Since this mat is extra large it works for sitting under our twin high chairs (facing each other). Although it doesn’t catch all the flung spoons and foods, I think it has really helped reduce how sticky our floor is around the chairs. The light color makes it easier to see spills (our floors are dark). And it’s easy to clean! It’s easy to wipe but since it is a little pourus it can need a little elbow grease if you miss a spot that dried hard.

I would give this ten stars if I could. I have cherry colored pergo floors. My daughter leaves water spots everywhere when she drops her water cup from her high chair. She is also a messy eater. This mat catches all of that. It’s also waterproof and machine washable. I just shake it outside. I’ve washed it a few times and it is in perfect condition. It is non-slip too.

Yes, yes, yes! Gone are the days of getting on my hands and knees to wipe clean the floor after every meal. So here’s the deal—my 20-month old loves to throw his food, despite our best efforts to redirect and teach him not to. It’s a phase that’s lasted longer than we anticipated, and I was getting so tired of cleaning the floors multiple times a day. Prior to buying this splat mat, we used one of those disposable table cloths—the kind with the waterproof plastic top and felt bottom. That works fairly well until it started ripping from getting caught in our son’s Boon Flair highchair wheels. I initially thought $24 was a bit steep for a piece of fabric meant to catch food, but after using it for a couple of weeks, I can attest to it being worth every penny. I love how the bottom is grippy, allowing us to easily roll his highchair on and off the mat. The waterproof quality of the fabric is fantastic, and the arrows print against the grey background is lovely and neutral. It also doesn’t stain and washes up nicely and easily in the washer. Though the directions say to hang dry, I’ve dried it in the dryer with no ill-effects. The only wish I have is that it be a tad wider because my son’s arm is pretty good and food occasionally flies outside the width of the mat. Aside from that, this is a wonderful splat mat.

LOVE having this! It is well made and adorable. I bought 2 (1 a different design) so I could bring one with me to friends houses. My 1 yr old is a messy eater and throws EVERYTHING when she is done eating. There are "slip free dots" on the bottom, like baby socks so they don't slip. But nothing that makes it lay flat and stay flat on the floor. But I kind of like that about it. It is just like putting a picnic blanket down but smaller and way more manageable. After she eats I just scoop it up and shake everything off outside for the chickens and dogs. Makes it so I'm not mopping every day. Highly recommend it!

This splat mat ended up being exactly what I hoped for when I bought it! My 16 month old drops food off his high chair when he’s done eating, he does it so fast that I can’t stop him even when I’m sitting right in front of him. So there was food all over our floor all the time, I know I should have cleaned it up quicker but I’m just not that kind of cleaner and my son is not the kind of baby to let me clean up. So when we had ants, I wasn’t too surprised but I hated it, I found this mat and it’s solved the problem! At the end of the day I pick up the mat and throw the food in the garbage. The mat is big enough that it catches most of the food he throws. When I gets food splattered on it, I throw it in the washer and it’s good as new! It hasn’t stained either, I’ve been able to wash out blueberry stains, marinara sauce, and pepperoni grease with no trace. I love the grippy bottom, it never slides around so I know it’s always going to be where I want it. Did I mention that it’s super cute too?

If you’re like me and don’t have a dog to clean up your baby’s food messes off the floor, then this splat mat is for you! I love this thing, it’s cute and it’s a decent size, and it grips to the floor so it doesn’t slide around. Much better than having to wipe up the floor after every meal because my child always throws his food in the floor when he’s done.

Keeps the floor clean, plenty of room to go under our high chair, and I love the relatively neutral pattern. I have some concerns that-- over time-- the cloth will eventually stain, but that's the price you pay for having a cloth-type mat instead of just a piece of plastic. I'm okay replacing it later if needed.

We debated on buying this for months, and when we finally did, I should have bought it earlier. It's amazing quality, easy to clean, and makes our lives SO MUCH EASIER. We used to scrub our floor every night multiple times due to our wonderful baby throwing food everywhere... now we just pick up the mat, put the food crumbs in the trash, and drop the mat in the laundry every other day.

Very nice product, great size, waterproof, washable!
