Wonderful art toy.
I bought this for my 8 year old son. He loves art and drawing and was excited to use the projector since it enables him to draw things that are too difficult for him to draw on his own. The projector comes with some built in drawings and scenes but enjoys photographing pictures of interest and then transferring them onto the sd card that comes with the projector. He uses many different mediums like pastels, water colors, markers and pencil to enhance the image he traced from the projector. I also like that it has an electrical plug so there is no need for batteries. If your child likes to dabble with art supplies this will keep him/her busy for hours.

my kid loves this!
My 8yo figured out how to use this toy faster than I did... he flipped through the designs, picked one and drew it. It was a really nice sketch! He's excited to show his friends the picture that he drew "all by himself" - but he's also excited to continue sketching and improving his skill.

Best gift for my child!!! Works great
My kids (5 and almost 3) love this!!! My 5 year old is so proud of her art creations and I love how she can practice her letters step by step. If she traces without this unless I’m there she forgets where to start on the letter etc. but since this can show you step by step it’s perfect. I can make dinner and she can practice! She also has loved making drawings! The sample sd card has a good mix of things on it and we bought another one too since they love it so much. We were able to get my Apple phone to work with it. You just need your phone somewhat close to the device and get into the app and tell it you have a sketcher. I’ve saved images from the web and then used the app to pull them up from my camera roll. It won’t be step by step but still great to trace. My three year old needs helpsince she can’t trace as well but it’s great practice. I will be buying again for a gift.

my kids love it.
I just got this and my 5 and 6 year olds love it. Out of the box it feels like a quality well built toy. The cord on the adapter is over 5 feet long (my pet peeve is 2.5 feet chargers which make things difficult to use bc of tight spaces) My children soon tired of the provided drawings and loved the feature that they can upload and color pics of themselves and other items of choice. That really adds to the quality of this item since the options are endless. My younger one is not particularly into drawing but the idea drawing himself or his favorite monster truck really got him interested. I made them a rule that for every minute of drawing they need to do a minute of learning which is great on the smARt Sketcher., as they are still not great at writing and this helping them with their proper writing whether uppercase, lowercase or numbers.

Fantastic for teaching my girls to draw!
Love this! Bought it for my two daughters (8 and 6.5) who both love to draw. They find the smART Projector easy and fun. All they do is plug it in and there are many options for them to pick from right away. The step by step instructions to draw pictures are so easy, the girls can do it without any help from me! They love seeing their "masterpieces" and feel like artists! The easy to download app also allows us to draw pictures that we take on my cell phone....my daughters absolutely LOVE that! Great product.

AMAZING!
MY daughter loves this!! I had to work over the weekend, and she sat next to me for HOURS!!! I did not feel guilty because she was happy, and my work got done! This is a special treat for her. She is enjoying the smart sketcher, and I am enjoying watching her smile after she finishes an amazing creation! My older boys are also excited by the smart sketcher, this is designed to keep so many ages busy, I am considering buying another one, so the kids dont fight over it.

Endless fun!!
My 7 year old daughter is having a blast with this! She loves drawing, and this has helped her to improve her drawing skills. The setup was easy, I got it out of the box, pulled the top unit from around the base (good design!), plugged it in, and entered the card in the socket on top (more good design, the 'ears' are designed so that you know which way to put it in). I turned it on, and it was instantly easy to go through all the pictures and find one that she wanted to do (the fairy). Then, I downloaded the app on my Pixel 2 Android phone and went to set up the Bluetooth. I was originally sitting across the room and I got one "could not connect." I went and sat closer, and the Bluetooth connected. One it did, it let me create an account and select the types of images she most liked. But the MOST fun was hitting the camera button and take pictures of whatever you want...people, things, pets, even images from books etc. For my daughter, we've been taking pictures of our Yorkie and she's been drawing him. It's amazing! And once she started tracing the pictures from the cameraphone, she got excellent practice with shading. What an amazing, easy to use drawing tool!

Great toy! Easy to use and kept kids entertained.
So I wasn’t really sure what to expect. My kids regularly use a light box to trace images and when this arrived they were super excited to try it. It has kept my 8 and 10 yr old busy for hours making “cards” for everyone in their lives. Twelve year old tried it out too but it’s better for the younger ones. The preloaded card has plenty of images to keep them busy for a while. Overall, I’m really delighted with this new toy. Also, nice packaging and easy assembly.
