It works! It is reasonably stout, but not so heavy that it could not be broken into, but we placed it behind a locked door. I like that it is locked with a combination, so you don't have to find the key to retrieve a key!

Exactly what you would expect

I bought this to manage quite a few keys. It's not the highest quality but the price was right. If security is more your focus I would go with something much more expensive. We had this behind a locked door and were more interested in organizing keys so it worked perfect.
