I have been using a Cuisinart coffee pot and have hated the coffee it makes. The coffee is very weak lacking the rich coffee flavor. I finally decided to try the Ninja. It is very well designed. They really put a lot of thought into this unit. The carafe pours nicely. The coffee tastes so much better and richer than the Cuisinart. I thought it was the coffee I was using. But with the same coffee, I got way better results with the Ninja. The size is about the same as the Cuisinart and. I did not think the coffee was too hot. I don’t write a lot of reviews, but was so impressed with this pot that I wanted to share my results. I almost stopped drinking coffeee because of the Cuisinart. Thank u Ninja!

We are picky about our coffee and this coffee maker is great. Makes consistent cups of coffee each day and makes good coffee!

Received this the other day. Set up was easy. The entire unit was put together and I just had to removed padding & tape. Included was a coffee scoop, permanent filter, water tank & carafe. If you prefer paper filters, it does state you can use #4 cone filters. Before using, they suggest you run 2 full carafes through the machine of plain water, which I did. This also comes with a little coffee scoop that can be attached to the side of the machine. I set up the clock, not difficult at all. This morning I brewed my first pot. I decided to do just 4 cups. When brewing, you turn the unit on. The water tank detaches & has cup lines clearly marked for measurement. Fill to the desired amount & then place it back on the unit. I then added my coffee to the filter. If you are doing 4 cups or less, select the Small Batch button, more than 4 cups and you do not select it. From there you can select "Classic" or "Rich" brew. The manual states the Rich brew option is good for those that like to add creamer, flavors, etc to their coffee. I add creamer so I selected Rich for my first time. Once you have made your selections, you hit the Brew button. The brewing has an interesting change from the typical coffee makers I have used. Rather than dripping down from the top of the pot, it drips into the top & then the coffee goes down a straw like device & out into the bottom of the pot. I'm not sure if this makes any difference but found it interesting. Once the coffee is done, the warming plate will stay on 2 hours but you can set it to stay on up to 4 hours. I can say it gets very hot and keeps the coffee hot. Had no issues with temperature, even after added creamer. The coffee itself did come out very rich & flavorful & I was very happy with that! There is also a mid brew pause so you can grab a cup while it is still brewing. There is a Delayed Brew feature so you can set the coffee to brew at a later time. I use this for the morning so my coffee is ready to go for work. Finally, there is a button for cleaning. Per instructions, you use an approved cleaner or water & vinegar & then use the clean feature to cycle through. The detachable water tank will also be a nice feature for helping to keep everything clean. Everything feels sturdy, the carafe is a very nice quality & nothing feels flimsy. I expect this to hold up with use. Overall, I have no complaints at all! Very pleased with the ease of use & then quality of the brew. It doesn't take up much more space than my old Mr. Coffee did either. Really happy with this!!

After having a Keurig for several years, we decided to go back to a simple pot of coffee. I read a gazillion reviews and was willing to spend 3x what I spent for this gem, but in the end we are happy with our purchase. It's simple, easy to use, looks good and makes a great pot of coffee. You won't be disappointed!

Every time I brew a new pot of coffee, I'm more and more happy I purchased the Ninja. I went looking for something that would make a quality brew, but also have a removable water reservoir for ease of use. This fits the bill and more. First off, I'm thoroughly impressed with the noticeable difference in the flavor of coffee. I had a Cuisinart that was just a few years old and didn't cost much less than the Ninja that I just HAD to get rid of. The pot dripped all over the place, often, which made filling it each time a horrible pain, not to mention the coffee spills all the time. The flavor was OK. All in all, not worth what I spent for it. Enter the Ninja. After doing the required 2 pots of water upon setup, I brewed up my first pot of coffee. I immediately noticed a taste difference (after it cooled down some - this thing makes HOT coffee)! I don't know if it's because it does a short bloom of the grounds or just the hotter temperature of the water, or something else. I just know the Ninja makes a noticeably better tasting coffee. The removable water reservoir is easy to grab, thanks to a grab spot molded into the side of it. It makes filling it up extremely easy. Only thing better would be a permanent water line piped into it. :) To top it off... NO DRIPS! I actually spent time trying to make the pot drip. I couldn't do it. It pours perfectly every time and you never have to worry about cleaning up the counter unless you miss the cup! The adjustable amount of delay it keeps the coffee hot after brewing is also nice. 2 hours (standard) always seemed a little short for me. 3 hours is better. I think it goes up to 4 hours. All in all, no disappointments or bad points found about this Coffee Maker, and many good / great points.

This is the first Ninja product I have purchased. I did a lot of research on coffee makers before deciding on this one. The delayed brew feature is very easy to program. I like that you can set the warmer plate to stay on for 2 to 4 hours, especially on the weekend. The removable water reservoir is very convenient. It is also very environmentally friendly with a reusable filter. I have only used the classic brew setting and the coffee has a great flavor. The coffee is very hot, though. That is very helpful when I am using a travel mug on the go. At home, I just have to let it cool off for a bit longer before I can drink it. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker.

Updated March 10, 2019: After using this machine for a couple of months I will definitely rate 5 stars. I just ordered one to have at my son's when I visits as he has a Keurig which I don't prefer. Brews awesome coffee and what I love most is the warming pad doesn't wear down like with the Cuisinart. Worth the purchase! I have used Cuisinart coffee makers for 30 years. As I was looking to purchase another one, I saw the Ninja had 5 stars and clicked on to review. I saw almost all the review writers got a free machine so ignored the reviews even though they are valuable to me. I continued on as I have a Ninja and feel they build quality products. Let me be clear I did NOT get a free machine, but this machine has very early on exceeded my expectations. It seems well built. I love the sturdiness of the carafe. I was surprised the price was so reasonable. Best of all, it brews a great cup of coffee! The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it is early yet. But initial impressions are very good!

I replaced a DeLonghi coffeemaker with this one because I was tired of receiving a lukewarm brew. I've been very pleased with this new machine. Here are some specific pros and (very minor) cons: PROS: - Previously I had to microwave my coffee after brewing it to get it nice and hot for drinking. I'm pleased to to say that this coffee maker brews a very tasty, full-bodied cup of coffee that's appropriately hot, - The warming plate maintains the temperature nicely. - There's a little clip on the side of the machine that holds the coffee scoop which is a nice little feature. - The controls are intuitive and easy to use. - The unit looks good on the counter. CONS: - When removing the carafe to pour the first cup, a drop or two of water drips down from the brewing basket and sizzles on the warming plate. - The 12 cup fill line on the water tank is quite close to the top, which makes it easy to spill when carrying it from the sink if you've filled it to that level. I seldom make a 12 cup pot so it's not really an issue for me. - The permanent filter that's included lets sediment through if you use finely ground coffee, so you may want to use a paper filter instead (this is what I have been doing). All-in-all, I would recommend this coffee maker without reservation. The cons are minor and are far outweighted by the pros. Enjoy and happy coffee drinking!

My husband and I purchased this after our old Mr. Coffee was acting up after 1 year of use. I wanted one a little higher quality but still affordable so we would hopefully avoid it crapping out on us like the old one did. We have been using this coffee maker for about a month now and are very happy with it. It's sharp looking with the stainless. I appreciate it's permanent filter which is easy to remove (though I think you can use paper filters if you want to). I also appreciate it's self cleaning feature. The stay warm feature works well and we have had 0 problems with it. The clock and programming was the easiest I have ever had for set up.... took one minute. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

I had been a K-cup user for the last 6+ years and decided to go back to making my daily coffee the "old fashioned way" and save some money in the process. I had researched several coffee makers here on Amazon and decided on the Ninja due to the mostly positive reviews. After using this product for nearly a week I definitely made the right choice. The design and build quality is very nice and everything comes apart easily for cleaning. I especially like how the water tank is removable and completely see through. One of my main concerns with leaving the K-cup world was how much more time it was going to take to prepare my coffee and clean the carafe and machine each day. Those concerns have mostly been unfounded as the whole cleaning process takes less than a minute or two. In the evening I fill up the water tank and put a paper filter in (it does come with a reusable metal mesh filter but I prefer using paper filters for ease of cleaning and disposal). In the morning I simply add my coffee grounds, push two buttons and voila! I have a full pot of coffee for the entire morning that stays warm (actually hot!) I'm still working on getting the perfect blend of coffee and settings but overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
