I think I found a camera in the smoke detector where I live. I had given up on this thing because last night I tried to use it with the sound on and it buzzed constantly even after I unplugged everything in the room. Probably there are listening devices in here. I've covered up the smoke detector in my room but now assume it has a camera. So this morning right after I woke up my fire tablet started beeping nonstop. This happens a lot when I wake up in order to let me know I'm being watched. If I told you what's going on you wouldn't believe me. I turned this device on vibrate and checked the smoke detector in the hall. At first the lights were making shiny spots on the plastic. Then a red spot showed up in an unlikely spot. It's hidden behind the plastic covering somehow. I don't know how to check for bugs. My fire tablet obviously had something loaded. In shock in California.

Does the job. Detect well

Does very good job while detecting. It very easy to use. One thing I don't like is its size is a little big, and the atenna.

PERFECT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE

This product does what it says it does. Operates on an internal rechargeable battery. Finds pinhole cameras easily using the flashing LED while looking through the viewfinder. As an added feature it will detect RF signals if you want to verify the presence of a camera. Simple to use. There are YouTube videos that will help with the operation of the device. Hold down the laser button to increase the speed of the flashing LED. Makes identifying hidden cams easier. If you do not want to use the RF signal indicator use the slider to turn down the sensitivity and it will not buzz. With the slider turned all the way up it will detect the presence of RF if positioned anywhere in the room/house without you even needing to be next to it. So slide it down until the last level light stops shining and then go near a hidden cam, wireless landline, cell phone, or anything that emits a signal and it will sound off. Really good product for the price.

Great Product and an awesome price!!!

I purchased this product because of reports of hidden cameras in hotel rooms and I am going on vacation. Well, I did some at home tests, and I can say I am completely satisfied with this product. At this price point, it is a real deal. First, I tested my home cameras, and the viewer easily found every one, next, I checked all devices and wireless cameras in my house and it found every one. My advice is to turn off your wifi and cell phone, start with the little antenna fully extended and the sensitivity turned all the way up...if it picks something up, to try to find where it is, push the antenna in a notch, and turn down sensitivity as you get closer...you will easily be able to fine tune your search by using this method. Practice on something you know is an actual device, and then you get the hang of the way it works...this is a cool little device and it really works if you take the time to learn how it works and then hone your skills at finding what you are looking for...

A simple tool

You keep hearing those stories about people planting cameras in hotel rooms and rental places. Now maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm also curious. I travel a lot, and I decided to take it for a spin. I liked the treated/tinted viewfinder to seek for hidden cameras. I tried it on my home security devices - the darker the room, the better it works. All camera lenses lit up like a small, red, bright dot through the viewfinder. Overall a nice toy, can’t wait for my next trip to test it.

Makes my business trip more secure.

I don't have a chance to go to hotel to try this out until my first business trip in this month. It is very simple to use(but make sure you charge first) It has Laser detection, Vibration (mute) detection, Beep detection and Led display detection. Luckily, I didn't find anything unusual in my room with the device. So I could sleep safe and sound. LOL

This thing is awesome! Works great and easy to use, so I went ahead and ordered a second one for a friend of mine.

It Works!

This device answered a nagging thought that we really are under surveillance and not losing our minds. We have a neighbor below us who generates noxious fumes/aerosols that seeps into our apartment. Initially, when we enter in, the air in our apartment would be clear then after staying about 20 minutes in a common area in our home the fumes would seep in. The RF Signal Detector device signaled that there must be some kind of motion detector that is being used to monitor where we are in the apartment to fumigate wherever we may be in the apartment. We recorded the ‘hotspots’ in our apartment on video. Along with having our air tested the visual levels on that device will hopefully help us in court.

Good product once you figure out how to use it

As with anything new that you are not familiar with, it takes a little time to figure out how to use it. This device relies on the signals that the spy device (camera, microphone, etc.) is emitting to locate the device. I don’t really do a lot of high-security work; so I mainly bought this for fun. It’s a neat toy, and while it took a bit to figure out, it seems to work as specified.

Just what I wanted. It is small and easy to use. Wired cameras use the smallest red eye lense. Good camera detector. The customer service is great. What a fun purchase!
