Expensive but quality from Razer.
I upgraded to a mechanical keyboard for the first time with this Razer Huntsman Elite and thought why not go with the latest and greatest. It's quick, I can type a lot faster and it just feels satisfying when you get the clicky response from the switches. Everything about the RGB with software to control it and customize it is great. No complaints about the keycaps they are just fine and if you wanna replace them for more quality keycaps you can easily. I have no complaints at all about this keyboard. I just gotta get use to how easy it is to click on it because I've been having some misclicks. The wrist rest is perfect for me and actually really comfy. I love that the RGB lighting was included with it. I do use both USB plugs so that the lighting works on it. I don't really have larger hands but I'm sure it'll be fine for most people. The lack of macro keys is really the only other thing anyone complains about the price point of this keyboard. To me that's a non-issue because I never used them anyways on my Razer Anansi you can just keybind commands to other keys like the dedicated audio even. I prefer the sleak look and minimalist design anyways it really makes the keyboard for me. No branding. Nothing extra around the sides. Great design IMO. Quality keyboard I plan to use for years to come. EDIT: If you're a cat owner be careful with the Ergonomic Wrist Rest. As with anything of that texture and puffiness feel to it kneading commences. My cats nails ripped it up pretty good while i was at work. It still works but you notice the spots when using it and it's annoying. Plus it don't look as nice. Just hide it if your keyboard tray retracts or put it in a shelf or somethin when not using the keyboard.

BUY THIS KEYBOARD
This simply an amazing keyboard. I have had this thing for over 2 months now and I can’t stop using it. There were 2 reasons I bought this: the AMAZING RBG LIGHTS and the equally great switches which feel both great to type on and play games on. The opto-mechanical switches are truly exactly the way Razer referrers to them. I previously had the Blackwidow Chroma V2 and it was great, but I did have the linear switch version which was not tactile at all. Also Razer does claim that the switches cause faster responses as they are triggered by lasers. This again is completely true. As far as Razer’s customer support is concerned, it was a perfect experience. I called after receiving my first keyboard which they told me after multiple tests was broken and I was sent a new one in a matter of one day. Overall this was a great keyboard and if you are willing to spend a good amount of money for a long lasting keyboard, this is the best option.

For any Razer or RGB Fanboy
*UPDATE* Had this keyboard for a couple months now and gotta say I love it. Haven't had any issues and it syncs perfectly with my other Razer products/software. So I got this keyboard since all of my other peripherals for my PC are Razer. The LEDs are bright (can dim/brighten to your liking) and the under glow that goes around all sides is a really nice touch. The keys are super clicky and responsive but maybe too loud for some people. I mean they are the loudest keys I've ever heard, which I don't mind.Would defiantly recommend to anyone who already has Razer products or doesn't mind dropping 200$ on a keyboard. Is it worth it? To me, yes. I like to have all my stuff match. So everything outside my PC is Razer. It;s a great brand with great products.

Fantastic
The cons are that it's pretty loud, is expensive, doesn't have a USB passthrough while still taking up 2 USB ports (1 is for the board and the lighting for the keys, the other is for the lighting on the border and for the wrist rest), and doesn't have macro keys. If you don't mind those things like me, then this is the best keyboard ever made. The lighting effects are, to put quite simply, dope. There is a ludicrous amount of customization with Razer's software for the RGB. Different effects, patterns, colors, speeds, frequencies, are all at your disposal. The crisp click of each key makes you feel like you're an old badass typewriting expert (If that's not a thing, then it is now). This is one of the few "gaming" mechanical keyboards that doesn't feature gigantic, silly letters. It is clean and sophisticated. The aluminum frame is cool to the touch and gives it a nice weight. Feels like pure class. The wrist rest is absurdly comfortable and soft. Luxurious. If you like to type, to game, and to look damn good while you do it then treat yourself to this awesome board.

Very expensive, but well worth it
You get what you pay for with this. I was hesitant on dropping this much on a keyboard at first. After using it for a few minutes I became very satisfied with my purchase. Good feedback from the keys, most comfortable wrist rest I've ever used & the lighting has so many options for customization. Razer really nailed it on this one. Only potential downside is the noise. I personally don't mind it, but it's quite loud & may be an issue for some out there.

Stop Complaining! It's a great keyboard!
A lot of people keep complaining about the "loudness" of the keyboard, and I would like to disagree with them. I have owned only Razer products myself for the past 6 years and I still have all my original keyboards, mice, headsets, etc. This keyboard is NOT loud like what everyone is saying. It's keystrokes are smooth, the sound is clicky just like any other mechanical keyboard, and it doesn't have the echoing metallic sound of the Blackwidow Ultimate that I own. I upgraded to this keyboard from the Razer Blackwidow Chroma v2 (yellow switches), so obviously there is a sound difference there, but let me tell you, it sounds AMAZING. I love the crisp clean sound of the keystrokes as I'm writing code. The keyboard feels sturdy, the lighting is beautiful, and I am one happy customer! The ONLY issue is the length of the keyboard and wrist rest is a little shorter without the macro keys, so sometimes I catch my wrist on my left hand getting some wrist rest imprints from the plastic which can be uncomfortable. Other than that small adjustment I have to get used to, the keyboard is perfect!

Was surprised on how much better this keyboard is than last gen
I have the Black Widow Chrome 2 and in all honestly these new switches feel so much better than their greens. Its a lot softer and take some getting use to but overall feel a lot better, Also a little quieter but have that same satisfying click. This keyboard doesn't bottom out either which I think is what is helping with the overall sound being quieter

Straight up amazing
This is a seriously badass keyboard setup. With the optical switches, there is a difference. If you play PUBG you will notice with looting and pulling up the menu or even opening doors. This got rid of any input lag that I could notice from my previous mechanical keyboard. It is pretty expensive but worth the money. I am happy to see that Razer has increased the quality on their products, because in previous products they were always harped on for their poor quality control or lack of finish, but I can say this is the perfect keyboard.

It's clicky and the keys work well.
None of the keys double click or misclick. The program for the keyboard takes some getting used to and not as intuitive as they would like you to believe. but its not enough to take a point away. I don't use them but there are some pretty nice fully customizeable color effects I had a problem where the keys stuck on press while booting up a week ago. I had to unplug and plug back in to fix the issue. It only happened once and hasn't happened since. It's still a 5 star product.

New and different, in a good way
I just received this keyboard 4 days ago and have been using it every night when I get home. Compared to other keyboards (membrane keyboard at work, previously Corsair K70 MX Brown) this one is certainly different. It feels smoother, quicker, and a LOT more comfortable. The wrist rest is really soft and I can keep my hands on the keyboard, typing for long periods of time. It is almost like typing on air compared to others. For gaming, I have played a couple of games, and I kind of miss having keys that push back a little, to feel like I am pushing down on a key when I game. That being said, this keyboard does not have that feeling at all. I'm just not used to it, even compared to Cherry MX reds... These switches just glide. Will take me a little bit more, but I can see myself getting to used to it, just not quite there yet. The thing that everyone talks about or asks about this keyboard... YES IT IS LOUD, even with a pair of audiophile cans on my head, they are loud. For keyboard typing, the clickity clackity of this keyboard is like a machine gun going off, but at a higher pitch. For gaming, I had to change the pads on my headset to firmer padding just to help dampen some of the noise, this didn't help much. If you are in a dorm room and you have a roommate, they will probably break your keyboard or you. If you are in an apartment, your neighbors will hate you... If you are in a house and have others that live there, be nice and sound dampen whatever room this keyboard is in!!! Oh, and the whole chroma, lights, and synapse is pretty cool to. Razer does need to fix the installation and set up of the program though, their installer is not an offline installer, it requires an Internet connection to download and install. If I don't update this review, it means I am loving this keyboard. If I update this review, something happened.
