Great 8 year old girl gift

It’s like Polly Pocket. The only thing that was frustrating is if you lose the code to get in then it’s locked until you can guess it. Great gift for a little girl. Small pieces so it wouldn’t be appropriate for a child under 5.

Glitter!

Love these sets. I received one with the glitter coating inside, it's too adorable. Perfect for a child or a collector. Well made, much better than the new PPs. I hope they keep making these, I have every one so far.

NOTE: The code is printed on the back of the compact so you never lose it! We love these Shopkins mini compact playsets! We own several and have begun collecting them as part of our miniature world. They are more like the vintage Polly Pocket sets than the newly released Polly Pocket sets. We have found them to be sturdy and the play value is endless! The colorful compacts have so much detail. The inspire imaginative and cooperative play. Great for travel! Yes, they are small. I would recommend these for ages 4-6, but let’s face it, I love them too! Obviously, a much larger age range will love the Shopkins compacts! The younger girls just seem to love them. They love locking their playset and having the secret code!

Cute but unrealistic play world.

These are cute, and more reminiscent of the vintage Polly Pockets than the new Polly playsets are. I think these would be more interesting if they were more realistically detailed, as opposed to just looking cartoony and fantasy-like.
