Just what I needed

I recently had gotten a new laptop, and as they are these days, did not have a CD-rom. I have a bunch of CDs that I needed to rip and this did just the trick. Very happy. The vibration from the spinning disk makes it scoot a bit across the desk, so just make sure it's not on the edge.

piece of cake to use

This device is small, so it is easily transportable. However, it is a little powerhouse. It is smooth, quiet and fast. It is truly plug-and-play. There is no software to download. Upon receipt of the device, I simply unwrapped it, plugged in the USB cord to my computer and the dialogue box popped up telling me where to put the items I wanted to burn to the CD. The transfer was over in no time. The beauty of this device is that it can be used on any computer with USB ports. I would recommend this item to all who have a computer, even if you have a CD/DVD drive. You never know when you might need a back up. This is the one to get.

Works great!

This was such a great idea! I really needed to get some pictures off of an old cd and had no way to load them onto my new laptop because it doesn't have a cd drive. This came in handy and is a perfect size. This fit in the pouch for my laptop and will travel with me wherever I go now.

The cd burner is excellent. It's lightweight, so it's very portable. I have a notbook without a cd drive so this external burner is very convenient and worth the money.

Perfect if you want an external portable cd/dvd drive

The external cd/dvd drive worked as described. Compared to an internal cd/dvd drive, it works slightly slower, but that is expected. The cable is attached to the drive and held on the bottom of the drive when the drive is not in use. The cable length is about half a foot, so the drive will be close to the usb port. Sometimes when a cd/dvd is in the drive, the drive may move from the vibrations, so watch it carefully. This is a good if you need a portable cd/dvd drive.

Beyond expectation

The outer packing of this drive is really good. Great slim little drive, it worked with my laptop perfectly and the price is acceptable. Excellent purchase and value for money.

Very useful, affordable drive

This is a great solution to a common problem. I recently upgraded my laptop to one that doesn't have a disk drive. That is the case with most new laptops. I still have several CDs and DVD in my collection that I want to make more available from my computer so I'm using it to rip those onto my new computer. It's very efficient and convenient and works as a plug and play divice with no software or drivers to load!
