Perhaps the BEST Keyboard Ever Created!
Disclaimer: Ive used the Steel Series 6Gv2 (Cherry MX Black), as well as the Razer Black widow (Cherry MX Brown). For purposes of this review i am focusing on the performance, feel and build quality. (Spoiler: ITS FANTASTIC) Of all the keyboards i have used and typed on, this is by far the greatest thing my fingers have ever had the pleasure of experiencing besides *censored for family-friendly purposes*. Let me just say that if you enjoy linear switches, but are nervous about the sensitivity of the Cherry-Silver switches found on this board then fear not, for that was also my fear. The problem i had with cherry black was that sometimes i would press a key quickly just to find that i did not press hard enough and i would actually miss key presses that way. I got the black widow for the brown switches thinking that the tactile bump would help me know when the key was actuated. While it helped i could not help but feel that the tactile bump somehow slowed me down or got in the way of that smooth gliding typing feel. ENTER THE MX CHERRY SILVER. While i have never tried reds, i have heard that they are some of the most prefered switches for gaming. Having tried these i can now see why. When i go for a key, there is no worry about the key not actuating for the key effortlessly gives into the force of my finger. The switches are not so sensitive where the weight of my finger alone actuates them. It is just PERFECT. It truly is a hard thing to describe. For gaming i cannot imagine a better switch or board. And typists fear not for if you are sure footed in your typing skills then know that the linear switch is not your enemy when it comes to the Silver MX switches. I actually look forward to using this Keyboard every day. That is literally how much i enjoy this board. This is the first review i've wrote on amazon in years. That is literally how much i enjoy typing on this board. I almost dont want to even stop typing now lol. The funny thing is i was going to get the k70 with cherry mx browns, but decided on the LIMITED EDITION WHITE VERSION because it includes the DOUBLE SHOT KEYCAPS. which was a big deal for me. I wanted the most durable keyboard i could get and i saw how on the regular k70 some people complained about breaking keycaps. (YOU CAN BUY THE DOUBLE SHOT KEYCAPS SEPARATELY FOR $50). I thought it was well worth the risk with Amazons generous return policy to try this one out. PLUS THAT WHITE KEYBOARD IS SEXY LOOKING AF. I typed this whole review out on the board and only made 1-2 typos. rgb lighting is self explanatory. its gorgeous. everything about this board is gorgeous. BOTTOM LINE OR TLDR: Avid typist or Gamer you will not regret splurging on this board. It is the best purchase i have ever made for a PC peripheral and it works well on MAC as well. The included wrist rest is also really nice. though it is rigid is has a soft touch texture and has eliminated elbow and wrist discomfort that i would normally get on my glass desk surface. ps. DID I MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE THE VOLUME WHEEL? EVEN WORKS ON THE MAC!

Exactly as advertised. One minor note on use.
It worked exactly as advertised. However I must point out it struggles like all corsair products, if it is not connected to the PC and connected to any form of USB hub. To include monitor, external, or internal. Corsair products do horrible with hubs and should be connected only to the back USB slots of your PC. Even front side struggles unless it is a USB 3.0 -- Don't ask me why. I have purchased over a dozen of their products over the years, and it is always the same issue. However just on a lark I decided to test it anyway. Sure enough it would give me yellow or red ! points in corsair link on reboot in any USB hub on my old and my new gaming pc. Monitor USB, Separate USB hub, didn't matter. So the issue persists. The product is great really no need for details other reviewers covered that. I just wanted to point out an issue that most have no idea is the cause of 99% of negative reviews. That for most people won't be an issue at all. If you think you can go razor and avoid this issue... you can't their keyboards have the same problem. Logitech keyboards however do not, at least the prodigy doesn't. I haven't used nearly as many of their products as corsair or razor so I can't speak for the majority.

K70 RBG MK.2 SE
This is for the MK.2 SE. It's gorgeous. The (silver) aluminum surface partially reflects the RGB lighting underneath the key caps. The Corsair software (iCUE) allows for separate profiles that the user can switch between via a dedicated button on the keyboard. The Cherry MX Speed (silver) switches are nicer than the Cherry Silent (red/pink) switches I used previously (keyboard switches are, of course, personal preference). The PBT key caps are sturdy and well built. Additionally, it is nice to have an option to use textured WASD key caps, which come included. A key cap pull tool is also included. The media buttons and volume control work well. The volume dial is easy to rotate and very responsive. The back lighting for the media buttons are also RGB, so they can be set up to blend in or stand out.

What a beaut
I purchased the CORSAIR K70 RGB MK.2 SE Mechanical RAPIDFIRE and have been using it for over 3 months now. If you're questioning about getting this or not, not to get all Shia Labeouf on you but...JUST! DO! IT! Corsair's listing photos are an accurate representation of the actual product. Also, it's currently cheaper ($130 what a steal) than when I had bought it ($174). At first, I was hesitant because of the price, but in the end I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did because I absolutely love everything about this keyboard. The white keys against a brushed aluminium frame is aesthetically pleasing. The special edition also looks great with custom keycaps. Also, the keys look as amazing as they feel. Like most mechanical keyboards, the keys feel and sound great to press. I've been having a great time gaming with this keyboard because of its responsiveness and textured preset keycaps. At first, I was wary that the keys were white because they'd get dirty easily, but that's actually not the case. Everything looks clean and new. Even the braided cord looks great. The RGB customization for Corsair is great. I love how easy it is to operate iCue. In addition, changing color profiles has been made easier with the addition of the first silver button on the left of the keyboard that looks like the silhouette of an orange-ish/yellow person. You can alternate between your saved RGB profiles by pressing that button. Next to that button is a little sun symbol which allows you to choose between 3 settings of lighting, which range between dim and bright. The music buttons above the number pad look great and I especially love the scroll wheel for volume, it's efficient and looks good. I actually do like the angled wrist rest. I didn't think I would be using it after reading about how others didn't like it in their review, but it's a lot more comfortable than I anticipated. While it doesn't feel like a pillow, I think it's great for gaming because of the elevation and the texture alleviates any kind of friction you'd normally get leaning your wrist against the edge of your desk. I also appreciate the built-in USB port, it's great for anyone who doesn't have enough USB ports on their laptop/PC tower. I could go on and on about how much I love this keyboard, but all in all, it's a good looking keyboard that's efficient and definitely well-made with good quality materials. Worth it.

Low profile switch, hell yes!
Went from K70 w/ browns to K65 w/ reds to this over the past few years. I am not going to write a detailed review about the K70 in general, RGB, Mk2 changes, etc. or about minor nitpicks, since those are covered in detail all over the internet, i am just going to quickly focus on the low profile factor and the new switch. 1) The low profile of the keyboard is much more natural and comfortable to me compared to full height. Best way to describe it is something closer to a traditional membrane keyboard positioning, but not quite exactly like it, something in between. Disagree that it has a laptop feel, as i've seen others describe it, nothing remotely like this. It's not for people who want that typical "typewriter" feel from their mechanical keyboards. 2) The switch is a perfectly normal, highly responsive, low travel linear switch. Smooth without the tiring for me rubberbandy bounceback feedback of the reds. I've seen people describe it as super sensitive, like you sneeze on it and it types a dozen characters, this is not the case imo. Light typists would very much appreciate its responsiveness. Didn't have any adjustment period myself, it felt normal from the get go. The shorter travel is a major and very pleasant change for me, it met my expectations and then some. It *is* both faster and less tiring to type on this than my previous keyboard (K65 w/ reds), a significant improvement which fully justified the purchase for me. 3) It's really quiet compared to standard stock reds which is welcome (not that i had a particular problem with the sound of reds). Doubt that there is a need for o-rings for 98% of people or a silent switch version for this. Even the spacebar (normally louder than other keys) doesn't come close to qualifying as "loud" or annoying for me. Regarding low profile vs full height (or linear vs tactile), this is all a matter of personal preference, but i personally feel that i've finally found the right balance for typing/gaming, a keyboard and a switch which is highly responsive, fairly quiet and very comfortable for extended periods of time use. I like that i don't have to deal with this whole lotta switch thing and all that unnecessary long key travel anymore. It feels easier, faster and an improvement. Other people may prefer different and i am glad that Corsair offers all these new choices for us particular and choosy customers.

[K70 RGB MK.2 RAPIDFIRE Low Profile] Excellent mechanical keyboard for a work environment
I purchased this to replace my work keyboard. I also have the K95 that I use at home and wanted to stick with something similar. As soon as I saw this go on sale I knew I had to try it. With a lower actuation point than the K95 and physically slimmer keys, the noise reduction would help make it appropriate to use for the office compared to my K95 that I would never consider without trying O-rings first. Anyway, I now use it in the office and find that I now really enjoy typing while at work compared to before. It is definitely quiet enough to use in the office. The keys provide enough of a feedback to let you know that the key was pressed compared to my last work keyboard that did not have any feedback. My only complaint is that some of the keys do seem a little squeaky when pressed. More of a sharp sound when they're being pushed. It's more noticeable for me on some of the bigger keys. I hope that when they break in more the noise may go away. Overall though this noise is still so much quieter than other keyboards, just louder than the quietest keys on the keyboard.

The Mk.2 offers substantial improvements over the original
First off, I love how this keyboard comes pre-installed with Corsair's doubleshot keycaps. I've always hated the shiny keycap problem - not just because of looks, but because of feel. The slightly textured doubleshot keycaps are a big improvement in this regard. They look and feel great. This version also no longer suffers from the wobbly keycap issue present in the first version (pictured on top in the photo, in black) The keycaps, especially the larger ones like shift and space, make a satisfying sound as you depress them and wobble very little. The originals rattled slightly. I've always liked the open design of this keyboard because you can clean it much more easily. No more removing every keycap so you can blow out the hair and dead skin =)

OOOOOH, we've got got ourselves a winner here, folks!
Only gripe I have with this is the corners are so sharp and clean that for a while, I was getting these mysterious cuts on my thumb while I was using my mouse in game. Turns out, every time the mouse (and subsequently my thumb) came close enough to gently scrape the edge of the keyboard and it sliced me up! Hah! But a small bit of filing down did the trick and it's hands down the best keyboard for fast paced gaming. For typing, however, I actually break out a second keyboard because I'm not accurate enough to type without making tons of errors due to the incredibly low actuation point. But even then, the sound and the feel of this thing is just amazing. Sometimes I just love it too much to even be bothered by all my mistakes. It's not they keyboard's fault, after all. The connectivity is great, I wish EVERY keyboard had a usb passthrough, the lighting and the software (now that it works properly after a newly released update) is the most versatile, amazing lighting program I've encountered yet, the thing is sturdy as a tank, clean and slick, and I even prefer the supposedly cheap plastic wrist rest to the thick foam one I bought because I didn't realize at first that it came with its own wrist rest. Really the only thing I'd have to warn you about is the fact that this isn't actually a silent keyboard despite the linear, non-clicky switches. I myself very much like to bottom out the keys when typing, so it's about the same loudness as a blue switch keyboard to me. But hey, that doesn't bother me in the least, and with even a little bit of effort and delicacy, it totally CAN be the most silent keyboard you'll ever use. Top marks all around, and definitely don't think I'll need to get another keyboard for the rest of my life. If you're into low profile gaming like I am, but don't reeaaallly know if it's worth the price, I must admit, it was a hard pill to swallow, but now I think it totally is. Quit looking around, you won't be disappointed. Amazing product, Corsair! You have a winner, here.

LOW PROFILE k70 mk2 Rapidfire
This review is for the LOW PROFILE k70 mk2 Rapidfire I haven't used a mechanical keyboard in years and I still can't believe I spent this much money on a keyboard, but WOW do I like it. I don't have the experience to tell the difference between switch types beyond "loud-clacky" that feel great and membrane that feel dead but don't wake them. I'm not big into RGB lighting but have to admit I'm coming around with all the possibilities this keyboard offers if using the Corsair iCUE software. I currently have the Corsair logo illuminated according to my CPU temp (green/yellow/red by temp range), a soft back light on the keys, and another color for the media keys. Pretty nifty. The only downside is to set this up required 4 layers in iCUE and you are not able to save more than one to the keyboard (hardware) memory profiles. Which means on boot up you have to wait and load iCUE before the color schemes are loaded. The feel of the keys is great, yet quieter than the mechanical boards I've seen in the past. The Rapidfire has "Cherry MX speed silver" which is a linear switch and are incredibly responsive with a nice weight of 45g. Actuation is a mere 1mm, but I feel the total throw of the switch is a bit long with the activation point so short. No doubt this is something I'll get used to as I continue using it. The low profile and aluminum top plate makes it look great and feel even better. It is a very solid feeling keyboard with a good weight that doesn't move around the desk too easily. All keys are solid with next to no wiggle, even the space bar. Pros: -Mechanical keys feel great, but quiet, I love these speed switches. -Media Keys are nice and easy to use (volume WHEEL). -These are the most solid keys I've seen on ANY type of keyboard. -Temp monitoring (cpu, gpu, and motherboard temps available in iCUE) -Included key tool makes removal/cleaning a breeze. Cons: -Wrist rest is pretty sub-par in my opinion, and at this price level that's a real shame. -iCUE implementation could be better, but it is good enough to get me to use it. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality keyboard that can justify the price point.

Hands down the best keyboard for gaming
This is a great keyboard in general but it truly shines in the gaming category. the quick keys are incredible and the silent key strokes are quite satisfying. It still makes a good stroke sound but there isn't an actual mechanical click feel or audible sound, the only sound is from the key hitting the bottom of the board. The RGB programming is really nice and easy to customize and the downloadable software online is free through their website. The pass through USB connection comes in handy a lot and I use it almost daily for one thing or another. The look and feel of this keyboard is great, I have a full white and silver setup which was the main reason I wanted this. I actually prefer the orange mechanical keys by corsair but the aesthetic couldn't be passed up. You may think I'm crazy for trading in look over comfort or satisfaction of clicking keys but it still provides me with enough sound from my typing that I am okay with it. If you want a truly silent keyboard I don't know if this is for you unless you type very gently. Overall, I think anyone would like this keyboard, whether or not you decide to go for the limited edition white or standard black. Its great.
