Why Have I Not Bought These Before Now?????
I tend to BBQ often and would use other tools to open my lid or my fire wood. Ive used my pit so much i have wore out the wooden handles.:) I don't want another grill just yet because it is seasoned perfectly. I have been using my New Welding Gloves and I LOVE IT. Smoking meats has become so much easier now that I can move to logs with my hands. NOTE: You just can't pick up charcoal and burning logs and just hold it. You have about10 to 15 seconds before your hand starts to go hot. But, if you know what your doing that is more than enough time to get what your doing done. I will be buying another pair for my Mom who cooks as much as I do.

Perfect for wood burning stove
I got these primarily for adding wood to my wood burning stove, and they have been great for these past 2 weeks. No fraying of stitching or anything like that so far. They are very long and go quite a way up my arm, a few inches away from my elbow. They have been great against the heat. They are exactly what I wanted.

Good heat-resistant gloves, planning to use them for campfires.
Let me up front - I don't barbecue, living in an apartment. But as a camper and survival prepper, I'm always looking for unusual gear to help prepare for long-lasting emergencies or make my campouts a little more fun and easy. I bought these gloves so I'd have something to more safely build and adjust campfires with, rather than the "poke it with a stick and hope for the best" method. I wanted something that'll let me add wood to the fire or grab the non-burning ends of logs to quickly move them without singeing my fingers every time. I'm not looking for flame-proof, just "protect my hands for a couple seconds as I get near hot burny stuff". These gloves are pretty thick and solid, and seem like they'll last. The heat rating of 932 F should be good enough for the intended purpose. One thing I didn't like was the bad smell coming off them from, presumably, whatever chemicals were used in the manufacturing process. I wouldn't want these things touching anything else in my pack without an airtight plastic bag, which fortunately they provided - it has one of those sliding zip seals like on a freezer bag, and I'll probably wrap the whole thing in another grocery bag. Can't wait to take them camping!

Work great for barbecuing!
We use this gloves for barbecuing (haven't used them for welding). They fit better on my husband as he has larger hands. They measure about 15 inches in length and 5.5 inches in width (see the pictures I included). The material texture feels comparable to suede; however, on the hand part of the glove, the material is thicker...I can tell there is something in between the suede, which I'm assuming is the heat resistant material. They work well!

Let them sit out for a week before using.
Let them sit out for a week before using to ride them of the strong hide smell.... Using these in a DIY foundry setting and wow the protection and heat rejection of these are SO much better than anything else I have used. I won't light the foundry without them now. Be safe and yes, while I said they are good protection, there is no substitute for common sense and keeping the hands out of hot places as much as possible.

Just what we needed
I bought these gloves for protection handling a microwave kiln during glass-art work, which I and my 9-year old son are new to. The instructional materials we looked at stressed that we should wear heat-resistant gloves, ideally ones that covered a good portion of the arm. Since we are both new to this, handling something that gets up to glass-melting temperatures was pretty daunting, and I looked at a lot of alternative gloves and glove materials. The range of choices was confusing, as there are different materials and different uses for heat-resistant gloves, but I chose these on the basis of the specs and the customer reviews. I am totally happy with them. They provide complete protection. We are no longer intimidated by the glass fusing process. At one point (long story, not relevant) I did actually touch the glass for a moment shortly after taking the kiln out of the microwave (you're supposed to wait an hour or so). The glass was still soft and I heard a bit of a sizzle when I touched it with the glove but felt nothing at all, and if there is any residual mark on the glove it's hard to detect. I'm no expert on any of this, but the gloves meet my expectations and I'm very happy with them.

I order them to play with the dog as she is trained only to play like this when I am wearing gloves
Just got them yesterday. I order them to play with the dog as she is trained only to play like this when I am wearing gloves. She is a large puppy that it teething with very sharp teeth. I used a heavy duty winter glove and she tore right through it. I have only used these once for about 15 min last night with her. She loved them and they protected my hands from her teeth and the length protected my forearms from her nails. Time will tell how long they will hold up but they seem like they are well made. Great for playing with my puppy. As stated, I have not had long but from the look, feel and the one time playing with the dog, I would recommend them so far. If things change, I will update my review.

Protect Hands and Forearms Around Wood Stove
These gloves are fantastic! We use our wood stove nearly every day in the winter and it gets extremely hot. I have burned my arm and hand on the door several times when reloading wood. I purchased these gloves a recently and am amazed how perfect they are for my purposes. I literally put my hand in the flames to load more wood and have no problems. I wish I would have purchased them sooner. Top notch product and seller.
