Makes snow clean off a breeze
Pretty cool little tool to keep in the trunk. The "broom" part of it was MUCH larger than I was anticipating, so it does take up some space in the trunk even when its broken down. However, the last few snow falls, I was able to clean my entire roof off in 2 quick pushes of the Snow Joe, instead of spending 5 minutes with my brush trying to reach the middle of my car. One downfall: you really need to screw the pole into the base tightly, or it will just twist while you are trying to clean you car, but I can live with that.

Nice size and easy to use and a new update!
It is May. I am in Colorado at 8400 feet. Big snow today and tomorrow. This was still in the box, since I didn't think I would need it until later in the year. I busted it out and put it together and I love the way it cleared the 3-4 inches of accumulated snow on my truck. Flip it around and use the scraper after getting the heaviest snow off and voila! I like the head's material, so I needn't worry about scratching my ancient truck which still looks good! Getcha one! I wanted to add an update. I had been searching for a way to clear my solar panels and had not found a tool which satisfied me to do this. I had purchase and extendable pole last year and found to my surprise that I could adapt the head of this to that pole! It made it very nice and easy to clear the snow off my panels without scratching them and some of the heavy scrapers that come with snow removal, designed for heavy removal from roofs are very difficult to use and would likely scar the panels. So....I am doubly satisfied now that I have a second use for this!! Attached is a picture of the pole I used.

Works when it works
I love these things. Easiest way to get the snow off the roof of my truck. UPDATE: The new model with the snap together poles gave me problems putting it together. When I held in the button to put the two pieces of pole together, the button which isn’t secured enough, stays depressed and doesn’t pop up into the hole to lock the two pieces together. It took about 10 minutes of trying to manipulate it to get it to work. Just this morning, after it’s 4th use, the problem came back while I was using it. Not sure how, I wasn’t touching that part. It was about zero degrees this morning and that MAY have had something to do with it, idk. But I’m going to go back to the original version or a different brand of similar style.

Made quick work of clearing snow off SUV
I recently used Snow Joe to remove about 6 inches of very heavy, wet snow from my medium-sized SUV. I left the center bar off, making the whole Snow Joe shorter. That made the roof a little harder to do, but it gave me better leverage as I’m not that strong. Sometimes I pushed, sometimes I pulled, and within minutes the car was cleared off. The pole loosened a little from the scraper end, but once I tightened it well, that didn’t happen again.

This thing is great.
Normal snow brushes with built-in scrapers are useless. I just use my arm to pull the snow off my car and then go after any frost or ice with a brass blade or one of those cone-shaped scrapers. I'm also only 5'1 so this process isn't very efficient, and there are spots I will never be able to reach. We basically had no snow all season this year... until we got dumped on in February. And then again in March. I think it was the last day of the March snowstorm that these were under $10. I figured I wouldn't have a use for it until next season, but it bought it anyway since I was sick of having a cold, wet arm and a dirty coat from having to lean and stretch across the car. Even more snow came in April so I was super excited to use this. I had the entire car completely cleared of several inches of wet, heavy snow in probably less than 2 minutes. It made me want to clean off every other car I could see. The shorter edge of the foam also worked really well for breaking up and loosening those sheets of slushy, crunchy snow that coat the car but aren't quite solid ice yet. I just tapped the short edge or corner on it until it cracked and then pushed it right off. Better yet, I have a cheap, useful Christmas gift for people this year.

Thankful for the Snow Joe
I guess I have the "outdated version" according to Amazon. I bought it a year ago and with today's snowstorm in the northeast it has once again proven its worth. There's something oddly satisfying with pushing a big mass of slushy snow off the car and clearing off a big chunk without getting yourself wet or covered in snow at all. It took about three minutes to get the 1 or so inches of slush off my car this morning. It would have been a huge pain to use one of those ice scraper brush things. The pole for mine takes effort to collapse, but during the winter I keep it assembled and extended on my side porch so I can just grab it whenever I need. If I know it's going to snow while I'm at work I just toss it in the car. This is probably one of my best Amazon purchases.

Love the Snow Joe
We bought the Snow Joe before this last winter (2018) and I kept it in my car. I usually park my car in the garage when home, but have to park it outside at work so there are several days when it snows while I am at work. The Snow Joe makes much faster work of clearing off the car. I can usually have the car cleared off within one (1) minute. It is really that fast. Please keep in mind that the snow we have in Eastern Idaho is dry and fluffy, so it is easy to push off. But, the Snow Joe has the reach and the width to get it done. The ice scrapper at the end of the pole is also very handy, that way you only have one item to work with to get the snow and ice off the car. Pros: Telescopic handle make it very easy to reach most of the car from one side. Wide pusher allows for much faster removal of the snow. Soft material is gentle on the car. Cons: None so far

BRUSH OR SHOVE SNOW OFF YOUR CAR?
I live near Buffalo, NY so I'm no stranger to cleaning snow off a car. This product is AWESOME!!!! I have tried many brushes in the past and I always end up with snow on myself and it takes awhile to get a foot of snow off your car. With the Snow Joe it takes very little effort or time to clean my car off. You are basically shoving the snow off your car in one stroke. Think about it, do you want to brush snow or shove snow off your car in 19 degree weather? I bought one for my mom, sister and friend for Christmas!! I bought the one that doesn't extend automatically so it is long but it does such a great job of cleaning my car off that I don't mind that it is not compact. I could pull it apart but when it is cold all you want to do is get in your car as quickly as possible so I toss it in the back seat. I'm very happy with this product!!!! Best idea ever!!!!

Lightweight snow removal with scraper
I bought this for use on my wife's SUV and my Pickup Truck, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I have used it about a dozen times this winter and it does well to remove the snow from the entire vehicle. The extension handle allows me to reach the top of my truck with ease, and the soft foam head doesn't scratch the paint. In heavy, wet snow I was afraid it would damage the lightweight foam, but it powered right through with no issues. The scraper is also a nice addition that doesn't require you to have another thing to carry around. I would recommend this item to anyone who lives in a winter weather climate and is looking for a safe way to remove the snow from your vehicle without scratching up the paint. You pay a lot for your vehicle, so spend a few dollars on a snow removal tool that won't scuff/scratch that nice paint!

Life-Changing!
This is one of the best purchases I've ever made in my life, seriously! Cleaning off my car in the past could take me over 15 minutes (on a good day) and often included snow in my shoes, up my sleeves, on my pants, and covering my coat. Being a lifelong New Englander at 5 feet, 2 inches tall, I can say that desperate times (aka 2+ feet of snow) have called for desperate measures - like brooms, mops, and even a metal shovel to clear off my car. :-O With the SnowJoe and a few push-pull swipes my car is cleared off completely in a minute...max. I'm not covered in snow, super agitated, late for work, estimating the cost of a paint job, or praying I won't get a ticket for that small patch of snow left on my roof. How and Why had I never heard of this Snowjoe thing before??! I feel like it's wrong that more people don't know about this thing! It's a total game changer...which I plan on buying one for everyone on my Christmas list next year.
