Works as intended and relatively easy to use

I watched a youtube video on different gimbals out there, especially ones for beginners and this was was the choice for me based on price point and functionality. Pros: Fits well with my GoPro Hero 2018 Price isn't too steep Long battery life Nice little case Cons: The plastic portion makes you move with more care Changing modes was a little tricky for me

Bang for the Buck!

It's an awesome beginner's gimbal for sure. I wouldn't really get this for use with the Hero 7 Black, but for the others, YES. I have a Hero 4 Black as well and it does that it's job! A little restricted on the more extreme angles, but it's ok. Not too bad. Only thing I didn't really like about this is the plastic part that connects on front of the GoPro. Seems a little.....cheap like? But it is decent quality nonetheless, just be extra careful with that. Another thing I didn't like is the super high pitch that I can hear when I turn the device on. Some people can't hear it, but the ones who can? It's very noticeable. Great product overall.

UPDATE 5/13/19 The seller contacted me via email and relayed concern for my product and purchase. Like great business men they replaced my iSteadyPro. It was deemed that my other was defective and was sent back...I turned this one on...NO NOISE, NO SHAKES! 1000% SMOOTH! I am estatic because I am travelling and needed this item! It works So Smooth with my GoPro Hero 7!!!! I even ran up and down the street and its stability is AMAZING!!!! I am so glad they fixed my issue an am AMAZED by how good this stabalizer is at its Price point! THANK YOU HOHEM AND THANK YOU AMAZON! Excellent Customer Service and Product!!! UPDATE 5/12/19 I was contacted by the seller 3 days ago...so far no solution. In addition I noticed the unit was not fully charged..I charged it for 4hrs...put my new Go pro 7 in it...turned it on..Still Shaking and I still hear a loud noise. After holding it for say 5min amd tryna troubleshoot I noticed the handle began to get freakin hot! Then I smelled some burning odor. After 2 more minutes or so I just held the power button tryna turn it off....Nothing wouldnt turn off! So I held it tight...took out my Go pro and sat it on a bunch of towels while it shook itself to death and eventually turned off. Wow....Im at a lost for words and out 100 bucks! I'm sure mine is defective I purchased this item for an upcoming vacation in 3 days. Ive had it for 4 days and just opened the vox. Turned it on and the entire simple shakes so much u can literally see the vibration. It also makes a loud humming noise. I have frienda with handheld gimbals and they are quiet and smooth. I know mine is defective and I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I would NOT reccomend this product! Paid 100.00 for absolutely Nothing!!!

Amazing entry level gimbal!!

I am very impressed with the quality of this gimbal. It took me about 2 minutes to figure out how to properly place my gopro (hero 6) in the axis bracket, but after that, it was smooth sailing from there! I've never owned a gimbal before so I can't compare it to anything else, but the ease of use of this gimbal is excellent. I haven't yet downloaded the app so I haven't used any of those hotkeys yet, but for x/y axis control on the gimbal itself, I have to say, I'm quite pleased. I will be downloading the app soon and will follow up with a 2 month use. I have used the gimbal 3 times since I've gotten it and have had zero problems since. For the money, this can't be beat!

Great device. Wish I would have had it sooner in my YouTube career.

After a couple of months of use, I really like the way this gimbal improves my GoPro videos. I have used it in the most demanding environment, mounted in the front window of a vibrating light airplane on a shaky mount. It solved the problems I was having with unsatisfactory YouTube videos, It can be a little tricky at times getting the mechanism set right for the camera. My solution was to label "Up" and "Left" with a marker to make it easy to figure out in the field. It can get all twisted and upside down at times creating a very confusing situation when mounting the camera. Later I lost the female threaded "U-bolt" yoke that holds the camera. Easy to do. They should supply two of these. Or make it easy to get a replacement.

Great casual starter gimbal

I purchased this product and I am givin my honest review. This is a great beginners gimbal for new users as the price point compared to functionality cannot be beat. The gimbal does exactly what it is designed to do and that is stabilize your footage. This gimbal saved me from buying an expensive gimbal that does the same exact thing. Pros: Excellent price point. Excellent battery and power bank backup. Form factor and usability. Easy to use once you get familiar with how to use a gimbal as is with any gimbal. Comes with a mini tripod. LED battery indicator 25%50%75%100%. Hard shell carry case fits great in my camera bag. Cons: Initial calibration can be tricky is you are new to gimbals so don’t reposition the gimbal during calibration until the application tells you to do so.

Pretty impressive gimbal

I love this thing! It's the first gimbal I ever owned. I bought it for my GoPro Hero6 so I didn't have to buy a 7 with the stability feature. It took a long time to figure it out because the instructions aren't very clear and the app is barely in English. But between fiddling with buttons and watching YouTube videos, I figured it out and it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. I really don't believe its weather or extreme sport-proof, so i would go easy on it. But videos do come out very stable and I would definitely buy the same thing again if something happened to my gimbal.

Awesome Gimbal. Awesome features!!!

I like how light the unit is even with the gopro mounted. The gimbal is very smooth, very fluid and steady as the name implies. Pretty durable too because i do alot of outdoor recording and it is not flimsy as i thought it would be. The functionality is customizable per user. You can set parameters on your style of use or style of recording with the hohem app which is awesome to use and implement in to your recording style. Overall this product is excellent for me and my way of using it.

Great Value Stabilizer

I have been using this stabilizer with my GoPro Hero 5 and it has worked flawlessly so far. It is extremely quiet and completely steadies out the videos I have been taking. I have mainly been using it to take wake boarding/wakesurfing videos and they are coming out great. The battery life is great and it has held up to being dropped 4 feet. I have also gotten some water on it from the boat splashing up on waves and it held up fine. For the money you can't beat this Gimbal. My GoPro had gone unused because my iPhone X camera took more stable videos but now I use the GoPro again all the time.
