Based on other reviews, I was expecting to have to sand this down and file out the keyway. But I did not have to do any of that. This slid right on with a snug fit and put my crank in the exact right spot. I'm glad we didn't have to guess at it. Even though we were doing this job once, it was worth the price.

I just finished installing timing chains, tensioners, VCT solenoids and oil pump in my 2009 F250. These tools worked perfectly and fit perfectly with no modifications. The crankshaft positioning tool slid over the crankshaft keyway as it was supposed to do. I was somewhat concerned with these tools being a little less expensive than other brands but I'm glad I bought these because they worked great. Don't hesitate to buy these if you have a 3 valve 5.4L. However, I can't verify if they work on another size engine like a 4.6 so make sure the tools you purchase explicitly say they will work on your engine.

Worth every penny. It definitely helped with the job at hand.

This tool is a must when replacing the cam phaser. It will hold the phase in place while you torque the bolt to spec. And turn it Additional 90°. I got away without using the crankshaft alignment tool, but this tool is really handy

Popped right into the space between the chain and held it tight while I pulled the phaser and camshaft out for maintenance. Stayed locked into place for several days while I waited on other parts to come in. 5.4l 3 valve triton

These 2 tools make a hard job easy. The crank locator is mandatory, or should be. The cam lock, while not mandatory if you have good air tools, is useful as well.
