Easy Set Up

if you want to be able to get in your hammock quickly...straps are the way to go...wrap it around the tree clip the hammock to one of the loops and bang your done...plus with all the loops you can adjust how much sag you want in your hammock the only thing might be the weight ...if you are into the ultra lite hiking these had some weight to them...I might look into something lighter...but for easy of use it's ano brainer

Bought these for our survival/emergency packs which came with hammocks but without the straps. I'm super happy with them. They take up very little space in our packs. Maybe a bit bigger than a hockey puck and about the same weight. They're very intuitive to use and don't require hardware to attach to the tree. Great design - simple and effective. I also love how long they are so you have a lot of leeway when choosing two trees on how far apart they are.

Great straps!

I must have been living under a rock, because i recently discovered hammock straps. They are a total game changer! I have never used them in a camping setting. But they have held up great for use in my backyard! We usually have more than one person, or a few kids in the hammock, and I haven’t been worried at all about them breaking. I’m planning on buying a few more sets for our other hammocks.

Better for the tree and better for me

Excellent quality in a nice tight package. I could probbably stuff them into my hammock bag itself if i wanted to. Hammock straps are healthier for the trees. Although it is not necessary , I still also use sticks under my hammock straps just to further minimize my impact on the environment. Friction and pressure can kill a tree years down the road and if too many people kill trees, more and more rules will ban our hammocks from use. These straps dont stretch and unlike rope; they dont make funny noises when weight is put on them.

Took these camping several times over the summer

I bought 2 pairs of these to go with my ENO DBL Nest Hammock when I went camping in the summer. I bought 2 because the trees in Oregon Forrests are thick. I looked around, including REI and for the price these seemed to be reasonable compared to others. I liked these also because of the triple stitching and the length. These held up nicely when I went camping. I did a weight test with two grown adults 150lbs each and it didn't feel loose or like it would give at any time. It was very sturdy. I've used them several more times after that camping trip and have recommended them to friends. I would definitely recommend these to who ever is looking for nice durable hammock straps. It would be nice however if there were a longer set for those of us who live in areas with thicker trees.

Works

Bought these for my oldest boy. At a hefty 90lbs I am sure these straps will never break on him. Seem to be constructed of the same material of the more expensive name brand that I have. I do like the longer straps as they open up the area he can hang his hammock from on backpacking trips.

Love them. I live in Chicago by the lake and there's a park and I always wanted to lounge around in a hammock looking at the Lake Michigan. Since there aren't that many trees along lake and they're spread out, I was worried I wasn't going to find 2 trees close enough for me to hang the hammock. Luckily, the straps were longer than I thought and having so many loops helped me adjust the hammock...

Just tried these out today and instantly fell in love with them. So easy to use. Wrap it around the tree... slide the rope with all the loops through the first loop and hang your hamock up on the length desired. Did not hurt the tree at all. Very small and easy to store with my hamock. Felt very safe using them as they could easily hold my 230 pounds. I personally like hanging my hamock up between trees further apart as it tends to give you more swinging action. These ropes make that possible. Great product. Highly recommended.

Make hammock life easier

I got a hammock last year that came with ropes to tie it up, and I've been using them until now. My friend came over with a hammock and had the Eno XL straps and it made tying the hammock up look much easier, so I decided to try these since they're under half the price of the other ones. They work GREAT!! I love them. I cant tie my hammock up in no time and the notches are perfect for getting the hammock in just the right position, even if the trees are a little far away. I will be buying these for all of my hammocks.

Like it or not, knots are not for me....

I bought a Forbidden Road Hammock that advertised ropes included! Only to find out the "ropes" were just a pair of straps.... Plain old flat straps..... No rings, no loops, no hooks, no instructions...Nothing! But hey…it was only $14 for a hammock that could fit in a backpack. Now I'm no boy scout, but I am an intelligent, adventurous, well-educated computer nerd with a teachable spirit and a will to learn something new! So I did some google research to find out how to secure hammock straps to a tree! I learned about the backpacker hitch, bowlines, taut line hitches and after about 30 minutes of tying knots that I wouldn't trust to hold a squirrel I said to myself "How about I buy something instead?!" These straps are fantastic. Not only does it make it very easy to attach to trees, but with the long lengths available I had much more options for trees that are really far apart or in the case of my first trip with them…really WIDE trees. The short "rope" (aka useless black straps) that came with the hammock wouldn't have allowed me to use the hammock where I did. They would have been too small even if I had spent my childhood in the boy scouts and knew how to tie a proper knot. I had my hammock up at our camp site in 2 minutes....and it held more weight than it probably should have. Toss both ends around the tree, feed through the first loop to secure it to the tree and pick the appropriate second loop for a proper height for you hammock and clip it on. Done. It almost costs as much as my parachute hammock, but worth every penny. I bought the 20+1 without the carabiners since my hammock had them build in. The 16+1 would have been sufficient but I like the extra 200lb and 4 loops in case a bear wanted to use it while we were away from the campsite.
