These generic "Mama Bear" brand Diaper Genie refills appear to be manufactured by Playtex, just like the OEM Playtex brand Diaper Genie refills. I bought these to replace the original Playtex branded ones I currently have installed. I noticed a few things. Both are distributed by or trademarks of Edgewell Personal Care Brands LLC (the parent company of Playtex, Schick, Wet Ones and many others). Both are produced in Canada. Also, the shipping label on the box they came in were shipped from Playtex/Schick. My summation is that these are the EXACT same Diaper Genie refills as the OEM Playtex brand ones, however they were manufactured under the Mama Bear brand name to be sold in bulk as a generic or off brand. They offer the same exact feel, packaging and quality as the original branded ones, but you get 4 in a box and they are slightly less expensive.

I use these in a diaper pail that is utilized for scooped cat litter and waste. If you have ever smelled kitty waste, you know it's comparable to stinky diapers. These are just as good as the name brand version, and are a lot cheaper. Compared to other brands, this one is slightly stiffer and thus a touch more fussy to start a new ring, but absolutely no big deal. And once you have it started, it's all good from there.

We were lucky enough to get gifted a Diaper Genie. I wanted to get one but I thought we could always just throw the diapers in the trash but let me tell you this makes a really big difference it's really nice to be able to just have a place to throw the diapers away. And all the Diaper Genie packaging it'll say that the diaper Genies only accept their brand refills but these fit perfectly. They haven't torn or let out a smell or anything. Will be buying again when we run out.

I have used a Diaper Genie for both of my kids (exact same Diaper Genie actually). For my daughter I only bought the "name brand" bags (all the wasted dollars!) and they worked great. When I bought the same bags for my son (6 years later) the quality either dropped or my son takes big dumps compared to my daughter. I had 6 failures at the seams. That is not fun to deal with. I am pretty sure I wasn't overloading them. I figured I might as well save a few dollars and buy the cheap stuff. What's the worst that can happen? So far the worst thing that has happened is I regret I didn't do this sooner. Not a single failure, and I am definitely over stuffing them. Granted I haven't used these as long as the "originals" but I think they will hold up just fine. The feel of the plastic is at least on par with the name brand and I don't detect any odor leak. I will be back to remove a star if I have a seam failure with this brand.

Just as good as the national brand I replaced with this. In fact, the deciding factor in switching my subscription to Mama Bear was that some reviewers said they knew it was the same manufacturer. My only disappointment is that in my last shipment of four refills the next to last refill was EMPTY. This is not changing my rating, I just wanted Amazon to know.

These work just as well as the name brand ones, but I have noticed that the name brand ones do a better job of identifying the "start" of the tube. With these, I've found myself repacking several feet each time I start a new pack because there is no pull tab identifying the start of the tube.

Don’t waste your money on brand name replacements! These are equally effective and much, much cheaper. The mechanism is the same as the Diaper Genie bags and it fits the diaper pail seamlessly. The best part is signing up for the suscription, saving a little bit more, and NEVER running out of trash bags and risk stinking up your entire home. Definitely worth a try!

Diapers stink. Mama Bear keeps those insidious odors locked away. Seriously. These diaper pail liners are also thick and strong. In nearly a year of me jamming every last diaper I could possibly fit in the diaper genie before I finally decide to just empty it already, Mama Bear has split only once. Certainly no reflection on the quality of Mama Bear pail liners, I treated the capacity much like one might dare to go "just a little farther" once the fuel light comes on, so I did with the diapers. Lesson learned. Absolutely no complaints. Love them. Price is right. Quantity is crazy abundant. Quality is top notch. Highly recommend.

Hard to screw up! They are easy to get the bag started. They are pretty much the same as the diaper genie and Target brands. I will continue to use these because they are less expensive and do the same job

I was hesitant to get an “off brand” diaper pail liner. When I tried a store brand, it was awful. I wasted half the package because it didn’t unravel well and it didn’t work as well as the name brand. These were really great though. I frankly forgot that they were off brand until I refilled it. Will definitely reorder
