Works great, fits perfectly

I bought these because there's been a couple of local news reports about people having their annual registration renewal stickers stolen. I wanted something that was clear, not darkened in any way, something that would cover the license plate and its stickers, something that wouldn't obscure too much of the edges of the license plate, and something that would look passably nice while still being relatively inexpensive. I was also concerned that having screw caps would make it impossible for me to access the plate each year when I'll need to adhere the new registration sticker. These clear covers with simple black frames were just the ticket, and the hardware provided worked perfectly when I installed them yesterday. I know that a plate cover won't inhibit a determined thief, but it might stop a random opportunist, especially if my car is parked next to one without the registration stickers covered. If this doesn't stop the would-be thieves, I'll consider adding some security screws that require a specialized tool to remove them, but for now I'm hoping this will avoid the need for those. Installation tip: Take some masking tape and baby wipes with you. By the time you've removed your license plate and any old frame, you'll notice the accumulated road grime, and having a baby wipe takes care of that easily. As for the masking tape, keeping the stack of plate, cover, four metal washers, frame, and four screws while holding everything upright at 90 degrees means gravity will probably win after the slightest bump, but a temporary piece of masking tape will keep the hardware secure until you find all the screw holes and can give each screw a few turns, then just peel it away and tighten until secure. I figured that out after doing one plate but before I did the second one, and it saved my neighbors from hearing me swearing like a little sailor.

Fits my Audi A6, Looks good

Rear plate: The cover just fits under the camera. The screw threads fit and are JUST long enough with the washers. Another 1/8" length would be good but they are ok as is. Can't have them too long or they would bottom out. Front plate: The A6 has a plastic plate that requires self tapping screws so the machine screws that come with it don't work. I used #10 stainless sheet metal screws. Looks well made and nice appearance.

Purchased a second set for my other car

I purchased the smoked lens the first time and haven't had any issues with getting pulled over yet. I've had a lot of compliments to how heavy duty and clean it looks. I purchased a clear lens set this time for another car I just bought. I got the clear this time because the car is white and thought it would look better. Both the smoke and clear lens are identical in quality and durability. The only recommendation I have for the manufacturer is to include actual screws, not just nuts and bolts for mounting options.

great necessity

i ordered these because my license somehow started ripping?! crazy. so i needed something to protect as i waited for my new one. it covers the license plate perfectly and you can still see my numbers/letters and inspection sticker. i will continue to use this to ad security on my plate. i only screwed in the top because my car does not have holes on the bottom license plate area. i have gone in the car wash with this as well

Presents well and fits well. Would buy again.

This product presents well starting with the box, opening and removing packing. Contents were well protected, NOT scratched or scuffed. Comprehensive hardware kit, although I did not use it. The original dealer supplied screws were fine to use on the rear, and my tow hook license plate holder already came with stainless hex bolts. On the car, the frames work well, are the first I have had, that fit very well with the supplied acrylic covers, and did not obscure any portion of the license plate, such as the bottom state slogan. I would buy this product again, and am recommending it to my son who just purchased a new car.

Great quality and price.

It seems like the clear covers are very hard to find in stores these days. I can only find the frames. This cover set is perfect and I was surprised that the frame is a "shiny" smooth black finish. Everything that I have used in the past has been "flat" black. I recommend this cover set.

Allows plates to completely be read and covered

I just got a new specialized license plate, and needed a frame that did not cover the words at the bottom of the plate. Most frames cover up the words. This plate allows the message to be seen, plus protects the plate with a nice clear cover. It also came with 4 perfect screws to place on the car. I love it!

Great Product

I put these License Plate Shields on three different vehicles. They were easy to install except for one vehicle because of the pre-existing frames. I needed to purchase longer screws to connect everything back to the bumper. However, all the frames got installed and look fantastic.

Perfect Product

This product arrived quickly and very well packaged. It is a great product in that it is sturdy, clear (so clear you can't see it at all), the cover does not hide any pertinent information such as the sticker or dates. My bolts had rusted so bad that I only had one that didn't break off and even with the use of only one the plate cover stays on securely, even while I go thru the car wash every day. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase, the price is very good, and I would recommend it and this company to anyone.

Great fit and good product

These shields have a flexible frame that follows the contour and raised edge of our front license plate mount, so the fit is good. The clear molded piece is a seperate and optional install that we used for the front plate only to keep bugs off and make for easier cleaning. On the rear we just used the black frame. So instead of installing both clear shields we saved the rear one as a replacement if the front shield cracks or hazes. We all know the front of the vehicle takes all the abuse. We did not use the machine screws which were supplied. We preferred our own screws which are stainless steel, look better, and also have a better thread for non-metallic plate mounts.
