My dog LOVES her new bed! Sizing is just right. The large is perfect for her. She is 49 pounds. A Bassett Chow mix.

UPDATE: October 23, 2017: Last week, I had to leave the living room. Sophie was chewing her blue Kong rubber bone so since I was only going to be out of the room for a minute...I had no problem leaving her there.Sound strange? Not if you have a really nosy, SNEAKY bulldog who gets into almost anything!! So I cam back in the room, and Sophie was sitting on her couch bed chewing her blue bone. Before I go on - I have to say I'm a big fan of coloring books and have all kinds of pencils, markers and gel pens. WELL. Somehow, my Sophie found a Metallic Blue PERMANENT Marker , and SNEAKILY started chewing it behind the blue bone so I couldn't see it when I cam back in the room. I just thought she was chewing the bone...UNTIL - she came over to my couch and jumped up, sat down, and stared at me. It took doing a double take to see my Sophie now had blue feet and a blue mouth! I freaked...thought ""OMG what kind of bone leaks the color" and went to throw it away, when I saw it. She ate the s*** out of that pen!! It was in pieces. All over her couch bed. Then I freaked thinking she poisoned herself. After a really good inspection - there wasn't one little blue spot in her mouth..amazingly! But - the couch bed didn't fare as well. See photo below!! I also put a few of Sophie so you could see her paws and her "Jabbles" . BLUE Permanent Ink!!! ACKKkk Well - I cleaned up the pen parts, took the fabric off the bolsters and bed and tossed it in the washing machine, hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Well...to my surprise everything came out PERFECT! No blue stains whatsoever. There is one spot that has just a tinge of blue...but that's it. I don't have to throw the couch bed away and I LOVE this even more now. I mean - WHO ever gets permanent ink out of anything?!!! Sophie really likes the Bolsters. She lays her head on them, and when she falls asleep she sinks down onto the fur part and rolls on her back . OK so the Bolsters aren't super firm...but that's OK because Sophie doesn't like them hard. And, yes she has a bog ole heavy head and the Bolsters may squish down after a while...but I'll worry about it when/if we get there. The Egg Crate "Mattress" is perfect for Sophie. She has a bad hip from playing in her pool...she slipped on the grass when she was about a year old and ever since she has a little limp when she over does it. So far...she's been laying on this Sofa for hours at a time and is perfectly happy. When the Egg Crate runs out of gas...I'll go to the store and buy another one and cut it down and stuff it in the cover....NO Egg Crate "Mattress" lasts a long time. I know because I use one every single day on our bed. . If Sophie seems to be uncomfortable - I'll just buy one, cut it to size and stuff it under the one already there to give her added support. But for now she seems very comfortable! Another option is, if you and your pet really like this Sofa Bed...you can buy Seat Replacement Foam and cut it down to size to fit...I did this for a couch of our that the cushions were really cheaply made...and it worked perfectly. Amazon sells Seat Replacement Foam. Sophie has extremely thin hair, and when she goes outside for longer than 15 minutes - we have to put sunscreen on her as she burns very quickly. And due to such thin hair, she is ALWAYS cold inside. The furry part of this Sofa is perfect! I usually put her "blanky" down for her, but she has yet to go near it. Now - I read quite a few reviews and there are a lot of negative ones - my dog was digging and it is in pieces....my dog chewed it and now it's useless...it's not the Sofa's fault your dog chewed or dug it and ruined it!! There are NO dog chewer proof fabrics in this world...and I've spent a lot of time and a TON of money looking and buying things that say "For Aggressive Chewers"...HA! They haven't met my Bulldog!! Also...if you received a dirty Sofa...try contacting the Seller or Amazon and have it replaced BEFORE you write a negative review. Sometimes stuff happens and all is not as perfect as it should be. If your item gets replaced and you get a beautifully clean item..THEN write a review and tell us all about it. I can't stand it when people write negative reviews on things that have NOTHING to do with the actual item...or they write bad things about something they could have fixed...and didn't. And if you just don't like something...don't put a negative review...not everything is going to be to our liking...that doesn't mean it's the items fault! And yes, I do know there are items out there that just plain old should never have been made. This Sofa Pet Bed, in my HONEST opinion...is not one of the bad ones. I'm sure there are better ones out there...but I bought this one. It has what I was looking for for my dog, the price was right, it got here on time and in excellent condition, and most importantly of all...my baby LOVES her new Sofa Bed. And because of that - I'm a happy person! I definitely recommend this for a dog or cat...or even your pet pig...whatever your pet is , and definitely recommend the Seller. Thanks FurHaven!

I ordered the large for my 36 LB Australian Cattle Dog. It is the perfect size for him, but definitely too small for his big Staffordshire/lab brother. I barely could get it out of the box before he was on this bed sniffing it! He immediately laid on it and has been happily chewing his bones and toys on it ever since. The bed seems well made. The bottom is a canvas material and the top a microfiber. The other reviews are accurate in their description of thin padding on the sides and bottom, but it is not terribly thin. I think it is certainly adequate, especially for the price. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase! UPDATE: I have now had this bed for over a year and it is still just as nice! I wash it routinely on a normal cycle and hang it to dry and it has absolutely zero signs of wear! If I ever need another bed, I will certainly be re-purchasing this one! My boy loves it and it has help up beautifully!

Got the small size for my elderly cat. She quickly adopted it. Now it is her preferred place to sleep.

I bought this sofa pet bed for my little "Cookie", a Pom/Shitzu mix weighing about 10 pounds. She recently chewed up her old bed beyond use and have been sleeping on our sofa. I purchased a medium sofa and the size was perfect for her. Upon opening, she immediately went on to try it out! She's able to spread out in any which direction she wants and still with room left over. Now I find her sleeping on the sofa bed and not our actual sofa. She's an older dog so hopefully the Orthopedic foam base will give her extra support and comfort. If you find this review helpful, please click 'helpful' button at the end of this product review. My 85 lb labrador mix is comfy as can be on the Jumbo size. I was pleasantly surprised at how big this bed actually is, - bigger than the XL beds I have seen elsewhere. She can spread out on this one. She's an old dog and seems to find this bed very easy on her old bones. I don't know yet what the longevity will be, but have bought more expensive beds that didn't last long, so if I get a year out of this one I will be happy.

Such a great bed! The day I got it, my dog went right to it and didn't get off for 7-8 hours! One of my dogs has a limp in her back leg, so the egg crate bottom is great for her muscles to relax on! The other dog doesn't even get to use it sometimes because her sister just sprawls out on it! I ordered a medium, but the bed was too small for my two dogs, so I returned it and got a large instead. WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not a problem at all! (for size reference in the picture, my dogs are both 9-13 lbs, maltese-havanese mix)

My 9 yr old 90 lb Lab needed a replacement for his old Costco dog bed made of pieces/chunks of memory foam and due to the high cost a new memory foam mattress the dog bed I opted for this reasonably priced, highly recommended FurHaven Jumbo Orthopedic foam bolster bed. My dog loves a bolster and this was his first bed that had the bolster on 3 sides. He LOVES this bed. There is 4" of high quality foam (two layers glued together) and the bolster is 4" of a poly fiber fill. My other dog, a little 20lb Shi-poo also enjoys the bed during the day when the Lab is with my husband. I would definitely buy this bed again. Update: 11/14/18 It's been a year since I bought the FurHaven Pet Dog Bed and my lab Woody is now 10.5 yrs, little Max is 12.5yrs. The fourth picture shows a very comfortable Woody on a year old bed that has been washed multiple times and vacuumed almost daily. The mattress hasn't shown any signs of compression either. This bed has definitely earned its7

My German Shepherd absolutely loves it! I got the jumbo size, he's a 90lb dog... just for reference.

EDIT: I purchased this dog bed one year ago and it is still in GREAT shape, and my dog still loves it (see new picture with reindeer antlers hehe). The cover is easy to take off and wash. I rotate the way I lay the bed (open edge against the wall and away from it) so that it wears down easily. and I also alternate the foam pieces inside in a similar way as well. Doing this has worked wonderfully and it has held up extremely well with my 115lb dog who loves it and lays in it daily. It developed a tiny rip at the seam that I easily glued with permanent fabric glue and back to new. SOO worth it - buy this! I ordered the Jumbo plush espresso bed for my 110lb Bernese Mountain Dog. She is a big girl - both heavy and in terms of her body size. I wanted a bed she could comfortably fit in and actually spread out on. I'm also on a budget, which is not ideal given what I was looking for. We have had this bed for 2.5 mo. and it's still holding up GREAT! Maddie (the pup) took to it immediately, and she continues to love it. She sleeps in it all of the time and definitely enjoys it. I have washed the cover a few times without issue. I noticed that the foam does indent fairly easily and bend one way based on how she lays on it, so I just make it a point to alternate it every few weeks so it wears down symmetrically. The only minor issue I've had was the front stitching on one side started to come apart from her use, but I fabric glued it and it's been fine since. Would definitely recommend this bed. It's not the highest quality bed, but for what you pay it is definitely worth it!
