I bought this kilt for my red-bearded, Scot of a man when nostalgia got the best of him. He has a great physique and legs and I wanted to make sure he had something modern, of great quality and style, to show of that hot bod! I don't particularly care for men in skirts being a Black chick from the hood. BUT! this kilt is perfectly masculine. Very sexy for the well-toned body of any type and age. I'll take it over men's skinny-jeans any day! It arrived in about 2 days. I'm more than impressed with this company. I can't say enough about the high quality of this item. Check out their website! *Please find boots to wear with them though. Flip-flops don't work. :)

All though it was to small, it was well made and looked as good as it did in the photos. I had no problem returning it so far, got labels and droped it of at the UPS store this date. I plan on ordering another in the near future. I have a 38 waist and ordered a 38 size. I read after I ordered about ordering a size bigger, the posts seemed to all agree if you ar a 36, you get a 38 and if your a 38 you get a 40 so on. I look forward to getting a proper fitting one. Im up and down at the moment so wait til I stabalize. I keep you posted. Even though it didnt fit I was able to hold it and inspect it. I was gonna wear it today. Had to go shorts. If you have never wore a kilt before let me tell ya its comfotable. I plan on getting several for everday use. I got my first one a few weeks ago size 38, it was tight but fit and lossend a bit to a good comfort level. I wore it to work and everone loved it even the my bosses bosees boss, That was a 30$ one and I can tell the difference in quality. Should be being its a utility. If you get the right size you wont regret it.

For those who have never worn a kilt before then ordering your first one can be confusing. DO NOT GO BY JEAN/TROUSER SIZE. Instead go by stomach size. The kilt is worn on the the stomach and not the waist. I have worn many kilts and this is a nice medium to lightweight kilt. Stitching is very nice with no puls or threads hanging loose. The pleats are well made. I would recommend this cargo kilt over some of the others that I own or have tried on. It's comfortable and the snaps make it easy to put on and take off. Wear a kilt and own the kilt and the space you live in. Yes you may get stared at and you will asked the question are you wearing something underneath and that is all down to you but it's a very liberating feeling walking around commando. The other question that often I get asked is what footwear can I wear with it. Well anything goes. I wear mine with every thing from flip flops to Dan Post cowboy boots.

I bought this as a gift from my son's Amazon wish list. I came to my house so I was able to inspect it thoroughly before gifting it. I am a fussy, perfectionist seamstress. If I am going to pay big bucks for something, it better be well made. I am trying to come up with masculine words for the quality of this kilt. Splendid. Beefy. Firm. Stiff. (Snort!) ... Well the fabric IS stiff; it is heavy, densely woven, and tightly, sturdily stitched. The buckles are flat black, solid metal, and well attached. The seams are well finished. There were no loose threads or untidy stitches. Whoever constructs these does a top notch job. The attention to style detail, top stitching, reinforcement, and fabric quality make this kilt worth every penny. I know some brands are more expensive, and perhaps these are less expensive because the maker is trying to establish a reputation. We cannot afford to pay designer prices. These are top rate quality. I think we should buy the other color on our son's wishlist before these catch on and are no longer affordable. Oh btw, our son lost weight and didn't update the size on his wishlist. This guy has great customer service. The return was easy, although we had to pay postage twice, that was buyer error. Turn around was very fast and our son loves the kilt. He said "I wore it for pack down yesterday ... And I'm wearing it now. ...I have been wearing it pretty much constantly (since he got it)." I asked him if the fabric (which is very stiff new) has relaxed with wear. He responded "It's softer than it was. It falls back better, hoping it continues to soften each time I wash it."

Same great kilts as they used to be. I have several of these. The others are from before there was an amazon store and he sold them on ebay. I have other kilts, too, including some that are national name brand, and the UT Kilts are my favorite. They're durable, fit well, heavy, and well sized. Falls just right from just below the navel to the knee. Make sure you measure your waist and order accordingly, though. DON'T USE PANT SIZE. Just a part a section of the Appalachian Trail in mine and loved every minute of it.

If you measure in the right place, your waist not your hips it will fit properly. Kilts are meant to be worn around your waste and not where you pants are worn and it is more comfortable. I have a number of kilts and this one is perfect for blacksmithing in the forge. I have not had it long but worn it a lot while working and snaps and belts all seem great so far.

I was expecting what I got, and I was surprised to find the waist snaps are adjustable! I ordered 40 and can adjust to wear without a belt. The little frilly pockets on the sides of the cargo pockets are testaments to the existence of men's fashion. In the first hour of wearing it, someone stopped me and said I'm cute! I recommend 10/10 for anyone who knows their waistline.

I ordered the black out. It is Much nicer than I expected. I followed the sizing guide and it fits perfectly. I don't need a belt but wear it because I like the buckle. Very high quality and you can tell it will last a long time. I have had it less than a month and have worn it 3 times already. My wife thinks I'm out of control.

Bought these for my fiance and his best man for our wedding. The wedding isn't until September, we figured the men would want to wear them and at this price if they ruin them, then hey..we'll just get a couple more. Ok, we joke about them being cavemen/viking/lumberjacks and they are. Except, we have found a blemish in their facade. The first heat wave this summer and all the ladies were in skirts and dresses, the men wore their kilts and discovered the magic of a breeze up the skirt/kilt. My fiance accidentally walked by the a/c floor vent and yep! You guessed it. I caught him "marilyn-ing" .Now, these men have worn these kilts and though they say dry clean, we've washed on delicate and hung them up to dry and they are still going strong. They take them off long enough for them to be cleaned then they go right back on again. These are some super sturdy kilts!. So far they have survived bonfires, ground leveling, a swimming pool installation, 3 new retaining walls and more laughter and good times than should be legal. No signs of weakness or wear. Each stitch is still perfect and each snap/button or strap is still fully in tact and holding strong. The sizing runs a bit large so keep that in mind, my finace measured at 48, we ordered the 50. His best man measured at 52, we ordered 50 because thats the largest size. The 50 fits our friend perfectly, my fiances is a bit large but shrank after the washing we weren't supposed to do. So follow the instructions and dry clean if you don't want it to shrink.

This is a tremendous product! It is sturdy and comfortable, and fit just as planned (READ THE MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS, kilts are worn ABOVE your hips). I did order a kilt belt and buckle after the fact, but that was really more for decoration. Mine will be getting its first dry-cleaning soon as black shows a lot of dust, but if you are wearing this in less formal situation, the minor dusties are barely noticeable. Mine says 100% Cotton, dry-clean only but the company replied quickly to an email with the answer that the kilt is actually cotton-poly and the tag is wrong. Will try washing it tonight... ***UPDATE*** Washed it on medium spin with two pairs of jeans for volume. Hung it over the shower door on top of a towel to dry. Dried quickly, looks good, no apparent shrinkage. I will definitely be getting another.
