Amazing Product... JUST SET IT AND FORGET IT!!!! *_*

Amazing!!! Works quick, easy and flawlessly. I bought 2 different smart chargers before i even saw this one. Lets just say the other 2 completely fried my brand new 12v deep cycle wet lead acid battery. They were supposed to go through there different charge cycles and when the battery was fully changed, it should have shut off. After leaving it over night to charge, the next morning it was still in bulk charge mode. It had been in that mode for over 9 hours. So i was a little hesitant and weary when i received this and hooked it up for the first charge. For my job i use "Rip Tide" pool vacuum that runs off a large group 27 lead acid battery. So i need a trusted battery charger that won't over charge and ruin my battery but also fully charge my battery over night and will be ready the next morning. This smart charger did its job above and beyond. So simple and easy. "JUST SET IT AND FORGET IT"!!!! I am returning it though, to get it's larger brother. It was on sale and only $2 more for 2/10/25 amp. I hope it will be as much of a blessing as this one has been.

Great little charger!!

I love this unit! My work truck had completely died due to me out on medical leave. So my truck has just been seating in the driveway for 3 week's now. I jumped my truck to get some charge to the battery. Then I put the charger on once the truck would just barely turn over. This little charger is great. It took about 7 hours for a full charge on the 2amp setting. Then the unit turned it self off at full charge. Once the battery comes down to about 90%, the charger (float charge) kicks back on. Great bang for the buck!

Excellent Battery Charger

This charger worked perfectly for me! It was very easy to setup, just apply the cables and press the charge button. I used the 2 amp charge option, as in the instruction manual it advised that this mode would be the best option for a complete charge and to maintain my battery's longevity. The instruction manual was short, but easy to follow, even with a couple of minor typos. I like the display on the unit as well, as it helped me easily check in to see how the charging was coming along and what stage the unit was in. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable auto battery charger with a nice suite of options. I look forward to using it in the future, and will update my review should I experience any problems with the unit.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY INTUITIVE BRAIN & HEALING OF BATTERY

Don't think that voltage showing is the only measurement of a battery's health. It isn't. I've used this on 6 batteries so far in few days I've owned it. Each was in need of recondition and each had only 80 to 90% potential when fully charged. Some were brand new batteries that had lost some of their potential from sitting on the shelf prior to being sold. This unit when connected and switched to 'recondition' was able to do a slow start, then a complete equalization and make each battery, and without fail, function at 100% again. Each now has a much more potential for use in my solar system without going below my personal threshold of 80%. As I mentioned, some were only at 80% but showed 12.7 volts. Even at full charge many batteries just get 'tired'. Well this little unit changes that and 'wakes' them up to like new, or better than like new condition. One battery was connected for over 4 years and was really tired making me think I'd have to replace it. Once I used this unit to recondition it is now at 100% potential when at fully charged voltage. I read the negative reviews and concluded that either they received a defective unit that needs to be replaced or they don't understand how to use it. To each his own. My conclusion is that this thing is fantastic. Just being able to keep my tractor battery from completely dying every 2 years is worth every penny I paid for it.

Smart Charger

This is my first smart/digital charger and I can't believe I waited this long to upgrade. This charger is amazing! It is smart enough to detect which mode to charge the battery. It has a great display to keep you updated on the status of the charge. This charger is also very compact, lightweight, and easy to use. I do not have to worry about anyone in my household using the charge incorrectly either because it is smart enough to detect when it is properly attached to a battery before it begins charging. Great product!

MUST HAVE I repeat MUST HAVE!

I don't touch my civic in months and over the past few years the only way to get my battery charged was to jump it. However, doing this so many times will wear out the alternator so I said I had enough of this and rolled the dice with this product. When I got it was like plugging in your phone. I connected the terminals and plugged the AC plug into the wall and I watched the screen detect my battery and automatically configure the right settings to charge my battery. I let it sit hoping that it would not catch on fire if it overcharged, but to my observation the next morning the Charger had turned off after it charged the battery. I put the key into the ignition, push the clutch in and tuned the key. ROOOM!!! My civic started up smother then if I had jumped it and from my sense it didn't seem like the accessories in the car had a difficult time to work. I have an amp for all the door speakers, 1 amp for the 12inch sub boasting a 500rms rating, an amp for the tweeters, and a capacitor. Oh and a double din 7 inch LCD screen too. All started up like there wasn't evidence of enormous current travelling all through the car to a stock battery lol. Anyways go get this ASAP. You don't even need to take your battery out of the car just connect the terminals and let it sit on the floor next to your car.

Worked like a champ!

I hadn't driven my vehicle in several weeks. Used an older battery charger, but the battery wouldn't maintain a charge. As soon as I got the Ampeak, I hooked it up to the battery. Ampeak advised the battery failed. So, I set it on "Recondition". Was a bit disappointed in the fact I couldn't find out how long the recondition would possibly take. Checked Google, but no answer. I left it on recondition for about four hours. I had to stop the recondition because the vehicle was outside and a storm was approaching. Disconnected, and ran battery test again. It showed 100%. Much to my delight, my car started easily. Two days later, and NO degradation of the battery. This purchase worked like a champ. Highly recommended!

Keep car battery heathier

My previous car battery died in less a year, mechanic guy said I didn't maintenance the battery well, if you don't drive car often enough, you need keep your battery charged, this charger did this job well, it's a smart charger, did the most jobs automatically, also have the protection in case you make some mistake while charging the battery, the charger is light weight, durable and really easy to use, helping my car battery live longer than the previous one :)

Best Charger in my garage

I have had many chargers in my life, all worked but simply applied power until the needle hit 0 amps indicating the battery was charged. However, even a poor battery could be charged which resulted in fully charged sulfated battery that would still have limited used. This charger has a intelligent "repair' mode that really works! It is light weight and very portable, top quality clamps and the cord is plenty long. It is fully automatic unless you select repair mode which switches to charge mode when done.

Works as advertised, easy set up

Had a battery that had been dead for about 2 weeks. Bought this baby and hooked it up... Set up and operation was self explanatory and I was up getting charged in no time. Left it on auto over night and came out in the morning to find it had switched over to standby as expected. The car started right up... Good charger, did everything I needed.
