These side mount nipple drinkers work great because I have no mess or no water on the floor like before. All you have to do is drill a hole 5/16" on the side of the bucket and screw the nipple drinkers, just that easy. I give it 5 stars because it works.

These were really easy to attach to a bucket to make a self serve water station for my chickens. Having a lid on the bucket keeps the water really clean. My hens were a little slow to figure it out, but are catching on. This was the best price available, they shipped quickly, and arrived in perfect condition. Five stars for sure.

Our 8 week hens had no trouble at all using these. We started out with a small container with 3 on it in their brooder. Then put 3 on a five gallon bucket in the coop when we put them outside. They get plenty of water and there’s no waste. We add water to it about once a week. It’s easy and clean. We did use plumbers tape as a precaution because we had some but when using a thicker bucket it isn’t necessary. Overall a great product.

Good product but I prefer the horizontal nipple drinkers for chicks. I think this one will last longer though. Somehow the nipples on other drinkers can come apart and I bet this one lasts for years.

I use these in 5, 30 and 50 gallon barrels and they’re the best way to water your birds, hands down.

I absolutely love these. I have waterfowl and it's been hard to keep the water clean for the chickens in the same flock. I feel more comfortable at work now knowing they all still have access to fresh water. Hopefully they last a long time cause they design is awesome.

made chicken waterers out of 5 gallon buckets, I drill 2-3 holes in a bucked, use plumbers tape on the threads and twist them in, check for leaks and set up. Water in the bucket lasts at least a week for a dozen chickens using a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. I rinse mine out weekly, and refill. No more ugly water for my hens.

I was a little skeptical buying these because nothing chicken-related is this cheap and easy. I’ve got two different 4-5 gallon gravity waterers which do the job but they require cleaning weekly because the chickens kick dirt in the water and over time, algae will start growing in between the water barrel and the tray and the water starts smelling like a swamp. With these, a $3 bucket with lid from the hardware store will do the trick, or you can use a tidy cat bucket like I did. I thought surely water would drip out so I had some Marine Goop sealant ready just in case (didn’t need it). All you need is for one chicken to figure out the nipple and the rest will follow. It took less than 30 minutes and my curious chickens had figured out this new way to drink. As a bonus, I’ve taken away the water free-for-all for the mice that have started showing up (this is a whole other battle) and the chickens get clean water with every drink. Anyway, this has been the cheapest and probably the easiest thing I’ve done for the chickens in all my years. I should have gallons less water waste per week and I’m not lugging a 40 pound bucket of water back and forth to the coop anymore.

My chicks started using one of these once they were 4 weeks old. I like this style more than the vertical style, more options for creating a waterer and its seems like more than one can access the nipple at a time.

Bought 2 five gallon buckets from tractor supply and watched a YouTube video to make two waterers for our 30 baby chicks. It’s amazing that as soon as we sat them in with chicks they went right up and started using them!!!
