Works flawlessy for Nintendo switch and laptop

Bought as a smaller portable dock for my switch as well as being able to use the switches screen with usb port. Product works flawlessy and is made well. Not sure why other docks are priced 3 or 4 times as much when this gets the job done perfectly. I can also easily plug in my laptop and it will work as a dock for that as well. Really nothing I can complain about or see that needs improvement.

Excellent portable alternative to the official Nintendo Switch docking station

Combine this items with a properly rated USB-C power connector plus an HDMI cable and you have a much smaller docking station that you can take anywhere that has an HDMI connector and get full screen switch action going. Highly recommended as a less expensive choice for allowing for secondary rooms within your own house as well.

It Works Don't Worry

I am a real human, who actually used this, and let me say it is worth every penny I paid for it. This didn't brick my device like many other reportedly have, and as of 1/10/19 my Switch is fully updated and functional. It does what is claims to do, and even comes with instructions so it's very easy to setup. I only used it with my Switch, so I can't vouch for it working with anything else, but it's a nice product. It's got an metal case that feels like it could be aluminum, but it feels sturdy enough. It's so much easier to travel with than the official Nintendo, so I can actually bring my whole setup without it being a pain.

Great mobile dock for the Nintendo Switch!

This converter makes for a great traveling video converter for the Nintendo Switch. The picture is just as clear as with the original Switch Dock, but since the Switch isn't enclosed it remains a bit cooler. It is very important that a power adapter capable of powering the Switch is used with this converter. It will not work if a typical cell phone charger is used -- more power is necessary in order to power both the converter and the Switch at the same time. Buying a mobile power adapter for the Switch to go with this makes it a great traveling set. I have a fairly small zippered carrying case for my switch, which has room for the Switch with the Joy-Cons attached, up to 10 game cartridges and a large lid in which I keep a traveling charger, earbuds, the wrist straps for the Joy-Cons, and this HDMI converter. Makes for a very compact and handy traveling setup! I'm very glad I found this Switch-to-HDMI converter! It will supposedly work with other devices that have a USB-C port for video/audio export but since I don't have any other such devices I can't test how well it works with them.

Work with Nintendo switch if..........

For anyone looking to use this with Nintendo switch, this will work as long as you plug in the other USB C port as your charging port. I couldn’t make it work just by plugging this directly to the switch via HDMI to the TV but once I used the other port as charger, it worked like a charm 😀 This device will charge the switch and also enable u to project the video into your TV or monitor via HDMI. FYI, this worked with my MacBook Pro 2019 and iPad Pro WITHOUT having to plug in one of the ports as your charger. Simply plug in the device to you iOS usb type c enabled devices, plug in your HDMI cable to your monitor/TV and whoalaaaa it works 😀 the only device I’ve tried so far the REQUIRES power is the switch 😀 I have the Nintendo switch dock but wanted a way to project the switch to the other TVs we have without having to move the dock so this device makes that possible. I can even play the switch on our projector in our backyard gazebo so wait no longer and get this!! I reached out to the seller at first when I couldn’t get it to work with my switch but they aren’t very helpful ☹️ Didn’t receive any response at all, I would’ve given this a 4 star for poor customer service but since the device worked as expected, I had to be fair and give this 5 stars. One of the customers (@thefugg) gave me suggestion that worked! Thank God for These great Amazon shopaholics like me!

Works well to connect a Switch to a TV.

The item worked perfectly to attach my Nintendo Switch to the TV when I followed the instructions to hook it up. To power both the adapter and the Switch I was able to use the original power supply that came with the Switch when I bought it, and an HDMI cable we had laying around the house.

Works great and the price is right.

My Switch's dock died and I needed to replace it. I did not want to spend all the money required for the actual Nintendo product so I did a little shopping around and settled on this one. I plugged it in and it worked right away. The only issue I had was that you need to turn on and log into your switch before you plug it in. This was clearly explained in the instructions, I just didn't read them at first. I've only had it a couple of days but it works great and I have no complaints at all. Great product.

It works exactly like I hoped!

I don't have a ton of space in my entertainment center for the normal Nintendo Switch docking base, and I also had heard that some folks had damaged the screen since Nintendo didn't include felt lining inside the walls of the docking base. This adapter takes all that out of the equation completely. Also so nice and compact for traveling too! I packed up the normal Nintendo Switch docking station and am going to buy another one of these, one for the home, one for the road!

I'm surprised!

I rarely review stuff... but this adapter really surprised me. I have had TWO original Nintendo Switch docks and they have both broken for no reason and stopped displaying the console imagery to my television. I bought this adapter because it was a less expensive option than buying another original dock. Well! Not only did I save a ton of money by buying this adapter instead of another dock... but I would SWEAR the image quality displayed to my television is actually better than what I got from the original dock. The colors seem richer and the blacks seem darker with this adapter. I can't believe I've wasted my time and money on the original dock. I don't know about other things I could hook up to this adapter, but my Nintendo Switch is looking SO good!
