From the big guy point of view

They aren't kidding whey they hype this as tough - it is. I'm 6' 4" and weigh... well a lot more than I should. In the 300# + range... I purchased previous floor mats for more from Staples - and they usually last about 3 years. They show indentations but take a long time to start cracking. but this new one: I've sat for 12 hour days in my office chair on the floor mat and there's no indentation at all! I've picked it up and checked - nada! If it breaks or cracks, I'll report back! (but I doubt it will)

Excellent chair mat

Arrived in a huge box so that it was flat. Others commenting that it came rolled up apparently ordered an impostor. Minimal odor that was either gone or not noticeable within a few hours. I weigh 155lbs, and sitting in an executive chair with wheels and my feet in the chair criss-cross, I can vouch that the wheels do not sink in at all. Picture is with me sitting with the legs criss-cross in the chair, so it has a full 155lbs of weight on it. I haven't measured the thickness with a micrometer like previous reviewers so I can't swear to the thickness, but it's doing exactly what I wanted. It IS about 2" shorter than the one I'm replacing, but I can't honestly say if this one is smaller than normal or the other was larger, or if the "standard" size has gotten smaller over the years. The size is perfectly fine for me, though, and if not for the dirty line in my carpet from the old one I wouldn't have even noticed.

very strong material

This mat fits perfect and is the same size as my old plastic mat. Chair glides over surface real well. It does seem to be gret quality. Comes shipped flat. No need to roll out to shape mat. Clings to carpet.

Well worth the price for this carpet chair mat.

This is a light weight carpet chair mat. It was slightly smaller in dimension then other chair mats I have had in the past. This actually was a big plus for me as it was easier to maneuver and install under the tight place under my desk that I have available for it. The mat is transparent with a great grip on the carpet and doesn't move or slip around at all. My office chair wheels glide smoothly on the mat and it does hold so tight I don't feel the transition from off or on the mat at all. It is crystal clear rather then opaque and super easy to clean. It's an extremely sturdy mat for only being 1/8 inch thick!

Office Chair Moves Again

I live in an apartment with a built-in desk on living room carpet. The weight of an empty office chair makes grooves in the carpet that make it difficult to move the chair. I purchased a rolled up plastic mat with teeth to keep the mat in place under the chair. Literally for years, the mat stayed curled despite my attempts with a hair dryer and heavy iron garden steps to flatten it. The teeth in the mat could not grip the carpet because the mat was not flat. The teeth were sharp, and it hurt my fingers to move the mat. In time, the mat relaxed, but the grooves that formed under the chair wheels cracked and holes formed that the chair wheels slid into and it was difficult to position the chair. This mat solved all those problems. The plastic is a little thicker, and the mat arrived flat but not brittle. It has the same kind of teeth, but the strength of the material keeps the mat flat. I can see that scratches are forming that look a little like chalk marks. They don't bother me, so I haven't tried to wash them off. When I stand up from the chair I back it up to the desk to hold it in place because it slides so easily.

Excellent Chair Mat Heavy Duty As Advertised

Ordered on October 18th and just now received it October 20th. Received this chair mat much sooner than expected! This mat is "EXCELLENT!" The mat is exactly as advertised and definitely worth 5 stars. I highly recommend this seller and the chair mat. The mat is high quality and well worth the money. You will not be disappointed!

Best Mat ever !

We needed a new mat for under our desk chair because the other one had cracked. We purchased one at a wholesale clubs which was a big mistake because when you sat down in the chair you had a terrible time moving the chair back and away from the desk, you literally got stuck because the chair left big dents in the matt. So we purchased this mat from Amazon because it had great reviews. This mat was delivered in a big flat cardboard box, there is zero chemical odor coming from this mat and it stays put, there is no sliding or traveling on our new carpet at all, the thickness of our carpet fiber is 1/2 inch. Our desk chair is pretty heavy and sitting in it does not leave any dents from the wheels in this mat, not even tiny ones, absolutely none what so ever. We are very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great desk chair mat.

Great product! STURDY and GRIPPING! Works well with plushy/shaggy type carpet.

I paid a little higher for what I hoped would be a great product and long term investment and am not disappointed in the least bit. I ordered this for my "medium grade" carpet - however my carpet feels more like 70's shag. It is great. It does not slide around on the carpet and my chair GLIDES with EASE on the mat. It came in a box that the mat had to barely be rolled, just end tip to end tip, nothing major and it flattened out as soon as I removed the tape that was holding it rolled. Watch your fingers, when you do remove the tape because the recoil to go flat is lightening fast and those little grippers on the bottom of the mat are sharp for gripping the carpet, but not enough to cut flesh (just a tiny bruise, caused by my unexpectation of the recoil, and trying to catch it) It's only been 3 solid days of working 8 - 10 hour days in my chair and weighing in at 150 lbs for the chair AND me, it has yet to indicate that there would ever be an issue of chair indentions in the mat. Highly recommend based on my experience thus far. Check back in a month or three for updates if any are necessary. Thank You!

Great size, great material. Odor FREE.

Best chair mat ever. Super sturdy. Very Transparent. That's 100% Polycarbonat. The little studs underneath for great grip stop the matt from sliding on any surface. Well packaged and no damage or scratch visible. The label peeled of easily with no glue residue.

Comfortable and does the job

I read the other reviews about this chair before making my decision on the purchase. I'd say they were spot on, very sleek, comfortable chair after its together. Can be a bit awkward for one person to piece together but it does the job intended. I would recommend this chair to those looking for good support.
