works very good for the price

very good for the price.had to finish knife with my ceramic stick,but it put a nice edge on. note to users,it really does work better to not put any downward pressure on blade while sliding through. the reason i gave it 5 stars is because of price. i would give performance 4 stars.

Sharpens knives i haven't been able to sharpen for years. The suction base could be improved. Overall very impressed with sharpener. Would buy again.

Great product and exactly what I was looking for.

Got this for dad for Christmas. While I didn’t get to see him use it, he did the “dad bit” and opened the whole thing up and inspected it and loved it. Came in great condition and the storage case is great to keep all the pieces together and out of the way.

Never use any downward force.

I rarely write a review on anything I have purchased from Amazon, I figured you take your chances on the Chinese made junk which Amazon normally sells. I purchased the “Bluesim Chef's Knife,Stainless Steel 7.5 inch Sharp High Carbon Steel Chef's Knife, @ $29.66”. After a few uses the knife needed too be sharpened. So I also purchased an “Honing Rod - 8 Inch Stainless Honing Steel - Professional Knife Sharpening Steel, @$16.47”. I can only assume that I am very unskilled in holding the correct angle for the knife against the sharping steel. I only made the knife duller. So I then purchased the “Green Elephant Knife Sharpening Rod, Lightweight & Highly Durable Ceramic Honing Steel, 11 Inch, @$29.65”. Once again I was unable to achieve the desired sharping result. I really liked the knife, as it very comfortable to hold and use in my hand, and wanted to keep it. I finally purchased the Chefman Electric Knife Sharpener, 2 Stage Diamond Coated Sharpening Blades @ $24.98. I was awe struck with the results after passing the knife a mere 3 times through the machine. Following the instructions, and not putting any downward force what-so-ever on the knife, the blade is so sharp that I was able to drop a green grape from a height of 8 inches on to the blade and have sliced in two. I was able to slice a ripe tomato like it was warm butter. This is the best product I have ever purchased from Amazon. Just remember to never use any downward force on the knife too be sharpened. Just let the weight of the knife do all the work. For me this is truly a 5 Star product.

Sharp tool

This electrical sharpener is doing the job and is easy to handle. We had to fiddle around a little bit to handle the sharpening process right. Once one has the handle of it, the knives are going to be sharp.

Excellent Knife Sharpener for a Great Price

This is my first electric knife sharpener (so I have no others to compare it to), but I had a block full of dull knives that the Chefman sharpened quickly and accurately. Very easy to use.

Knife Sharpening the Easy Way!

I ordered the Chefman Electric Knife Sharpener mostly due to the great price but also because I was so tired of getting dull knifes out of the drawer. Upon receipt of the sharpener, I decided to give it a try. I started with the knifes in the drawer and one by one I sharpened them up in a matter of a few minutes with the Chefman. After I finished with them, I decided to give the ones in the knife block a try. In all I would say I sharpened 20 knives in around 30 minutes. I was so impressed I ordered another one for a birthday present for my Dad.
