Still amazed at six months
This was my first smart bulb and I'm thrilled with it. It works perfectly after six months of daily use. I have regular on and off timers set for each day, and I love the sunrise feature where the brightness gradually increases. In general, I keep the bulb on a warm white, but have used some of the fun color settings by picking a color manually and using the camera feature (look at an item that is the color you want the bulb to use - very space-age). And of course, if I leave a light on, it sure is nice to turn it off without getting out of bed. Also, the app is easy to use, and takes up less than 13 MB on my phone.

My living room is now gorgeous at night!
I love these bulbs! They allow one to program truly slow fades (although you've got to use multiple iterations of the same colors to make them actually slow enough; why do Chinese engineers assume we want epilepsy-inducing speed? They probably just assume that Americans are nuts, and want everything bigger-faster-brighter;). They also network easily, so you can activate the same program of fades or colors on a bunch at once. They do NOT allow the creation of coordinated, sweeping scenes like Hue bulbs do. But they cost about 1/3 the price, so I'll take it. Obviously at a 40w equivalent, they're not going to provide noticeable colors in daylight. I think the illumination of three together is perfect for evenings, because less light allows your brain to relax and get ready for sleep; and parties and romance benefit from mood lighting. But they're not as bright as standard bulbs.

Affordable alternative to sunrise alarm clocks with SO MANY MORE FEATURES
The original reason I wanted to purchase this bulb was to make a more affordable sunrise alarm clock. It has proven to be so useful in so many other ways, I immediately ordered 2 more bulbs after setting up my first bulb. • Incredibly easy setup, just screw it into your lamp, download the app, and then follow the guided instructions on the app. • The app is very straightforward and easy to use. It has so many features that allow to you control the atmosphere of your room without leaving the comfort of your seat. **It also saves the last settings you set before closing the app on your phone, so you don’t have to keep the app open all the time to use the bulbs! • Sunrise/Sunset timer - much more afforable than a $100 sunrise alarm clock, you can set multiple alarms with different settings (brightness/intervals/days of the week) which is a setting that most of the alarm clocks don’t have, and since it’s silent, you can have your own alarms on your phone to make noise or just wake up naturally without an alarm sound. •Turning on lights remotely - I live in an apartment where there are minimal ceiling lights and none of the switches for them are near entrances, so being able to turn lights on before coming home makes it so much more convenient without stumbling in the dark. This is also helpful if it starts to get darker earlier in the winter before you get home and you want to provide some light for your pets while you’re not home. • Affordable alternative to lamp timers to deter home intruders when you’re not home. • Mood lighting - using this with lower brightness and a soft colored glow definitely helps you to relax and start to get tired before bed. You can sit in bed and adjust the settings without hassle. I’m definitely never buying a regular lightbulb again after experiencing the convenience of these bulbs. I would definitely love to replace all the bulbs in my home with these and highly recommended them to everyone.

Works perfectly, Highly recommend MagicLight

Awesome
These are so cool. I got two for our bedside lamps and immediately had them programmed for both sunrise and sunset. It was insanely easy to install them and link them to my phone (pro tip: if it says there's trouble connecting that first time, turn off your mobile data. I had to for both bulbs.) Once set up, they've been great. Even when we accidentally disconnected the light from the power source, it didn't mess up the settings or connection. It seems like a small thing, but having a light coming on when I get up in the morning is really helpful in combatting the wintertime darkness blues. Strongly recommend!

So far everything is working like it should
So far I own 8 of the Magic Light Wifi Pro (80w) Bulbs and 6 of the Magic Light Standard (60w) Bulbs. I have them fashioned throughout the main rooms of the house. So far everything is working like it should. I had an issue with a couple of the bulbs being DOA, but customer support was able to refund/replace the bulbs quickly while reimbursing the shipping. Other then that, the bulbs are pretty durable. It withstood -10F in the winter and 110F in the summer. One of the features I like the most is the set-time. Before smart bulbs, I had to use an analog timer outlet switcher to turn the lights on and off and only at two times of the day. Now, I can set the time from the app, either in groups or individuals for up to six times of the day. So far it's nice; from 6am to 9am, the bulbs are in "Cool White" mode and all the other times they're in "Warm White" mode. Sometimes I'll set the bulbs to 2000k at night time to replicate an "Incandescent" bulbs. If you need more time slots, the Alexa or IFTTT can add more. The interface for everything is great, with a color wheel and a RGB box for specifying varying colors. Setting it up with the Amazon Echo was simple; just download the Magic Light Skill and start discovering the devices on you network. Before the newest Alexa update, you would say "Alexa, turn off the Bedroom Lights," and she would turn them off. After the update, you can specify a group of bulbs for a specific echo to trigger without having to specify the room name. I can now say, "turn off the lights" and if the Bedroom Echo hears it, it turns the Bedroom Lights off, if the Kitchen Echo hears it, it turns the Kitchen lights off, etc. You can also ask Alexa to turn the lights to any color and she'll change them, even to weird colors like Periwinkle. The bulbs also works with IFTTT, which allows you to trigger the bulbs in interesting or different ways. I have the Kitchen and Living Rooms lights to turn on if IFTTT detects I'm getting close to the house (uses the GPS on my phone). I haven't played around with IFTTT much, but every time I use it, there are more triggers and commands added. The one thing I would like the Magic Light IFTTT to add is to group certain bulbs together instead of having to create an Applet function for each and every bulb. My wish list for any future Magic Light Bulbs would be to add E12 socket types (20w or 40w equivalent). I was able to find a light strip that was compatible with the app, but I don't think it was made by this company (Nexlux Light Strip). The Nexlux Light Strip didn't have warm-white LEDs, so here's hoping that Magic Light will come out with a RGB/WW light strip in the future so I can mount them underneath the Kitchen Cupboards and Pantry Shelves. I'll be getting more of the Magic Light Wifi Pro (80w) Bulbs for the Hallways and Garage, I just first need to mount the appropriate fixtures. I also plan on incorporating more of these bulbs for xeriscape yard light fixtures.

Initial tests look great...
I plan to use eighteen of these devices to control multiple RGB light strings on large props for our high school marching band field show. My preliminary test, connected to two devices, went great. At this point, I have these suggestions for users: 1) Watch the setup video on the MagicLight YouTube channel before you download or power up anything. It's a great resource... simple, clear, and helpful with no annoying background music or sales pitch. It only takes six minutes of you time and it'll save more than that by getting you up and running without headaches. 2) Ignore the QR codes on the little card included with the controller. Instead, use the MagicLight WF app recommended in the video. I first tried the MagicHome Pro app from the QR code and had connection problems. Though the screens look identical, I found MagicLight much more helpful and intuitive, particularly for initial process of connecting to the controllers. I'm using a dedicated, no-Internet hotspot for the project and during the connection process the app handled the switchover from my home WiFi to the dedicated hotspot with no problem. 3) There's no power supply included so you'll need add one. Most sets come with 12VDC 2A power supplies, which will power the controller and a single 16.5' light string easily. You can probably push it and connect two strings end to end but for that I would suggest a 5A power supply for better results. Beyond two strings, you'll start to see variations in color due to voltage drop regardless amperage, so you'll need to use a signal amplifier for every two additional strings. For now, that's all I have. Once I see how well this whole project goes, I'll come back with more details.

Fantastic and you can connect multiple bulbs in synchrony
Great bulb, easy to connect and the app is very intuitive. I have one over my garage and one by my front door and I have them set to come on at the same time in exactly the same luscious GREEN color for Christmas (I changed the green from the color in the photo). I then have the app timer set to dim them all the way to off slowly, over a ten minute period at 11 pm. The possibilities are virtually endless. At Easter, I'll have them turn pink...ON July Fourth I'll have RED and BLUE, Halloween will be ORANGE...heck, I'm like the Empire State Building of my neighborhood...AND I can turn them off or on or any color from anywhere in the world over WiFi! WHhaaaatt??!! So cool

Happy w/ the WiFi Version
I initially ordered the Bluetooth version of this bulb and wasn't happy due to connectivity issues. The app used for those bulbs, I believe is "Magiclight BT". The bulbs had no issues connecting initially but thereafter I constantly had to reset the connection by manually turning my lights off and then on to be recognized by the app again. It was a nuisance. I then realized what I actually wanted was the WiFi bulbs so that I can control the lights when I'm not home so I exchanged for the wifi bulbs when they managed to get the 80w back in stock. I'm extremely happy. I haven't had any issues with connectivity. It was a bit confusing to connect at first as the app first connects the bulb to your phone as if it itself is the network and then connects the bulb to your wifi. This happened with both bulbs and was confusing because when this was happening, it made my phone look like it didn't have a wifi connection - until the bulb connected to my wifi, then everything was good. The app these bulbs connect to is "Magiclight WF v2". Really happy with the bulbs and the app. Highly recommend.

Awesome smart bulbs, great features.
Never written an Amazon review before but wanted to for these. These bulbs are awesome. I was a bit skeptical buying them since they were so cheap but the reviews were great so I thought I'd give them a shot. Bought 4 for my room to go along with my Google Home, 3 for my ceiling fan and 1 for my lamp. They all sync together very well and look awesome. The brightness is perfect for my room, although they could be slightly brighter (my old lights were). The app works great and has tons of features that all work awesome. The microphone option is awesome for playing music to have the lights all sync to. It looks awesome in a dark room at night and is a really fun feature to have to go along with some good, loud, upbeat music! One of the bulbs made a very very slight high pitched noise when the lights were "off," so I reached out to customer support asking what it was and very quickly received an email back along with a refund for the one bulb, no questions asked. Absolutely awesome customer service, price, and product. If they continue to perform well I'll definitely be buying more!
