You cannot beat the quality for the price. What they fail to mention is that the leads are extra long compared to others. That's a huge plus. The "kickstand" in the back is NICE. The digital readout is just the right size. The only drawback I have is that the "backlight" turns off too soon. It would be nice if the backlight stayed on until the unit went into auto-off or until the user turned it off. Other than that, five stars across the board.

I've used the expensive Flukes and other meters in the past. This is a great, low cost option for the hobbyist or handyman. It's readings seem to be accurate.

I am not an electrical expert, but this item appears to do everything I need and is of good construction. Good value, it is.

A great price for an awesome multimeter. In my opinoin, it was the best bang for the buck.

Works well. I use it to test battery strength.

I cannot tell that this is a simple multimeter because it have lots of features. But it is light, small and have a great price. The temperature meter is kind of cool. I don't need it but I am using it just for fun. Great product.

I apologize for not making an earlier review regarding Astro digital-multimeter. I received it promptly and on time and the DMM meter is n excellent choice that I made. Features are more than what I expected, compared to a 35 year old DMM Radio Shack meter that I paid $55.00 for at the time it was one of their best units. The new AstroAI TRMS-4000 unit is more than 5-Time's better and for a fraction of the cost compared to my old one. Once-again, I just wanted to say Thanks for the excellence and sophistication and a real bargain, Oh-yeah, the AstroAI was well package (Like it just came off of the assembly-line) and everything was right their in the box... WILL S.

For $28 this VOM is more than spectacular. Actually it is a good buy for $128. It even has a termister to measure temperatures. Its DC/AC read seems accurate.

As strictly an amateur, electricity ignorant DIYer, I found requests to company in California were answered promptly and sympathetically My questions were answered and legible operating instructions were sent. My use of this instrument was for simple tests of power, voltage, strength, continuity.

I already have the big brother to this meter and like it so much I tried this 4000 count one as well since the price is so low right now, I might like this smaller one a bit better than the larger one in some ways. For $17.99 and free shipping I simply have no real meaningful complaints, if any it would be the plugs would seem like they fit loose, but in all my testing and jiggling it does not seem to affect the electrical connection one bit, its just a result of matching this particular type plug in with the usual split jacks and the electrical connection itself doesnt show any effects from this it just seems to be the physical fit - ive never seen it affect the displayed number. I like this one as much or more than its big brother partly as this one has a better looking backlight. The blue backlight on the larger model has an odd washed out effect on the digits but the display is still very readable. This DT132A has a nice looking white backlight that I have no issues with other than like most it doesnt stay on long enough. As with its larger 6000 count brother theres a good deal of functionality here for the money, and ive found it very accurate in the main volt ohm cap ranges etc and it even reads temps without the thermocouple inserted if desired, and reads within 2 - 3 degrees - mine does at least. The continuity range has good volume, is reasonably fast and its even better after cleaning the tips with fine steel wool and alcohol. As with all meters in this price range theres little in the way of serious input protection, so use it accordingly its not an industrial plant meter its a home/hobby meter and given the price point and functionality im fine with that.
