Great tool! Recently adopted a 12 yo tabby picked up on the streets of Baltimore by kill shelter and saved at last minute by the wonderful Chesapeake Cats and Dogs rescue organization. He’s THE most loving cat ever, literally gives hugs with both paws around your neck, but has some neurological issues from the deprivation. This toy (tool) has given him new purpose! He waits in a particular spot in the bedroom and looks at me expectedly when he’s ready to play. The laser is bright red and the perfect toy to help my boy get the exercise he needs. Seems to be helping his agility and balance too! Also the black light is useful. Unfortunately, too useful as it has shown me that the $500 I just paid to have carpets professionally cleaned was waste of money. 🙄

If this toy were to break tomorrow, I still think I would have gotten my money's worth. One cat was racing around the living room trying to murder the laser dot while the other was swatting the bejesus out of the bonus squeaky mouse. I may never stop grinning. The flashlight is bright. The UV light is dim, but who cares, the cats don't chase UV light.

My two cats love a laser pointer to chase but I get frustrated trying to find a store that sells them or the tiny batteries. Most of these pointers don't last long and i have drawers of old ones that have dead batteries. This brand of pointer is a total surprise! It is rechargeable and has the more common AA battery instead of those easy to drop and loose tiny ones. The pointer is larger which makes it harder to misplace and the dot is a bit larger and brighter. The mouse enclosed is also a "favorite" with my cats. I haven't used the other features yet and don't know how long the battery lasts between charges but I always AA batteries around the house. A must have toy for cat owners!

This is how my cat looks after playing with the light. Picture is sometimes worth a thousand words

I never thought I’d care much about laser pointers, much less rate the quality or review one, but this one is far superior to its $3 Walmart counterpart that we originally got for our new rescue kitty. I looked at laser pointers on Amazon first, and realizing they were ~$10 each on here, figured I’d “save” money buying one in person. Yes, it was cheaper, but with a few caviats- 1) Most laser pointers run on batteries, small watch-type batteries that are probably more expensive than the laser pointer. This one is rechargeable with USB, and comes with a cable if you need it 2) Most laser pointers require you to hold down the button while you’re using it. Sounds ok in theory, but after playing for a few min, your fingee gets tired. This one clicks on with a sliding button. 3) Brightness- the one we originally got started to go between sort of bright and very faded. I thought maybe it needs batteries, but it is still working so it may just be the quality. This one is very bright, but still in the range that is considered safe for animals. 4) Squeaky mouse. I wasn’t very impressed by a flimsy rubbery mouse, but my kitty enjoyed the bonus.. until she lost it under the furniture somewhere. All in all, great value and well worth the extra $$ up front!!

I had another cheapo cat pointer thing like this, but it used those tiny watch batteries, and it was a pain to change the batteries. Plus the thing was really cheap anyway, so I trashed it. I was looking for a new device like this, and was hoping I'd find one that did not need batteries. (I hate wasteful batteries, and then having to throw them into the garbage/landfill) So I was thrilled to have found this one, which charges with a simple USB. Well.... I opened this up from the package, plugged it into my computer, and after just a few minutes tried it. It was already working, and the red light was WAY stronger than the device I used to have. My cat went nuts. I swear, this toy is more fun for me than my cat. Hopefully this item will hold up for a while. At the very least, the overall appearance of the device looks way more quality than the tiny red cat pointer that I used to have.

My cats need L.A., as in lasers anonymous. My 2 rambunctious boys literally stalk me for this thing, as you can see in the picture. The laser is kept on a side table and they get up there and bat stuff around to bully me into playing with them!

My cat really enjoys the laser pointer, and I like the fact that I can recharge it via USB... I had a cheap laser pointer and it wore out... I really use this a great deal. My cat likes to rip the paper when I am printing, so whenever I print, I distract him with the red dot to chase. He is so used to this, now when he hears the printer start up, he jumps down and starts looking for the red dot. This pointer has a nice large red dot, very intense, and I am looking forward to using this or a long time. The "screaming mouse" was a tiny squeaky mouse that does not interest my cat at all. It is annoying when I step on it and it squeaks. However, it was a bonus; I was entirely focused on purchasing a good laser pointer.

My cat LOVES the laser pen. We've tried others but they were weak and she got bored very quickly. After one night she's started meowing for more play with the pen. As for the little mouse that came with...she's already lost it somewhere in the apartment in her consistent playing and squeaking. She loves it.
