This Gate Lock Kit worked wonders. HD has them a bit cheaper - but I saved time/effort by getting this delivered to my front door via Prime shipping (less than 48 hours wait time). Installed easy, quality steel.

Works as intended

I used this latch for a doggie gate to confine a large dog to certain parts of the house, mostly to keep it from bothering the cats and eating their food. It works like a charm.
