• Faster Than Legacy Mechanical Switches: Razer Optical switches use light-based actuation, registering key presses at the speed of light (30% shorter actuation distance than other clicky switches at 1.5 mm) with satisfying, clicky feedback
  • Ultimate Personalization & Gaming Immersion with Razer Chroma: Fully syncs with popular games, Razer hardware, Philips Hue, and gear from 30+ partners; supports 16.8 million colors on individually backlit keys
  • Quality, Aluminum Construction: Covered with a matte, aluminum top frame for increased structural integrity
  • Fully Programmable Macros: Razer Hypershift allows for all keys and keypress combinations to be remapped to execute complex commands
  • Unrivalled Durability: Supports up to 100 million clicks with a 2 year manufacturer warranty, double the lifespan of most competitor keyboards

The cons are that it's pretty loud, is expensive, doesn't have a USB passthrough while still taking up 2 USB ports (1 is for the board and the lighting for the keys, the other is for the lighting on the border and for the wrist rest), and doesn't have macro keys. If you don't mind those things like me, then this is the best keyboard ever made. The lighting effects are, to put quite simply, dope. There is a ludicrous amount of customization with Razer's software for the RGB. Different effects, patterns, colors, speeds, frequencies, are all at your disposal. The crisp click of each key makes you feel like you're an old badass typewriting expert (If that's not a thing, then it is now). This is one of the few "gaming" mechanical keyboards that doesn't feature gigantic, silly letters. It is clean and sophisticated. The aluminum frame is cool to the touch and gives it a nice weight. Feels like pure class. The wrist rest is absurdly comfortable and soft. Luxurious. If you like to type, to game, and to look damn good while you do it then treat yourself to this awesome board.

Update 11/28/19 I deleted a bunch of the review that wasnt relevent as I have learned more about the keyboard/ software and lighting since owning it. I am able to keep a static color now that i uninstalled Synapse. On the 11/13/2019 update below(I deleted that update) I still had Synapse installed and at times I would open it and then disable it and that is why it was changing my colors. If I keep it deactived or uninstalled the keyboard remember my color even after a restart or waking from sleep. Update 11/11/2019 I found you can change colors via the Keyboard only using the FN and CTRL keys(hold both down) along with keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 keys(use these to change colors, strobe, etc). the #2 key(press FN and CTRL keys first, holding both down) is the one you use to cycle thru the static colors. It is not very intuitive but you will figure if you play with them. I happened to come across this watching a YouTube review and someone in the comments mentioned it. If Razer talks about how to do this I seemed to have missed it in the manual. After finding this out I would give the Razer KB a 5 and recommend it over the Steelseries TKL Omipoint. The Steelseries is nice but I prefer the Razer and the price of the Razer was $80 less when I purchased each one. The Razer was listed as used and in Acceptable shape with damage. But the damage was only on the packaging and the keyboard was like new inside the box. I have found a lot of products on Amazon listed as damaged it is only the packaging that is damaged and the product is in perfect condition. I have saved $200 EACH on some items like motherboards, GPU's and monitors buying the "damaged" item and inside it a like new product. Initial review: Very limited time with these devices so just some quick initial impressions. I have the new Viper Ultimate mouse and the Huntsman TE Keyboard and am having issue after issue with the software(Synapse). This will be kind of random as I will add feedback as I use the devices. I do really like the mouse and keyboard overall, they feel like high-quality materials it is just the software and not storing color profiles that is a BIG negative for me. I also have the new Steelseries Apex Pro TKL with the Omipoint switches and the switches are quite a bit smoother feeling to me. The Steelseries is MUCH quieter than the Razer, the Razer keyboard is LOUD. The Razer sounds cheap/clanky/hollow but feels very solid when typing or gaming on it. Also, the Steelseries can be used without any software installed and you can change settings directly via the keyboard. The Razer keycaps are much better quality "feeling" to me. They have a slightly textured and heavy/weighty feel verse the Steelsires smoother keycaps and light/hollow feel. If you are OK with having the Razer software installed and a REALLY LOUD keyboard I would go for the Razer over the Steelseries considering the price difference. To me, the Razer feels just as "fast" as the Steelseries with the Ominipoints adjusted to .4mm activation point. Both are very sensitive and you have to be careful if you rest you fingers on keys it is easy to "set them off". I am adding my review of the mouse here because Amazon won't let me post a review saying"Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews." I purchased the mouse directly from Razer's online store. But you need to install the software to deactivate the lights on the mouse and charging base. One big drawback is without the software you will have no way of telling the battery level without the software installed, not that I can see anyway. For comparison, I also have a g903, G203, Model 0 and Model 0-. I prefer them in this order Razer Viper Ultimate, G203, Model O-, Model 0 and G903 for gaming. For general desktop use, the G903 is hands-down the best/my favorite with the "hyper scroll".

The short: It’s a good sturdy keyboard, with amazing Purple switches and uncountable different customization options regarding the software and RGB. The good: It’s a very good and premium keyboard, one of Razer their best products as of today! Combined with the Razer Synapse software the keyboard is amazing. The quality of the keyboard is good with the hand rest being made from premium materials. Its amazing for gaming and is definitely the best of the best. The bad: It’s quite noisy (which is because it’s a mechanical keyboard), It’s quite pricey but Amazon has a good deal on it!

For starts, if you're not into noisy clicky keyboard then this is not for you (get the huntsman tournament edition that has a linear keys not noisy). Great quality. perfect for gaming and ergonomics. A little expensive but you will be paying for a high-quality long-lasting product so keep that in mind. Chroma looks amazing although a little dim. If you are looking for a bright color chroma effect then this is not your better option (for me it is since I don't like things to bright). Overall I really love this keyboard.

WORKS for Xbox One Tested on CoD and Fornite Heres my thoughts, i just purchase the Razer TE and Viper (works on Xbox one) but i am here to talk about the TE only. So the keyboard itself is very nice. To me the RGB doesn't have a crazy brightness to it which i personally like. The cord is a usb and the other end is UsB-C. The cord has a nice thick layer of nylon, very stiff. The keyboard is mid weight so not very light but built will some quality. The keys themsleves can be interchangeable but i dont think i will be doing so anytime soon. I did pull some off to see how it feels. I do feel like im gonna break it when im pulling it off but if you think it about if it was easy to pull off then it wasnt built right. Last thing is the sensitivity. If you have heavy hands/fingers then this is keyboard is not ment for you. The keys are very sensitive but quickly responsive which i like when gaming. You dont have to force any pressure when tapping the keys. The noise really depends on how you press the keys. If your game is aggressive then yes the noise will be loud and if your playing a MMO then its a soft noise. To me the noice doesnt bother me at all. The spacebar is the only key that has a separate sound. Its alot louder than the other keys when pressing rapidly or aggressively. Now are there better keyboards out there?, Yes of course. There was plenty of keyboards i researched but i settled for this one because of the quality, performance and price. It fits my needs. So do your research and find your own preferences and hopefully you'll find your perfect keyboard. Keyboard length 14" 1/4 Keyboard width 5" 1/2

The Razor Huntsman is an amazing keyboard for gaming and day to day life. Its fast response will keep you and your character ready for anything. These are some of the highpoints I have noticed from playing and researching this keyboard. The L.E. D’s will stay bright and shining for a little extra gamer flair. It has an amazing “click” to let you know its Opto mechanical. Me, as an extremely competitive gamer, loves the quick response time. The quality of this keyboard is really exquisite, Because of the firmness and the metal back board it makes this an extremely nice keyboard to game with. This keyboard is by far my favorite out of all of the keyboards I have owned. It has an amazing feel and texture to the keys making this keyboard feel and sound nice. It is easy to change the LED’s and to use. You can customize the keys which makes this a great keyboard for gaming or wanting a change of style. It’s L.E.D’s are bright yet best used in a dark room. This keyboard has an extremely reasonable price for what it offers in the gaming world. This is one of Razors greatest achievements and I definitely recommend this keyboard.

I've been trying to find the best keyboard for me for over a year now and I think I've finally found it. Full sized was too big (didn't need the numpad anyway), while the ultra compact keyboards felt too small. This is the perfect middle ground, giving you only what you need. I was briefly considering the full size version of this but I do travel often so having something portable like this helps tremendously. And what do you know, it fits like a glove in my roller bag with my ITX PC and other essentials I need to bring! For me, the keys were the hardest to get used to. Unfortunately, as far as I know, they only sell the "fast" key switches. These are not the best for me as I'm the type to give their keyboard a thrashing when typing. In other words, I'm not a light typist. That being said, I do love the sound they make! Software for the keyboard was fine, particularly Chroma. I went in, changed the colors, went out. Was an alright experience. All in all, great keyboard. I just hope Razer eventually makes a white version of this and one with different switches. I recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect balance between ultra compact and full size mechanical keyboards.

I’ll be the first to admit that not all of razer products are home runs, but they take chances and in most instances it pays off. The keyboard itself is built tough, it’s very rigid with some nice weight to it. It has superb rgb, and functionality. It’s also much sleeker than a lot of the last gen “gamerz” gear with a nice combination of sleek minimalism and rgb/gaming functionality. The keys are clicky but a very different click than the blue switches. It’s almost like a subtle brown with the clicks of a blue. The rgb and synapse played well and I was up and running in 10 mins. Synapse is one of the few companies reaching across the aisle and getting other companies synchronized (Philips, thermaltake). My biggest gripe is the non standard key layout which renders some key cap set that I have useless, unless I mix and match. Overall, a very very good keyboard and I hope I don't have to deal with razer CS as its usually a pain.

So the first time I bought this mat, I tried the light silver one, cause it matched my new keyboard. That thing was terrible, you even glance in its direction and it got dirty. The gray rubber feet of my brand new coordinating silver Razer keyboard made marks on it. TERRIBLE product. So I sent it back. I replaced it with the same product but the Gears of War edition. I wish Razer would do more Multi-color pads like this one. It's splotches of gray and black and everything in between. So even if my keyboard feet ARE making marks on it, the pattern of the mat makes all marks look intentional. I've read a lot of reviews where people got a product with ripples in the light strip, or dead spots. Mine arrived in pretty perfect condition but it's pretty picky about alignment. If it gets pulled even slightly to one corner or the other, ripples start. It's really easy to smooth them back out again. It's a weird mat cause the central area is so pliable but the light strip is pretty rigid, so and little misalignment tends to show in the flatness of the light strip. One tiny issue that bugs me about the mat is that there are two slightly faded spots on the light strip right in front. It looks like maybe it got pinched or crushed a tiny bit. Light still shows through, it's just dulled there, like little irregularly shaped shadows. It's a very minor flaw. I also noticed that at the back of the mat, where the fabric meets the light strip, it's uneven in several places. It's the same way all around the mat, but the angle of viewing makes it less noticeable in the front. All in all, it's a very nice product with an acceptable level of quality. And as an added perk, it can be set to coordinate lighting colors/effects with your other Razer devices through the Razer software.

I've been PC gaming for almost 13 years and have been working in an office programing environment for 5. I have never thought once about switching from a wireless "mushy" keyboard (logitech mk700/710) to a wired mechanical one. Having used this keyboard for a few days now I can honestly say that typing and gaming has brought so much more joy when using my PC. The Razer synapse software was easy enough to configure and out the box I think most people will be happy with the pre-configured settings. I personally remapped my f1,f2,f3 keys to adjust volume so I don't have to hit the fn key whenever I want to adjust my volume. I also changed the lighting effect of the keys to "Reactive" so the key I hit lights up for half a second when I hit the key. Another nice touch with this keyboard is that certain games such as OverWatch will have pre configured lighting profiles so when I'm in a match my keyboard will turn orange and the certain keys like WSAD will turn blue. It's a nice touch that provides a more immersive experience while gaming. My wife does complain that these keys are much louder than my old keyboard and I do wish the huntsman came with a wrist rest. However I love the tactile feeling of typing and knowing what keys I'm pressing due to the audible sound and feedback. I don't think I'll be switching back to a mushy keyboard any time soon.
