastic viewing window as the floor (keeps my table clean) and the big zippered door makes it easy to add food and clean. It's big enough that I can put small pots of live host plants in and offers enough room for the caterpillars to spread out. It also cleans up easily and folds up flat for easy storage during the winter.

Used for Monarch catapillers

Really like these cages. Was nice that the zipper is on the side verses the top. Makes adding more catapillers and milk weed much easier without disturbing chrystalis that have already formed. Sorry for the misspelled works

Kinda like those darn spring loaded snakes in the nut canister

For a $10 butterfly keeper, it seems worth the money. CAUTION: Hold it away from you when you open it. It is packaged in a small, pressurized, spring loaded setup!! Kinda like those darn spring loaded snakes in the nut canister! I was looking at it closely when I removed the final plastic bag, because I thought it should be much larger, then WHAMM! It unfurled and smacked me hard in the face. Turns out, it IS much larger.... Anxious to find some Monarch eggs and give it a try, (now that I've finished cussing it....)

Works wonderful!

I purchased two of these. One for my daughter and one for myself. They arrived in excellent condition and both zippers work just fine. It's so light and easy to clean. This is our first year raising Monarchs and it's a awesome experience. I'm quite sure I'll be ordering more of these in the future. We've been using the plastic side for the floor and it's been working well for us.

Perfect butterfly habitat for Monarchs

I raised several Monarchs in this habitat. Its pretty big and easily handle up to 15 caterpillars and chrysalises. Since it opens from the side you don't disturb the caterpillars and chrysalises while cleaning or replenishing leaves. Now the monarch season is over. I have them washed with bleach and stored. Will use it again next year.

The Price Was Right

I'm raising several types of caterpillars and need them well enclosed. I have different brands of zipper enclosures, but I like the white netting as well as the see through window. The zipper seems strong enough for now, and I certainly hope to get a few years' usage out of these. For the size, these were the least expensive I have owned.

Fantastic and a great price! Plenty of room for multiple caterpillars. There is one side that is clear plastic which I use for the bottom so when I clean it daily it's easy to clean and their waste doesn't leak through.

Large enough for a lot of caterpillars; a great deal!

I had to laugh when I read the review describing the cage as a spring snake in a peanut can! When I opened the package I was annoyed that the cage seemed so small until I undid the elastic; then it sprung open to about ten times its size. I love that the zipper is on the side. Monarch caterpillars climb to the top of the cage to make their chrysalis so it is nice to have the opening on the side to keep them from being disturbed when you are housecleaning. This is a great bargain for the money,

Works great for toxic plants and moths

This thing is LARGE. I have a new jasmine plant I needed to bring in for winter but completely enclosed in something to keep the toddler and dog safe. My plant fit great inside and when I found a caterpillar on my rosemary I was able to put it inside the tent and watch it grow. It’s held up well for over 2 months and we’ve hatched several moths inside (not on purpose they just kept cocooning on my rosemary). Highly recommend if you need something that’s well made and works for multiple things.
