This is the perfect size for what I was looking for- a cable for a portable phone charger (because most come only with micro-USB cables and I have an iPhone). I was sick of using longer USB to lightning cables that were bulky to carry around and defeated the purpose of having a small portable battery charger- this 4” cable is the perfect length! I’m tempted to buy a few more because I have a couple of different portable phone chargers that have the same issue with the cable (even ones that came with a micro-USB to lightning “adapter” because they either don’t fit snugly, or more commonly, my phone won’t “recognize” the accessory because the adapters don’t really work). It is a little bit pricey I feel for the 4” cable because it is so small, and I think I paid around $7, and this product isn’t made by Apple (and “MFi certified” doesn’t really mean anything in my experience when it comes to third-party cables with Apple products). I wish the price was a little less, but am overall still happy to have found this, as the “adapters” weren’t working with the more recent iOS updates, but still wanted to be able to carry a portable charger. If this is the case for you too—then I 100% recommend buying the 4” cable (it’s the perfect size). Also, in my experience, Amazon tends to make pretty decent quality “basic” products that don’t break after a couple of uses. I also had no error message or problem when I used this cable with my portable charger and iPhone, which is a pretty big problem these days with non-Apple cables, so that is a huge positive.

These are improved cables. There is something to grab the cables from without them coming apart. These cables have lasted us the longest and now they are reinforced and improved because my six year old does not properly pull them out. I am well pleased.

I bought several of the earlier design of this "AmazonBasics" cable. This one has strain-reliefs on both ends and the cable is slightly larger in diameter. All in all this should stand up much better to abuse/wear & tear. One reviewer mentioned it did not fit their lifeproof case. I have an iPhone 6s with the lifeproof waterproof case and the cable works fine with my case. The only down-side I can see, which doesn't bother me, is that the heavier duty cable is less flexible than the original design.

I had ordered cheap knock off chargers for my phone and they stopped working almost immediately. I then decided to buy an apple certified charger and what a difference it makes! I get a fast charge, AND I don’t have to worry about it not charging my phone. The only thing I have to recommend is using an apple certified charging box with it as any other box it won’t work with. Which isn’t an issue for me as I had my original box still.

I have purchased cheap Apple charging cables in the past and have regretted it. I always found they were slow charging, to the point if I were using a map app (like Wase) while driving, the phone battery would run out faster than my cheap cable would charge my phone. I have had good luck with Amazon Basics products in the past so I opted to give the Amazon Basics Apple Lightning cable a try. The surround on the lightning connector end of the cable seems to be a bit bigger than what the Apple OEM cable is. I had no issue getting the lightning connector end of the cable plugged into the iPhone port with a phone in a Spigen Tough Armor case or an Otter Commuter case Everything about the Amazon Basics cable seems to be a bit bigger than the OEM cable. The cable itself is a bit thicker and the connector surrounds seem a bit thicker and have ends that look to be built for repeated bending back and forth. The only drawback that I found with the Amazon Basics cable is the cable itself seems much stiffer than the OEM Apple cable. Only time will tell if the Amazon Basics outlast the Apple OEM cable. However, the Amazon Basics cable seems to charge as fast as the Apple OEM cable and I would purchase another without hesitation.

Very good quality cords and reasonable price. Cord strain relief built in so no doubt will last longer than the poor quality cords that Apple provides. Even the casing seems to be more robust but it is a little stiffer. Small price to pay for something that will last more than a month. Good buy and will buy again.

They reinforced the are near the end of the plug so hopefully it will not fray like previous versions. So far so good.

Amazon you sneaky little boogers!!! Good job on the new design hopefully this will light a fire under Apples @$$ to start making a better charging wire. Spending thousands of dollars on their devices and getting this Fisher Price charging wire for the last 5 models is a joke.

I originally bought this a month ago and it started to get a short in it, I emailed them about it and they sent a replacement. I couldn’t be anymore happy it’s perfect so far. I love these chargers and they usually last a very long time

So far, so good! I’ve heard a lot of people say chargers they get off amazon break easily, so I am hoping that doesn’t happen to me. But I take extra good care of everything phone related, so I’m hoping that won’t be an issue for me. The 6 feet length is perfect because it’s not too short and it’s not obnoxiously long.
