The game is exactly what I've been wanting from a Star Wars game. It's a little Uncharted mixed with a little God of War set in the Star Wars universe. The only bad thing is that I pre-ordered from Amazon and didn't get the pre-order bonuses. They are just cosmetics but I don't like being cheated. I won't be pre-ordering any games in the future but it did arrive on street date.

The game looks and plays great, with a solid story and satisfying gameplay loop. Amazon, somewhat unsurprisingly, did not send out pre-order bonus codes to seemingly any of their customers. I'll be wary of pre-ordering from Amazon again in the future.

OK, not sure what people are complaining about, starts slow but then picks up. I am having a BLAST, very enjoyable, currently on my 3rd planet and it just keeps getting better, skill tree is expanding and my skills with it. Sure there are few issues here and there, but unfortunately this is expected because its not PS4 exclusive, hopefully next update will fix some of them. Sound cuts out sometimes, there are certain moment when game loads and screen is pitch black, but overall not too bad. Size, scope amount of stuff to do, ability to explore same areas as skills expand etc. great. I am a fan of Star Wars and I am not disappointed at all.

I'm not even finished it yet, but it's truly amazing. It FEELS Star Wars. It's incredible. Graphics, story, combat.... it's a true gem. It gives me back the Star Wars FEELS which I had lost with the latest Movie (and the upcoming one). There is some framerate issues on some of the more fauna dense planet if you're playing on a regular PS4... but it's not that big a deal. I'm having a blast and it gets better as you go when you unlock force moves. The ability to force pull and impale a storm trooper...... sweet mooglie booglie, I'm in heaven!!! Haven't had this much fun since Force Unleashed!!! If you are REMOTELY a Star Wars fan... buy this now... if only to support the continued development of single player star wars games. EA Bad. But Respawn did well with this game. They deserve credit and support. Show EA that people DO WANT SINGLE PLAYER GAMES LIKE THIS. Buy It Now!!!!

If you are looking for a challenging and fun action/adventure game set in the Star Wars universe, this game is for you. The thing I like most about Fallen Order is that it's not a hack n slash game and it has a great story. The combat is designed based on how an actual Jedi would fight, which is by using parrying and dodging with the lightsaber and using the force. The game forces you to think in combat which is what a Jedi would do. A Jedi wouldn't go into a fight just swinging the lightsaber all crazy. The game is decent length, I put in about 23+ hrs to finish the game, but I didn't collect everything or explore each planet 100%. Some will think the game is short, but I think it's a great length for this type of game without all the fluff of fetch quest and pointless quest other semi-open world games put in games just to pad the gameplay hours. Story can be done in like 15 hrs depending on how you play and easily 20+ hours if you take the time to explore the planets (collectables with lore, lightsaber customization, BD-1 and Cal appearance customization, and mini bosses). So they are things to do outside of main path story missions if you want it. This game length is comparable to Batman Arkham City. Great game. One of the best of 2019. Can't wait to see what they do for the sequel... Also don't listen to these 1, 2, or 3 star reviews ratings just because they didn't get a pre-order bonus. The game itself is atleast 4 stars. 5 stars in my book.

This game, I was a little wary about when it came to fighting with complicated controls and the game sounding a lot like mortal kombat which is the hardest game I have ever played. When I received the game, I was excited to play it and very hopeful that the game was great since I preordered it 3 weeks earlier. When I got around to playing the game itself, it was so much fun, I loved the fighting styles, the actual intensity of every fight which put you in the characters shoes, the timing to parry the AI's attacks was absolutely amazing, it made you really feel like you were playing the character. Basically, this game is so fun to play, I really like the fighting mechanics, the story itself is amazing and the fact that there is no "play to win" mechanics, or just multiplayer in general is great too since I live in a location that doesn't allow me to play online with others, but anyways the fact that I thought this game was a total reck changed in a matter of two minutes. I would definitely recommend this game, and don't get mad at the game just because you keep dying, practice makes perfect I always say. The only downside to this game that I didn't like is the loading screen, it takes almost a minute to revive your character which I think is unfair because in order for you to be in-depth with a video game, you have to keep playing it and the fact to wait for you to revive when you die is definitely not a good trait in a video game so that is the only advice I have for the developers, but other than that this game was the best, I would give it a 10/10 even for that downside. I hope you liked my review and If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

I cannot believe this game came from EA! I was very skeptical about this game because let’s face it EA have no good track record with Star Wars games or games at all for that matter! I see people complaining that is a maze game.... or that is terrible both are false! It’s a mix of tomb raider, uncharted and Star Wars.... yeah sounds like it’s not a good mix but somehow it works! It’s all about character progression and if you play in Jedi or above the game is like a Star Wars dark souls but with the exception that it actually has an easy mode if you are just in it for the story which is really good since it was written my the same writer of the uncharted games. The game is not disappointing at all! It’s right down my alley! People complain about not getting pre order bonus.... yeah I was about to complain about that the day I got the game.... however instead of just blaming amazon I looked in my junk inbox in my email and there it was! So don’t be hasty in complaining for not getting codes if you don’t look! I enjoy the game and I am sure other do too!

It all started out well enough, I got this as a 3rd anniversary present for my husband as it is the "crystal anniversary ." "Happy anniversary" I said, "I got you a kyber crystal" I joke and he accepted his gift with glee. When selecting his level, he was about to pick Jedi Knight (medium) and I jokingly referred to him as a derogatory term for female genitalia. Enraged, he selected the hard level, Jedi Master. He struggled through the game for a month before I got a chance to play. This is where things started to get ugly. I selected the Jedi Knight level for my playthrough. On the second day, my husband watched me make my way through the base where I came upon an electrostaff purge trooper. He started to give me the "oh man, this will take you a few tries. You're going to die." When I took one swipe at the enemy and force pushed them off the bridge. Literally a 2 second fight. " You cant do that!" He exclaimed indignantly "it's because you're on story mode!." But I'm not on story mode. "Well you cant do that on the level I'm on!" Maybe you can, you just didn't think to do it. He sat there stewing for a half hour before I paused the game to go to the bathroom. When I returned, the game controller was in his hands. What did you do? "Nothing" he shrugs "maybe you should go fight that Jotaz though." I attempt to fight the beast several times, and though always just shy of killing it, I am never successful. I check my level settings and they have been changed to Grand Jedi Master, the max difficulty, well beyond both our skill level. Such pettiness, such deceit, from the man I married. The next day as he plays, he fights a bounty hunter and a droid on Dathomir. As he is slain, the droid looms over his corpse and spits "ha, some jedi". Enraged, he quits for the day. I see this opportunity for my revenge. Randmonly throughout the day, be it passing by each other, while he's grabbing the mail, when he's on the toilet I say "ha, some jedi" with the same disdain as the droid. It hits him where it hurts. I spread the magic phrase at work to our coworkers in secret. One day, while at the copier, my husband drops a paper. As he reaches down, a pair of shoes appears and when he looks up, he sees one of his coworkers looming over him. "Ha, some jedi." Anyway, now were getting a divorce. Great game, 5/5, would recommend.

Never thought I would see another good single-player Star Wars game from EA but I'm very happy to be proven wrong. Gameplay is comparable to Sekiro but some mechanics, such as dodging, aren't quite as fluid. Even so once you master them it really makes you feel like a Jedi when you can take down 8 Stormtroopers at once while reflecting blaster bolts and using the force to control the flow of combat. All items you find in-game are cosmetic such as lightsaber parts, clothing items for Cal, and skins for BD-1 and your ship. None of these have any impact on gameplay but are fun to seek out. Bad stuff: Some errors still need to be fixed causing the game to crash, however I've been playing practically nonstop for the last 3 days and have had maybe one crash every 6 hours. If you play on a more moderate schedule you may not experience these at all. The biggest complaint I have is load times, especially on respawns. The game regularly takes more than 30-seconds to reload the game when you respawn after being defeated and once I had to wait 2-minutes to load back in. I've managed to avoid dying too many times on normal difficulty so this hasn't been too bad but these load times would be extremely frustrating on harder modes. Overall, this game is a must-purchase for anyone who has been itching to play a new single-player Star Wars title. Here's hoping it is the first of many more to come.

TL;DR - awesome game, I received my pre-order code via email shortly after the order, super fun to play. There are some reviews complaining about the game being a gigantic maze or difficult to navigate, no fast travel, etc. 1. the maps are huge, and you should take the time to understand the maps and learn how to navigate them. You can’t really get by without understanding that. 2. Show me a Star Wars scene where someone fast travels/teleports. Star Wars, not Star Trek. I appreciated them not adding b.s. like that, especially if it’s meant to be canonical, they can’t add crap like that. Star Wars diehards would rip them apart. This is a tough game on the upper difficulties. Timing is huge, and you cannot hope to beat this game on anything but the easiest “story” difficulty if you do not take the time to figure out how to Parry and Dodge. Once you get the hang of it though and unlock some additional skills, it is an absolute blast. You can sprint through and absolutely wreck enemies with your abilities. There are tons of cool animations and cinematic effects that just really make you feel like a Jedi badass. Star Wars fan aside, it’s a great game with lots of control and a bit of a learning curve. Think Assassin’s Creed meets Star Wars with a little bit of God of War (2018) open-worldness, and you have the Fallen Order.
