Great for an unfortunate situation!

Daughter fractured her foot about a week ago, and after her cast was applied (kneecap to toes) the first thing I did was order one of these things. Nobody wants a sometimes stinky pre pubescent 12 year old athlete/dancer running around needing help taking a dang shower...! I was worried it was going to be too big, but it was just fine! Cast is dry after each shower, she needs a little help getting it on just right, which is fine by me because I would much rather know that it's on correctly. Looks like this will last a while, and I saved the box so hopefully it works again next time I need a cast cover for another child with a broken limb. Definitely recommend!

Keeps your cast dry

I started using this about 3 weeks ago when I got my cast on my ankle - it will not fit over a walking boot but is perfect over a cast. My cast goes to just below the knee and the cover has worked perfectly every day when I shower - I have been paranoid about getting the cast wet, the Doctor told me water would ruin the cast and it would have to be replaced - Great relief to be able to showers and not worry about the cast. I highly recommend it.

Review of Wilsco Cast Cover

The "Cast Cover" is actually referred to as a "Dry Sock" in Medical School. The Dry Sock is absolutely incredible; it is a very simple product that works with 100% dependability. I purchased the Dry Sock for a 86 year old parent who had a skin graph as part of correcting a wound to the ankle and lower leg. She is able to put the device on and off by herself and the bandage(s) remain dry and unobstructed. The Cast Cover / Dry Sock is well constructed with heavy gauge yet flexible material. I highly recommend this product.

Foot is 100% dry with each use.

I have had 5 foot surgeries now. I have tried other brands of waterproof cast cover. Water was always, somehow, getting inside the cast cover and getting my bandages wet. This go around, I thought I would try another brand. The Wilsco waterproof cast cover ROCKS!!! I have showered daily and no water leaking. I even gave my 2 golden retriever's haircuts and shampooing and the cast cover was perfect. The plastic is sturdy so I can imagine that I can put it away and use it another time. The full leg cover could work for a man or a women. I am 5'6 and wear 32" length pants and it has plenty of extra length. It's much easier to put on then the last brand I bought. You could even use it for an arm cast. I highly recommend this product.

Works as advertised...

I love it when products function just as they are supposed to. My wife broke her ankle and basically immobile. We purchased one of these so that she would at least be able to shower and even though she is very small (5'1", 100lbs), this cover kept her cast perfectly dry. If you have ever worn a cast that got wet, then you know what a relief it is to be able to shower and not without having this problem to worry about. Seems as if this product is durable enough to last way past her anticipated healing time.

GOT CAST - GOT TO HAVE THIS

I wish I had looked on Amazon when I first got my cast. This would have changed everything for me. Easy to put on and take off. NO water gets in. Doesn't matter how long I stay in the shower. Thank you. I even posted it on facebook not as an endorsement but about how well it worked for me.

Keeps the leg and foot dry

Just took my first shower post foot surgery. Easy to put on and kept my foot and all bandaging dry. Very thick and well made. I was careful while putting it on and it worked really well. Plenty of room for my foot and leg and lots of space for my foot to slip in. Only used once so far. 👍👍

VERY PLEASED

The 5 star review is just after one use, BUT I have always been a believer in you get what you pay for. There were many other choices to look at on Amazon for less money but durability and longevity were extremely important to me as well as being water proof. The material of the cover seems to be of high quality and thickness, as well as a comfortable size on my leg while showering. Time will tell but I believe this product will last long past my need of it and be available if it becomes useful to me again.

Actually works!

I have big legs so I was concerned it wouldn’t fit, but it fits with more room to spare. It is very durable & keeps water out completely!

Great Product.

I was grateful to have found this product. However, I didn't want to take any chances of a water leak, so I wrapped a thin towel just above the top of the cast cover and held it tight with rubber bands. Then I used another x-large rubber cast cover over that and held that top tight with rubber bands. I didn't have any water leaks for 6 weeks. Its better to be overly protective then to have to spend the time in urgent care or the Doctors office getting a new cast.
