Perfect Carton Cutter
I usually use a normal box cutter to cut my Amazon boxes and one day I damaged a content because I wipe through the box to deep. I regret it so much and now I am very careful about opening the box. This Slice 10585 Manual Carton Cutter provides me with that safety I need. It's perfect for cutting the tape seal on the box little possibility of harming the content. I recommend it!

Stay tuned to see if it stays sharp as long as it says
This blade is sharp enough to open packaging tape on boxes easily with much less risk of cutting yourself than with a razor blade. You do have to puncture the heavier tape with the point, whereas a razor blade cuts right through. So far so good.

Works Great, Nice Quality
This works great! In the past, I've always used a "regular" box cutter with a standard razor blade. That worked well enough, but this is even easier and seems like it will be very long-lasting. It's perfect for opening all your Amazon boxes. ;)

Extremely compact box cutter
Very slim metal jacketed ceramic blade box cutter. Pro: Lightweight, easy to carry. So slim, it barely takes up space in your kit. Con: must use blades from their company (what if they become unavailable.) The blade pulls into the steel casing, but can be pushed out rather easily. The blade looks rounded but believe me, ceramic blades can cut you good. The rounded blade doesn't pierce well. So starting a cut can be a bit difficult if not on an edge. Summary: works well, a bit easy to lose. I find my age-old metal box cutter heavier to carry, but probably more practical in the tool kit. For everyday carry in a purse or wallet, very good.

Compact and works well
This little cutter actually works very well. I use it to open my amazon boxes and to cut them up for recycling and they work as well as scissors or a knife. I had never used one of these little cutters before and when I opened it didn't really think it would work. Now I use it every day. Works really well and is small and safe.

Great simple knife for opening boxes
With the number of Amazon boxes that show up at my house every week, having a good box cutter is a necessity. I like the blade on this box cutter since it can't cut skin like a metal blade, yet easily cuts the packing tape on boxes. The blade slides back into a metal cover for safe keeping when not in use, and pops out with just a slight push. When the blade eventually becomes dull, all you need to do is pull the orange plastic part completely out of the metal sleve, open the door, flip the blade over, and put everything back together.

Sharp and Smooth.
The Slice 10585 box cutter fits comfortably in my hand. The polished case helps the cardboard edges glide smoothly past the cutter while you're slicing a box. The ceramic cutter is sharp enough to slice blister-packs with ease. Changing blades is a breeze. Just slide the bladeholder out of the case, flip it open, take out the old blade and insert a new model 10526 (which Amazon has in stock) Note that you can use each blade twice - they're reversible. So far as durability goes ... I don't know. Haven't had it long enough for it to wear out. But ceramic blades are supposed to hold an edge for a long time and I don't see why this one would be the exception. ------- I've noticed other reviews where it's said that this cutter isn't good for breaking up boxes. You probably want to go with a *pointed* blade for that. This has the model 10526 rounded-tip blade. The pointy blade is the model 10528 - which you can buy on Amazon.

Works great with sharp end blades
Works great if you purchase the sharp end blades. The blade that the box cutter is sold might not work that well on cardboard boxes, etc. So there is no need for negative reviews just purchase a sharp end blades and it will work great.

Wonderful and safe tool
Wow, I was skeptical about this little box opener, but it works very well! As a big Amazon household, we have a constant supply of cardboard boxes that need to be opened and then broken down for recycling. Generally, my husband and I use razor-sharp box openers for this task, but we are always worried that our young children will find these openers and injure themselves. I feel much better about having this little tool on hand. It doesn’t have a very sharp edge, so it won’t easily slice open hands, but it gets the job done.

LOVE
I open a lot of boxes. I open a lot of amazon boxes. I open a lot of packages. This is a safe way to open those boxes. This does not have a sharp razor blade but is extremely effective in open the dozens of packages that I recieve in a week. This is a must have.
