No need to read the manual, here is what I did to get started quickly. If you have an iPhone, scanned the IOS QR code on page 3 of the manual with your phone camera (make sure in setting QR code scan is turned on) and tap on the pop-up window on top of the screen. Install the Mo-View APP and launch it. Hold down the power button on the side of the Endoscope for 3 seconds or until the LEDs are on at the scope tip. Varify Endoscope is on by adjusting the brightness of the LED with the dial on the cable. On your phone Wifi setting look for PLX_Camera then connect and after you have open the Mo-View APP you will see the video running. The image will not be very sharp, slightly out of focus which is to be expected from such a small lens but not too bad for $25 well spend. As an added bonus, this unit comes with a small LED light which can be powered on/off with a separate sliding switch at the side of the unit next to the power button. There are 4 blue LED power indicators on top of the unit showing the amount of power in reserve, all 4 are lite after it is fully charged through a built-in USB cable located on the bottom of the unit. You must have a regular USB port to charge it. The scope comes with many telescopic attachments and a telescopic pole which I have not tried but they appear to be workable. I am impressed with the built quality as it runs quite well the very first time. Time will tell as for durability and I will update this review if needed.

My son had dropped a screw inside his engine and was unable to see it to "grab" it with another tool. The endoscope was perfect for finding and helping to locate the screw and then using a "grab" tool he was able to get the screw. Without the endoscope there was no way to find where the screw was let alone grab it. This device was perfect and we look forward to using it in the future.

Note: this camera was provided to me at no cost for my unbiased and honest review. My experience with camera scopes have been with the rigid cable scopes that attached to their own LCD screen, typically costing upwards of $100. I was very curious and excited to try this scope out. My first use of the scope was to locate and fish an ethernet cable behind drywall. This worked very well as I only needed to insert the scope about 10-12 inches and was able to use a stud to rest and guide the scope behind the drywall. Orienting the camera can be tricky at first as it's hard to tell which way is upright as there are no markings on the camera itself. I marked the top with some tape to easily orient it without having to look at the screen. The WIFI aspect of this worked well for this application as a friend was able to guide me from a few feet while not getting in the way. I also got a chance to use the included telescoping handle to locate and remove a screw that had fallen into the guide rails underneath the drivers seat of my car. For this, I had to use some blue painter's tape to properly secure the camera to the handle as it kept twisting and popping out of the holder without the tape. It took a couple of tries to get the right angle but it worked very well once I found the sweet spot. I used the app on an iPhone and setup was very simple. You simply turn on the transmitter once the camera is connected to it and connect to its SSID from the iPhone's WIFI settings. Once connected, switch back to the app and you have an instant video feed. The app is a simple no-frills affair. Aside from the camera's image which fills the screen, you have the option of taking a picture or video of the image. You can also change the camera transmitter's settings (SSID, Password etc.) from the app settings, however, I didn't see a need for this. There is the option of directly connecting the camera via the cable to an Android device (bypassing the WIFI transmitter), unfortunately I was unable to download the software for this feature to test it out. The android WIFI app was, however, readily available for download so this should not be an issue (though it could be very handy backup if the transmitter battery died while in use). Overall I found this to be an excellent little device that I definitely will find many uses for and it definitely has a place in my tool kit.

I got this for working on cars. A buddy has used one several times and swears by it. It's great for several things out side automotive applications also. I can easily see things I normally couldn't without a ton of extra work. I've found leaks in seconds, in places I'd never be able to see without a hour of disassembly. The light is pretty bright and adjustable. This guy has definitely found a spot in my toolbox.

I check the plumbing in my house and now I have a better idea of what the problem is

this works, as advertised. i had a problem with the setup because i didn't read carefully enough to see that i needed to enter the password (12345678) in order to connect to the plx camera network. once i got that, i had no problems. the focal length of the camera is not adjustable (but for less than $30 i still get way more value than expected) but everything else works great. the cable is stiff enough to be useful, the telescoping extender works great and the mirror, magnet and hook tools appear to work well-enough to be useful.

The product was very easy to use. I used the 4-step image guide on the DBPower website. It is a GREAT tool, and will be valuable addition to my tool box.

Using it around the home for inspection of areas like: chimney, dryer vent ducts (more clogged than I realized) and the under carriage of my truck. Great optics for the price and really ease to use.

This tool help me a great deal to install recessed lights on my ceiling so I can see where to drill and ran the line without hitting the water pipe and electrical wires. I wish the light could be brighter but for the size of it I could understand.

Start by saying I could not really evaluate it as it did not work out of the box. My guess is the built in battery was DOA. When plugged into my computer usb it would come on and showed 3 lights with the fourth flashing. But would not turn on otherwise. I sent it back. Will look elsewhere. EDIT. UPDATE 1/6/2019 I am updating my original review based on what happened after returning the original defective product. I was contacted by the seller and offered a free replacement. I told them I would update my review should the product work the way I had expected. I have had it for two days now and have tried it in a few places for which I had intended. So far I am very impressed with the quality of the image it gives me. The light can be adjusted and is very bright. It has enough cable to reach far enough and the extension rod is very firm. I took it to my place of work to use on machinery with areas I need to see and it worked perfectly. The power main unit does feel a little flimsy, but that would stay with my phone and should not get damaged while using. One very small thing is the method of charging. The fixed pull out usb cable is only about 1.5 inches long A slightly better way of charging would be an improvement. But overall , so far,I am very happy with this product.
