The Sunco LED lights are great! They’re very bright and it was relatively easy to install. When making a hole into the ceiling, keep in mind that the wings where the clips are attatched to protrude slightly past the circular base, in other words make your hole slightly bigger to accommodate this. I was disappointed with the lack of attention to detail from Sunco in their description. Parts of the product descriptions it states that it comes with a 5 year warranty and in other areas it says 7 years. Which is true?? Misleading much? This not only applies to the Amazon listing but also on their website. The very same errors can be found. The pics on both sites says 7 Yrs whereas the box I received says 5 yrs along with the specs sheet on both websites. On another subject, I really wanted to put this light system as part of my smart home design. In other words, I wanted to control these lights via my iPhone remotely and by using Amazon Alexa. After calling Sunco they reassured me that there were no smart dimmer switches out there to make this happen. They mentioned that there is one smart switch that works with these lights but it lacks the dimming part, so it’s basicalky an on/off switch. Well, after doing a lot of research I was able to put 2+2 together. This light system is an ELV (Electronic Low Voltage) for those that don’t already know. I was able to gamble on only one smart dimmer switch that I found online that may be able to work with my Sunco recessed lights. I purchased the Lutron Caseta Wireless Smart Lighting Dimmer Switch for ELV, Model # PD-5NE-WH. Good thing I did because it worked beautifully!!! This may be the only smart ELV dimmer switch in the market that is capable of working with low voltage lighting systems and to pair it with other popular devises. Please DO NOT buy the Lutron Caseta Model # PD-6WCL-WH, as this will not work with low voltage lights. Model # PD-5NE-WH is the only safe bet that I’ve found to work with ELV lights. This model isn’t cheap! You’ll end up shelling out about $100 but to have a smart dimmer switch and to be able to control it from anywhere I think it was worth every penny. I bought the ELV dimmer switch from Amazon and received it the next day. Other big named home improvement stores have them on their website but they will not be in the stores stock, they’ll have to ship it to you. If you want it quick then Amazon is the way to go. Anyway, follow the instructions included and you’ll find it very easy. Also, another note to mention. If you end up buying the smart dimmer switch I listed above to pair it with your Sunco Slim LED lights then you’ll either need their hub or you can use the Wink 2 Hub. You can simply link it to the Wink hub and then pair it to your Alexa account. All went as smooth as possible.

Theses were simple to install and look great! Finding the existing wire was a problem though, not just in the hole as shown in the video. Haha. I’m not sure how comfortable I am just letting the box lay on the ceiling in the insulation though. I pushed it away but it still will fall to the light and box. Tough to hook it to anything in remodel so time will tell. I’m throughly pleased so far. Good light and quiet. 16 of the 6” in my 1200sq ft garage. What a difference! I’ll be getting more in 4” possibly a WiFi type for our family/media room. Controllable and dimming a must. Only basic household wiring knowledge needed. If you question yourself here, hire a pro. Don’t want to short yourself!

These exceeded my expectations. Very bright. Easy to install. Look really good. The junction box is metal and leaves enough room for either 1 or 2 incoming wires (but not 3). The box includes a ground wire. The only thing not included that you'll want is some wire clamps for the kockouts. It doesn't come with any, and you don't want to pass a wire through a metal hole without a clamp. Luckily they are cheap and readily available at any hardware store. The greatest thing about these is they are super thin. Thinner than the drywall - which means you can install them over studs. As long as you have an inch of clearance on either side of the stud, the spring clips can go in and hold the light up. Sooo much better than having to move the lights off center to fit a traditional can around studs.

After reading reviews, I decided to try these lights out. I bought a six pack and they arrived right on time. Per suggestion by previous reviewer, I connected one junction box and tested each light ... all worked fine. Being an electrician, I had enough Romex connectors on hand to secure Romex wire to junction box (these are available from any hardware store). I prepared each junction box by installing a romex connector and stripping the wires a little more than the manufacturer. After cutting out a 6-1/8 inch round hole, all lights were installed easily and look great! I purchased the 2700k which looks exactly like the warm home light of the standard incandescent bulb, but brighter. I also installed an LED rated dimmer which is a “must have” with these lights. I was so impressed with this product that I ordered twelve more 6 inch lights and an additional six 4 inch lights (for bay windows). All have been installed and work great. My only suggestion for the manufacturer would be to include a separate cut-out template that manufacturers of “can” lights include with their product. As I have installed many can lights in the past, I have them on hand to locate position and trace holes for a manual cut. You can also use a 6 inch hole saw (the 6-3/8 inch can light cutter is a little too big for these lights). If you cut out your own 6 inch paper or thin cardboard template, you can use a thumbtack to prelocate all lights in the room for the best look and function while clearing ceiling joists. All-in-all, I couldn’t be happier with this product, price, and it’s quality. Definitely will recommend them to friends and family! They even come with a five year warranty 👍👍.

Love these lights! My husband has installed them before and had a pretty easy time of it, but our living room had no wiring except a hot switch. It was a dark and depressing cave. So our electrician friend wired it up and then installed these for us. He said he likes how easy they are to install, how bright they are, how sleek they look, etc. We feel the same! Great value for a great product, and our living room looks 1000x better. Kitchen is next, though we’re going with 4-inch wafers for that.

These are the brightest and slim that easily fits in any location. Have them in vaulted ceilings and love the flush look.

These are AMAZING! My husband installed them in our living room/dining room and kitchen area. Wow. The lighting is out of this world. Highly recommend. Easy to install, they look amazing and brighten up our house perfectly. Just buy them. You won’t regret it.

Excellent value for the money. This fixture is cast aluminum - not a cheap piece of stamped metal junk, well designed for installation (like it will fit any type of wall box - not just a round box, and the business part of it hinges on the base which makes it much easier to install). You can install direct to your box. With this type of mounting there is no adjustment, but It comes with several mounting hardware options which do permit some adjustment (but don't look as nice). The alternate mounting hardware options provided are a yoke and a swivel arm. Be aware that this fixture does not have a built-in photocell or motion detector, so you need a control circuit of some kind. It is very compact and the light cutoff is very good. Typical of LEDs - not just this fixture - is that when you are under its direct light, it has a "glare" because the light source (in this case, two sources) is very small. Even at 20w, this fixture is brighter than I would have preferred in my application, lighting the alley off a gate from my back yard, but not shining in my neighbor's eyes or yard.

The size and temperature that I selected were perfect for the job I had in my living room. I installed ten of these and the installation was a breeze after I discovered the beauty of a carbide hole saw on a cement stucco'ed ceiling. The low profile means placement can be over a truss or joist without having to jockey the position of the holes. Now I am looking for places to put more of these lights.

These have made a huge difference in my home. From how great they look and how bright they make the room. My wife always complained about how certain rooms in the house looked dark. Picked up a 12 pack of these a 12 pack of beer and installed these with some 14/2 and a tool to cut out the holes and done with 3 rooms and 12 fixtures 3 hours later by myself. Definitely would recommend to anyone that is somewhat handy wanting to fix up their home at a great price ps if you really want to get fancy pick up some smart dimmers and hook it up to you Alexa or google home your wife will fall in love all over again
