Exceeded My Expectations
I'm completely new to guitar. I've worked through the first few lessons at Justin Guitar using this instrument. That's the total of my expertise. Keeping that in mind here are my impressions: The guitar is working well for me just as it came out of the box. Based on a bit of internet research I expected I'd need to set-up the guitar before it would be playable. However, as nearly as I can make out it was well set-up at the factory. The neck looks okay, the tone is good, the action height seems reasonable. The fit and finish is good. It looks nice and feels nice. I haven't been hammering on it, of course, but for all the playing my fingers can tolerate it's been staying in tune. The pots and switch work and aren't loose or tight. At this point I have no complaints about the instrument at all. It seems ideal for my needs and budget. I've been pleased with the accessories, too. Mine came with a tremolo bar and a couple of Allen keys. They look the part but I haven't done anything with them. The included picks were 0.71mm. The cable works and looks and feels good. The capo works. There is a spare set of strings included. I haven't opened them. The practice amp meets my needs very well. It is tiny. The box is tiny, the cones are tiny. It's capable of putting out a clean or distorted noise that a quiet and intimate audience could hear. Clearly, it's not intended for playing to a crowd. I'm using it patched into my laptop and then into earphones. I can hear a lesson and my guitar at the same time at volumes of my choosing. For this, it's great. For some reason both the volume and distortion volume have an off position. Both need to be on in both modes. The tuner is the only bit that felt marginal to me. The display on mine is missing a couple of segments. The multi-function button has a bit of a bounce problem. It often switches modes when I turn it on. A long press is supposed to turn the display on and a short press is supposed to change modes. More often than not, when I go to turn it on it advances a mode or two before the screen comes up. So, it's not great, but it does work. All in all, I'm very pleased with this kit.

Outstanding value!
For the price point of this guitar I wasn't going into this purchase expecting a whole lot. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the packing alone. It was boxed very well and the guitar was well wrapped to prevent damage. The first thing I looked at was the neck. They don't state in the specs the radius but I am guessing it is at least a 12" radius. The strings were super high as most guitars come from the factory. I was able to get the action pretty low on both sides. A little less than a nickles width. That is generally how low I run all my guitar action. The neck quality is outstanding and the nut isn't bad. The only negative for me on the neck is the fret size. I like Jumbo or Medium Jumbo but these are all level and there is no buzzing. The frets are dressed nicely and there are no burs when sliding your hand down the neck. It came with 9's on it and a spare pack of strings. The guitar is comfortable to play and you should have no issues playing lead with the radius on this neck. This kit didn't leave anything out. The included turner was very easy to use and worked well. The mini amp is pretty cool. Charge it on your PC and rip away! The guitar cable that it came with is not the normal junk cable that comes with beginner level guitars. It is a good quality cable. I was even impressed with the included capo. It went on even and with good pressure and the guitar stayed in tune once it was on. Some capos you have to play around with the position on the neck. The good surface contact could be due to the radius of the neck. The guitar strap is more than adequate for the guitar and decent quality. All in all this is a great purchase for a beginner, it comes with everything a kid needs on Christmas day to rock out!!

Pretty Amazing Beginner Guitar Kit
Keep in mind that this is a beginner level guitar and not targeted toward guitarist that have been playing for years. That being said, I am actually really impressed with this guitar and the rest of the kit. Guitar: The materials are lesser grade (tuning heads, pickups, bridge etc.) as you expect on a beginner model guitar, but the overall its put together well. The neck is a bit more bulky than I would prefer, but it feels pretty good with a satin feel. The frets are dressed really well. I've several student level guitars and the frets usually dig into your hand, but that's not an issue with the Donner guitar. It also looks like it's even made from actually wood and not cheap plywood. I haven't taken off the pick guard to check though. Amp: The amp was much smaller than I had expected. I've included a picture of my iPhone 6 in front of it for reference. The distortion channel seems to only have one level of distortion, but the clean channel is pretty decent. It even has a built in battery and is extremely easy to pick it up and move to a different room (which is nice for the parents of aspiring guitarist). Accessories: The cable is good quality. I use Donner cables on my own pedal board. The tuner arrived broken, Donner quickly sent me a replacement. I was really impressed with their customer service. The capo is so good. I tried it out on a couple other guitars and it seems to work well. The strap, picks and strings are also good. Overall, this guitar kit is a really good value for the price. I've been playing guitar for 13 years now and actually found myself having fun playing this guitar. I would recommend this to a freind

Amazing package for the price!
Great Guitar and accessories! Packed very well, guitar sounds wonderful, right outta the box! Quick tuning, and your ready to roll. No complaints, just straight happy with this purchase! I haven’t played in over 30 years, so got this beginner guitar, and I can honestly say it sounds beautiful, looks beautiful. Great little amp, perfect for practice, not for performing. Don’t pass this up if your debating between othe guitars around this price point...a true bargain for what you get. Keep on Truckin’ my friends! Update (4/1/2019): I have played this guitar daily since I first opened it in Christmas morning (2018). I still stand firm with my review. Only two negative points to mention now that I have spent lots of time with my sunburst friend. Guitar goes out of tune fairly easily and often when playing, and sometimes while having it on the guitar stand I purchased for it. It’s still very manageable, but a little irritating at times. 2nd negative is the tone and switching between pick ups. When switching between certain tones, there is no change. Not a huge deal for me, but depending on what your playing, not having certain tones right where you want them can be a little annoying. Otherwise, this is still an amazing deal and perfect for any beginner or casual player looking for guitar (package) in this price range. Enjoy✌🏼

EXCELLENT STARTER GUITAR!!!
From the robust feel and weight, the spotless sunburst finish, the complete accessory kit, and mini amp, this package has EVERYTHING a beginner needs to get started. I am a public high school music teacher who has guitar classes and after testing it myself and passing it through a few of my students, I am convinced that this package is worth every penny. My students all said the feel and amp were great and that the accessory package has everything a beginner needs! They estimated the price of the kit from $150-350 so they were obviously impressed. The gig bag is adequate for transporting the guitar with all of its accessories in the front pocket. The amp is small enough to fit in a kid's hand too. The amp has adequate volume for isolated practice and has a distortion and clean channel, master volume, tone, and gain knobs to ice the cake! MP3 in, headphones out, and mini USB charging capabilities are the extra icing as well. Remember, keep realistic expectations for this guitar. It's not a pro guitar so you will have intonation issues despite setup, you may have slight imperfections, and the pickups won't be monstrous. However, for what it is and keeping reasonable expectations, this BEGINNER GUITAR KIT is a great start for new rockers!!

Very high quality for $129
This guitar was delivered yesterday. I have been playing guitar since I was in high school, circa 1980. Currently I have a 6 string fan fret bass, a very nice acoustic guitar, a 7 string fan fret electric, and 2 other 6 string electric guitars. To be honest, I bought this Donner guitar because I was thinking that if the Ebony fretboard neck was ok, and the screw holes were the same, I was going to swap necks with my first guitar. I was assuming that the neck alone might be worth it. Well, the screw holes measure same, and the distance from bridge to nut is same; those are not problems. The problem that I have encountered is that this Donner guitar stays in tune even when the tremolo is used; my 'sentimental' guitar, not so much. To be clear here; I needed to tune the guitar, play a bit and use tremolo, and repeat 5 or 6 times. This is not uncommon with new strings, at all. This guitar stayed in tune at this point using the tremolo and playing without bending notes. Once I started bending strings, they acted like all new strings do for several hours of playing with bends, they will not stay in tune. It takes time to properly break-in all strings, irrespective of price. As I said, this guitar has been in my possession less than a day, but I would buy again, and recommend it to family and friends (actual, present ones, not just 'platform friends'). The patch cord is good quality, tuner works well, 4 picks vary from light to heavy and are ... picks. The little amp works well and at 3x3x5 inches (75mm x 75mm x 130mm) is small beside my bigger amps, it sounds very good, and can produce some "attitude"; remember that by turning down the guitar output volume going into any amp can open up your sound / voicing. Enjoy

Great value for the beginning shredder
I play acoustic most of the time. I like to play for my kids to help them wind down at night before bed... but have been wanting to mess around with power chords and grinding out some heavier rock.... The Donner came through like a champ. Seriously can't believe everything you get at this price. Excellent deal.

I'm having a lot of fun with this guitar. It's great for a beginner, so easy to play and probably learn on. Comes with everything you need to have fun and make joyful noise!

Great Package For Beginner
I wanted to learn to play guitar at the ripe old age of 59, and saw a bunch of good reviews of this guitar here and on youtube, so decided to take a chance. I received the guitar in good condition. Had to tune the guitar, which was not surprising, and utilized the included guitar tuner, which I found a little difficult to use (sure it is me), so tuned it with Guitar Tuna app. The amplifier is perfect for me, as it is small and easy to take from room to room. The package itself includes guitar, bag, strap, tuner, extra strings, picks, capo. I have been playing it everyday since I received it. If you are looking for a good quality electric guitar to fiddle around with and see if it is something you want to continue to pursue, you can't go wrong.
